Free Wi-Fi at the airport....gotta love it.

So how's everyone? I'm in Tampa, waiting for my flight. Today is a better day here than at home, but our weekly forecast at home is better than here! All I can say is that it has GOT to WARM UP!

I'm a little bummed about leaving here. It's always a catch-22; hate to leave my dad but anxious to be home with hubby and sons again (and, apparently, a VERY lonely cat!!).

But!...I'll be back in little more than 2 months!!!!!!!!!!!!! Creativeamanda, I do think I'll start up the PTR after all. You convinced me. Especially since I'm not letting myself get all excited about the trip at home in front of my not-going-with-me family.... It'll give me an outlet!:rotfl: I'm going to re-open the one I started last fall, when I was going to take a solo in January. There's only 2 posts by me and one reply from you, so I can edit it very easily and adapt it to this trip.

So there you go.

We got brave and visited all 4 parks in 2 days. Actually, more like a day and a half.

We drove up Saturday morning. We ran an errand up in Sanford than drove back down to check in at Saratoga for the night. It had rained all morning, but just after checking in, it cleared up and the temps went down. DH decided we should just get on the first bus that shows up and go to that park (minus DTD.) The bus to Animal Kingdom showed up first, so we hopped on. We got to the park around 2 and headed straight for the Safari ride. There was no wait. Because it was cool, the animals were all out. We even had to stop for one to cross in front of us. When the ride came to an end, the guide said anyone who wanted to ride again could just stay seated. We and one other family stayed. The other family was going on their third round trip. This time around we got to see a few more animals than before. The guide offered to let us go around again, but we wanted to check out other rides. We headed to Dinoland and got on the Dumbo like ride. Next we tried out a few carnival games while DD3 got her face painted. Now it was decision time, the park closed at 5. It was almost 4:45 and we could watch the parade or the Nemo show. We figured this was a great chance to see Nemo with no wait. We were right, we walked right up and sat near the front. The show was great. I felt bad for the cast though because the audience was only half filled and pretty mellow. I'm sure they are used to having a full theater of mostly enthusiastic viewers.

Since the park was closed, we took a bus over to the MK. We grabbed dinner first at the Pecos Bill. They have some new do it yourself kiosks where you can order and pay. As we finished, people were lining up for Spectromagic. We grabbed a spot and waited. Though I was rudely pushed aside by a woman who wanted to video tape the parade. :headache: Urgh! I hate rude people. I just made sure she stayed out of the line of sight of my girls, so they could enjoy the parade.

After the parade, we wanted to take in some rides before the park closed. Peter Pan still had a long line, though the park wasn't too packed. :confused3 Pooh had no line so we jumped on. DD10 wanted her face painted next, so we went to Toontown. We enjoyed "Wishes" while she had her face done. Time was running out, but we weren't going to stop. Next up, Barnstormer! We not only jumped right on, but were told by the CM that we could stay for another ride. Which we did. For 4 rides in a row!:banana::banana:

DD10 said she felt lucky and wanted to see if we could get into Pixie Hollow. We ran across and saw the sign said a 45 minute wait. The park closed in 30 minutes. :confused3 We asked the CM and he said the sign hadn't been updated yet and suggested we go back. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to come get us and one other family. :yay: We saw Silvermist, Tink, and Rosetta. Tink loved my Tinkerbell iPhone cover. Rosetta had a fun conversation with DD3 about being sucked up into a horse's nose and then being sneezed out. When we left, DD3 begged to go see the Princesses. We ran in just as they closed up the line. Only Cinderella and Belle were left, but the girls were happy to see them.

Our luck didn't end there, we got to the bus just in time and still got a seat for the ride back.

Back at the room, I could feel my luck was ending because I was starting to feel sick. I took a hot bath and went to bed early. DH had tickets for some ESPN weekend thing the next morning and we had to get up early.

We woke up early Sunday and packed up. We drove over to DHS and got there before opening. We did manage to avoid the mad dash to TSM, but still got there in time to get Fast Passes. The wait was 30 minutes so we did the ride, got another Fast Pass, used our first Fast Pass then headed out for other stuff. I saw "One Man, One Dream" for the first time and took my first drawing class at the animation studio. I go to Disney a lot, but there are still so many things we haven't tried or rarely do. For lunch, the whole family went to the backstage ESPN insider thing. DH loved listening and talking about sports while eating, but the kids and I weren't so enthralled. So we all ate and left soon after. We used up our last Fast passes for TSM before heading over to Star Tours. This was DD3's first ride on it. A short way through, the CM made an announcement about no video taping then the audio went away totally. Everyone on the ride tried to make their own sound effects until the sound came back just as we were destroying the Death Star. When we were getting off, we mentioned the audio and they said we could ride again. Our party was the only one to take them up on it! So we had the whole ship to ourself. The CM apologized saying she muted the show to tell the person to stop video taping the show and forgot to unmute it. :rotfl:

Since the park was packed from ESPN weekend, we decided to head to Epcot. At this point, I felt like poop. But I usually try to ignore feeling bad and hope it goes away. Not really a good idea. Still we ventured on to Epcot. We grabbed Fast Passes for Test Track while the kids ran crazy in Innoventions (or as DH calls it, Interventions.) :rotfl: We tried to find a good last minute place to eat at Guest Services. They suggested going to the place we wanted because they would know better about last minute cancellations. We decided on the Garden Grill... and we got it... last minute... with a party of 9! The food was okay, but not as good as I remember it. I feel like the prices have gone up but the food quality has gone down at a lot of the Disney restaurants. :sad2:

Once we were down, it was getting dark and cold. We still had our TT fast passes, so we decided to do that then get the heck out of dodge. I really love doing TT at night. The moon was full and it was so beautiful!

The ride home was a little rough. We had two very tired kids and one sick mommy. It was a fun weekend, but I really am paying for it today. I just hope I don't pass the sickies down like in Amanda's house.

Sounds like a busy two days, Mean Queen.

I hate that you all are feeling bad. My stomach is actually starting to bother me. . .again! I'm going to get through it, though--I've missed 2 days of work in the past 2 weeks with sick kids.

WooHoo!! I just saw that I was the last poster on the old thread. :cool1::banana::cheer2::cool1::banana::cheer2:

I see you do what I do. Just try to push through the sickness so you can save your days off for when the kids get sick. My coworkers don't understand that concept.

....apparently, they don't have kids...;)
