I have something cheerful to talk about, Toy Story Mania! It was such a great ride. We waited about 90 minutes, but I think it was worth it. Once you get inside, the queue is so full of fun stuff, the wait was nothing. Well, not nothing, but not as bad as when we were lined up all the way to the entrance near One Man's Dream (or whatever it's called.) Here are a few pictures:

We also saw the Block Party Bash for the first time. It was very cute and some of the kids in the audience get to join in the fun.

How very COOL! Thanks for sharing your pics. I would love to see that ride for myself. Toy Story is one of my favorite Disney movies.

I have seen a few homes in Asheville that are log homes and the granite actually looks completely different in them... I guess it is the contrast.

Okay, that's the way I'm leaning anyhow.

Are you near Asheville? My daughter wants to go to Biltmore very badly. We are taking our vacation in Gatlinburg this summer and she wants us to drive over there and do the tour. But I hear its very pricey.

We'll have to see.

Just got back from Dunkin Donuts with my dad!! It's a beautiful day here and I'm heading out for a walk soon, then we'll be off to do something this afternoon.

It sounds like your family is a few years away from enjoying Universal. The Simpsons is doing for the Studios what TSM will do for DHS. I'm curious to see how the attendance goes after HP opens at IOA.

When HP opens, we'll probably get passes. DH and I are huge Potter fans. By then, our oldest will hopefully be less of a wimp. I'm not worried about my smallest. She's a bit of a daredevil.

Well...I was VERY disappointed this morning. I went to the AP preview of TSM and waited in line for 20 mins before the damn ride went down! I got as far as the Tinkertoy cannister before they made us all leave! I checked by twice before giving up and left the park around 11:30am and it was still down! I guess I'll ride it whenever I get over there again. They did an excellent job in the queue area with lots of detail. Here are a few pictures:

It's pretty wild, isn't it?!! Just as dangerous a job as ice trucking, in its own way (maybe more so!). That part of Oregon is some beautiful country!!

There is a brand-new episode on at 10pm tonight. DH and I are anxiously awaiting it, since we've gotten into all the characters and logging groups/companies! And of course there's always some little drama being played out between the guys!!

Yeah, a guy almost got hit and killed with the flying cable. That was scary. It does look beautiful there, I love mountains.

That really stinks that you couldn't ride it. I guess they are still working out some kinks. The pictures are great. I loved the Candy Land area. I kept yelling "I got double green. Let me move up!"

I am about 2 hours from there. Actually going to Asheville this coming weekend for my anniversary.

I have been to the Biltmore several times and it is very pricey. Some of the hotels up there have packages where you get tickets. Days inn on Tunnel road used to.. you could check it out. You can spend the whole day as you can go to the winery and walk around the grounds. The tour itself is not that long. We would take picnic baskets and picnic in the gardens etc when we went. It is beautiful and their wine is very tastey too.

Good morning everyone!! I hope you all had a very pleasant weekend. Mine was wonderful. But today is back to the old grindstone.

Good Morning to you too! I had a great Mother's Day. We went to brunch, then swimming at the country club. Then my 2 friends and me went to the salon for pedicures and manicures while the dad's watched the kids. When we got back to my house, we had a cookout. The only thing that would have made it better (other than having my own mom around still) is if we had our own pool to keep the pool fun going all day.

Hey Mean Queen. It does sound like you had a wonderful Mother's Day. My kids bought me 2 rocking chairs from Cracker Barrel. They then cooked dinner for me. (and cleaned up ) Any time I have all 6 of us sitting around a table together is a special day though. Except yesterday we had 7. My oldest DS brought his girlfriend with him. She is a wonderful young woman. So I guess time will only tell if this is the begining of our family starting to enlarge. ( That's a little scary to think about.)

Those Cracker Barrel chairs are nice (and pricey)! What sweet kids. Though it does seem scary to think about your babies getting married. No matter how old they are, they are still your babies.
