Bay Lake has a long padded dinette bench instead of chairs for the dining table.

I had 5 buzzards circling me the other day. But I had been working in the yard and I smelled. I guess they thought I had worked myself about to death. And they were right.

AWWW!!! What a great idea, thank you so much. If I had the power to be there, I so would. Thank goodness I have a trip coming up in three weeks.

I have no ambition to do anything today (actually I'd love some alone time ) but Mom and Nana are really wanting to take us all to this farm fest in a neighboring town. It sounds like a lot of fun, and I know my DS will love it, but I would love to sneak off by myself for a few hours today. Maybe I can do that later.

I sure did! I'm just sad it's all over. I can't wait to go back to Bay Lake. Now back to a big smack of reality. DD3 gets all off schedule when we go on trips and now we're having a hard time getting her back on. She's cranky and fighting sleep. My sweet tempered girl is starting to assert her independence a bit more than I like.

Good morning, everyone!

I am dragging today. We went to a farm fest in a neighboring town and oh my goodness, was it fun. Even though I was wearing sunblock, I got a little burnt and that just sucks it right out of me (I'm allergic to the sun). Afterwards, everyone came back to our place for an impromptu barbeque, so right now, I have od'ed on family time and I'm beat. Never did get that alone time I was hoping for, but oh well.

I'm thinking about taking DS out today, at least to the library. We've got a movie and some books waiting there for us so that could be a nice way to spend the day.

I love hearing about the adventures of your/our rotfl armadillo. I think you should journal his/her adventures.

I'm cleaning house. I don't know why but I can't clean without re-decorating too. I think I have a sickness. I am having to make myself NOT pull out the Christmas decorations. I know, I know.......

We are home schooling. I'm trying to get DS12 set up with an on-line curriculum and having a hard time making a decision. He needs structure and wants to do something on the computer. The other two are much easier....they're very much "go with the flow" types and we build our studies around what interests them.


Armadillo Journal: "Day 1 - slept all day. Awake at 9:00pm to begin rounds. Filled the Lego yard with holes as I annihilated the resident scorpion population. This seems to be a welcome process. Will repeat procedure tomorrow."




Umm....Christmas decorations???.....Really, hon?!.....It's ok, we're here for you..... You can tell us all about your obsessions. We won't laugh (much)....

I haven't even made it to the library yet! Thank goodness they're open until 8pm. DS has been a little off lately with trying to give up nap time but I've noticed a lot of defiance and crankiness as a result. I think I'm going to give him a nap and then we'll head out to the library. I may entertain the notion of McDonald's as well. Possibly.

Most likely. After all the cooking yesterday, I have no energy to do anything and I really need to clean too!

I know what you mean. When I'm cleaning and decluttering like I have been, I'm always wanting to rearrange things, or showcase different items. For us though, we have so much stuff, I don't even need to shop for anything new.

And do not pull of the Christmas decor! What happened to fall and Halloween!!!!! You're jumping ahead.

I forgot that you were home schooling. How long have you been doing that? I'm very interested because it's something I have considered.

LegoMom....I understand your oldest ds needing structure. My day has to be structured or I tend to get lost.

I love the armadillo journal. Who knows.....we just might have to find you an editor to get this thing published. then you can make millions on "The journey of an armadillo".


TK....Take your time. Today seems to be a good day for it. Trying to get past the crucial nap time. That's a tough one....I still haven't gotten through it.

Don;t worry ya'll....I'm not pulling the Christmas decorations out yet. I can't get to them by myself. And no one will help me. I always start decorating the weekend after Halloween. So......I guess I'll just have too wait.
