Well, I just saw on Facebook where Mean Queen posted she's in the Magic Kingdom. Just a little jealous. She posted a couple of pictures from her phone of the girls in MK. We got up this morning and went to the beach. I'm sitting by this window overlooking the saltwater marsh. It's so pretty here. . .

Yes I do. But now I want a BLT. We are grilling filet of mignon tonight. My hubby is a grill master. Those thick little steaks are juicy and butter tender. Ummmmmm.....now my mouth is starting to water.

This is my favorite steak and hubby usually grills them for me on Saturday nights.......the kids are never home. Awwwwwww........not!!

You are gonna have to let us know just how he expresses his pure joy at being married to a babnanadillo. (How's that for a run on sentence?)

I personally am keeping it a secret.


So far its a good morning. We should be in church. (feeling a bit of guilt over that.) Hubby has been REALY busy and is tired. I think he is due for a wee bit of pampering today.

I know all of you will understand my excitement at this... I am sitting on my balcony listening (faintly) to rope drop at the MK. I am watching the monorails come in and out of the Contemporary and the AstroOrbiter spin around in front of the castle. Though I am trying to figure out how to get the large buzzard watching me to leave. I've told it I'm not dead, just in awe. But it's still staring at me. (This area near the Contemporary has lots of vultures, no clue why. )

I also took a great video of the entire "Wishes" show from my balcony, but it's so long I can't find a site that will allow me to upload it. Even YouTube limits it to under 10 minutes.

The vulture has flown away and is now circling high over Space Mountain, probably trying to find a dead babnanadillo.

WOW!!!!!!!!! I didn't want to requote all your pictures, but color me jealous and very happy for you!!!! That is awesome. That's honestly the first DVC that's made me want DVC so badly.

Mean Queen - WOW!... Yep, that about sums it up!..... Glad you're enjoying your weekend. How are the crowds at the parks?

Smileybug - we're having the church debate here, too. DH slept lousy last night (as did DS12) due to allergies. I'll be surprised if we can even get DS12 up and out of bed before noon... Poor kid. DH is up but sucking down coffee at an alarming rate....!

creativeamanda - sounds like you're having a good weekend too! I love the Carolina coast (be glad you're not like our friends up at Cape Cod in MA....TWO Great White sharks sighted up there and one beach at least has been closed!!)

TK - another big hug for ya, hon... I just posted on your TR, too. How is your weekend going? Your weather is cooperating, isn't it?


We're not doing too much this weekend. We nixed Schlitterbahn until we can go and make a weekend of it (we would need to camp and it's too hot here to camp without A/C). None of us felt like driving 3 hours one way. Yesterday I had an afternoon out with DS7. He's been asking for that so we finally did it. Last night all of us went to dinner at a place in town we've been wanting to try. It looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, like it was pieced together with 4 or 5 shacks (can't wait to bring my in-laws there!...) but the food is SO GOOD!!! Burgers and fried chicken and the like. Yum - O!

Today I'm hoping to work on my front rock garden. I've decided that I'll be putting shrub-type plants in this area since the dog walks through it regularly...Flowers will have to go in large pots and be placed elsewhere!

Now if you'll excuse me, I''m going to go finish my coffee on my front porch swing and listen to the Carolina Wren sing (hey, it's not MK Opening Ceremony but I'll take it!...)

I love sitting on my back porch and listening to the birds sing. I had no idea that nature would mean so much to me until we moved here. There is just something about looking at the woods that soothes a bad day.

Amanda - great pictures! The kids look like they're having fun.

We only went to the park yesterday morning. By afternoon, the crowds were getting bigger and the heat too much. So we came back to the resort to see if the room was ready. Today, we took the monorail over to the Poly for lunch at Kona's. Yummy! My DD10 got the Kona Cone for dessert. Wow. I'll post pictures later. Now, we're hitting the pool and just relaxing around here.

LegoMom, thanks for the extra hugs, I really needed it.

I've been in a bit of funk this week, and I'm pulling myself out of it. This morning I went for a nice walk, and work out, and I made a whole bunch of tie dye shirts, and that's always relaxing. I can't wait to see how they come out!

I'm in the process of decluttering our apartment. I absolutely cannot stand clutter. Which is unfortunate, because both DH and I are pack rats. But I feel the need to absolutely streamline everything, and get rid of the junk. The sad thing is when you're not using things you really like because you can't find them amidst the other stuff. So I'm working on each room, little parts at a time, and it's going well so far.

Smiley, sounds like you are having a relaxing time. I'm hoping to do that later, curl up with a nice cup of tea and a good book once my DS goes to sleep. I haven't given him naps for the past couple of days, so he's had an earlier bed time, which is kind of nice.
