Well, DS and I went to check out the school I was telling you all about, and my goodness does that child have no separation anxiety.

None.

What. So. Ever.

Within minutes of arriving, he was talking to different kids outside, playing on the playscapes, just having a great time being a kid.

It gave the director and I chance to have a little tour and talk some more and I really, really loved the place. I can't even go into how great I think this will be for him, it's amazing. Amazing. I'm very excited.

I've decided to start with two days for now. We can always increase to three for the school year, but I think for the summer, two is good to start. My parents will still have him one day a week, and this will be an easier transition for him (and me) I think. I know that he will love it there, but I worry about how he'll do with full days. He'll be there Thursday from 830-330 while I work, and then Friday from 830-500 or 530. Again, I know he'll really love it, but it is going to be long days, so I thought, let's start with two and take it from there.

We go back for orientation on Tuesday and he'll be officially starting the week after Father's Day.

And I've told the folks. So we'll let that sink in as well.

Thanks for all your kind words everyone. I know I don't get into stuff this personal a lot, and I do appreciate the listening and help. :goodvibes

He sounds like my little one. And if he is, you will have to worry more about your hurt feelings when he asks you to pick him up later because he's missing out on something (art time, play time, snack.) My DD3 tells me all the time I got there too early and she missed out on art or museum time. I hope your transition goes as well as my DD's did.

Happy Anniversary SadieDog!
Did he remember?

I'm hoping for the best for that decision, TK!

Thanks!

And in 11 days, I'll be on my way to Disney!

WOO HOO!!!!!!! :banana::banana::banana::banana:

Actually, that's what I'm thinking. I'm going to go, all happy to pick him up when I get out of work, and he's going to look at me and say, "I don't want to go right now." :lmao:

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

Did any of you have to deal with bad weather last night? We had major thunderstorms with several funnel clouds in the area. But thank goodness none of them touchd down.

Happy Friday. It's POURING here and poured last night.

My husband did forget it was our anniversary which is not a big deal. However I found it an interesting choice that after he realized it was our anniversary that he decided to leave. He left and went to jam night. Jam night takes place at a bar every Thursday. Anyone who enjoys playing an instrument can show up and jam. He doesn't get home until after midnight and get's up at 4:30am. Therefore he is a useless zombie on Fridays after jam night.

No daycare today b/c the lady took the day off to prepare for her daughters grad party she is having tomorrow. I do have to clean my brothers house though. I was there last night and what a MESS. Not looking forward to this.

None here. Nothing severe up north, either, but according to MIL it's been raining for days....! And it's not a nice warm summer rain, it's only been in the 60s where she is. BLAH!

Glad you all were ok last night! Severe weather at night is the worst....

:sad2:....I have no words......:grouphug:

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!!!!!
:yay:

Morning all! It is my day off and I'm getting ready to head to Starbucks then my hairdresser. If I show up without my coffee they tend to think something's wrong. I may try to stop and find a book to read while my color sets. I notice more and more grey in between colorings. Ugh.

I am also doing the countdown to vacation! I'm making magnets for the cruise door, trying to put together the "fish extender" gifts for those in the DIS cruise thread, and finding all the parts of our pirate costumes. I figure if I get that done this week, I can worry about clothes next week while DH is away on a business trip.

Well....*pfft*....yeah!! When is Mean Queen out and about and Starbucks is not involved??!:rotfl:

I got pretty wet walking down to my brothers and back. I'm not cleaning today since he is home b/c of the rain. So much to do it's hard to know where to start.

:rotfl2: Thanks for the nice thought. :rotfl2: The thought of me being pampered is amusing. That has never happened.

Too bad you didn't know before you walked there in the rain.

My brother and I ended up driving over 60 miles to visit our cousin in the hospital. We just got home and I have to leave in less than an hour for Senior Class Night. So much for getting anything done today. Riding makes me TIRED along with the stress from that hospital. This is only the 2nd time I have been in that hospital since my sister died there when I was a senior in high school. I HATE going to that hospital. I'm off to curl my daughters hair now.

I understand it being difficult for you to return to that hospital. But, I'm glad that you did go to see your cousin. I'm sure he/she was very happy for the company.

:grouphug: Hugs to your daughter from all of us for tonight!!!

He was very glad we came. He just had heart surgery yesterday and welcomed company visiting today. If he doesn't start eating right, stop smoking and exercising, Dr's said he would die within 2 years. They repaired the heart as much as possible. OK, now to focus on tonight! :yay:
