He was very glad we came. He just had heart surgery yesterday and welcomed company visiting today. If he doesn't start eating right, stop smoking and exercising, Dr's said he would die within 2 years. They repaired the heart as much as possible. OK, now to focus on tonight! :yay:

Yes, I agree with you. Focus on tonight.:banana::banana:

Well, the boards are going down tonight at 9pm.....phooey. I guess they figure most people actually have something better to do on a Friday evening!:rotfl:

So guess what wandered into our lives today......a kitten.:sad2: Just what I need right now! But I'm a complete sucker for a cat in need. I'm not actually 100% sure we'll be keeping her just yet. I've gotten about 4 different stories from 4 different kids on what her story is. But all I know right now is that the people who were supposed to be "watching" her today had her in a cage under their carport in the driveway. Out of the sun, but it's HOT here and just like people, the very old and the very young have a hard time dealing with these temps. So when another neighborhood kid brought her over here, DH brought her in the house. She perked up quick in the cool air, plus some water and a bite of food. We kept her in our bedroom/bathroom all day but she's out exploring the house now, much to the utter fascination of our two cats!! Should be an interesting night trying to sleep.....

It sounds like you've been adopted. One of my cats when I was a kid was our neighbors. It decided it liked us better and just kept coming back to our house rather than theirs. Let us know when it's time to think of cute Disney names (maybe Jack Jack the cat?)

Good Morning all! I have no clue why I got up so early on a Saturday. I generally try to sleep in a little. But I do have errands to run, so the minute I woke up, I couldn't think of anything else. Though the stores I want to run to aren't open this early. Tomorrow is my anniversary, so I have to get a card for DH. We bought our gifts for each other together yesterday. Video games. Very romantic. :rotfl2:

SadieDog - I hope your DD's big night went great. Tell us all about it.

Okay, I totally didn't get the last 2-3 pages. And I'm so tired, I don't feel like reading right now.

Rec Ball season is over for Big Ole Boy effective today. They were eliminated this morning in the playoffs.

I did the Disney online checkin today. I had only seen reports of how people were not able to use is that I figured I would be the same way. But first try I was through. Now all I have to do is wait through the next 9.5 days.

Wahoo!

At a movie, waiting for it to start. We had dinner at the Melting Pot. I'm so full I can barely stand it.

I am really, really, really, really pissed off this evening.....The "owners" of the kitten just came home. After almost 3 days. They didn't see anything wrong with what they had done and wondered why we had the cat!!!!!!! DH confronted them. He was firm but civil (I would have taken the lady's head off...). They just moved in and I guess it's her and a boyfriend and her little girl. I was really not in a position to take in another cat right now, but it absolutely KILLS me that we had to give back this sweet baby to TOTALLY CLUELESS PEOPLE. They have ZERO idea how to properly care for a kitten. If they are in the habit of taking off for the weekends, you can bet we'll be watching for exactly what they do with the cat, and if it ends up in a cage under the carport in 92+ degree weather with no provisions, we'll be calling the police (heck our next-door neighbor is a county sherrif!!!).

UGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stopped painting at 9:30pm. I am so tired. I woke up at 5:40 this morning. WAY TOO EARLY.

Last night Senior Class Night went fine. I enjoyed the beginning when they had a giant screen slide show. 1st they showed a baby picture then next the students senior picture. They did this for everyone. They also included sports/school activities photos and random shots of friends together thru the years. One picture I submitted was my daughter with a friend when they were only 3 years old. The rest of the night was awards and scholarships. She didn't receive any of those. To end the night, they opened their time capsul they put together when they were in 5th grade. In each students bag they put thing to represent themselves and a paper that told about themselves. My daughter only put a special rock she found on a camping trip in her bag.

So tomorrow is graduation at 2pm. I say it, but I don't believe it. Her class is small. Only 62 students.

LegoMom, how is the kitten doing?

The San Diego Wild Animal Park just offered me a job for the summer!

FANTASTIC

That is horrible! I would call if they leave that kitten in the cage again. 3 days in the heat with no food or water? Left to go in the same spot? Cats do not like to pee where they eat and/or sleep. People being mean to animals just make me mad.

We saw "The Hangover" tonight. Hilarious, crude, but really funny. I can't wait to see it again to see what I missed while laughing.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

See, congrats on the job! It sounds like fun.

LegoMom, I'm mega disgusted about the situation with the kitten. I totally understand how you feel. Ridiculous. :confused3

Mean Queen, and Creativeamanda, holy vacations, Batman! They're coming up fast. I can't wait. And they're not even my vacation. :lmao:

Sadiedog, I hate it when I wake up early like that. Although mine is usually due to a very lovely alarm clock that comes bounding into my room yelling, "MAMA!" :lmao:

Was it PaMom who was going away this weekend? I hope she's having a good time.

Whoever, I missed, I apologize. Just wanted to pop in and say hello.

Kimmar? Still being Kimmar? I hope so. ;)

And Smileybug! Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Graduation 2pm TODAY!!! :yay::eek: It's raining. I hope it stops long enough so we can take pictures outside. They come out so much better than indoors with a flash.
