Graduation took LESS than an hour! It went well even though it's raining. I am so tired from all this and working constantly on the house and I have to leave in 30 minutes. We meet at the high schol and board busses for project graduation. I don't know how I am going to stay up all night. In the past some chaperarones have curled up in a corner somewhere to take a little nap. That might be me. Staying awake all night is not my thing. I like my sleep.

Thanks! Yesterday was great. We shopped without kids, had dinner at the Melting Pot, and saw a really funny movie. Today, we had brunch at a really nice place then came home. We had great plans after that, but all those plans cost too much. So we sat around until the little one drove me so crazy I had to go grocery shopping. Which also cost a lot, but was a bit more necessary than a boat ride.

The San Diego Wild Animal Park just offered me a job for the summer!

Now that I'm back I can concentrate on finding a summer job. DD & I came back on Friday and this is the first chance I've had to Dis. More later. Maybe I'll do some pics.

Well, the boards are going down tonight at 9pm.....phooey. I guess they figure most people actually have something better to do on a Friday evening!


So guess what wandered into our lives today......a kitten. Just what I need right now! But I'm a complete sucker for a cat in need. I'm not actually 100% sure we'll be keeping her just yet. I've gotten about 4 different stories from 4 different kids on what her story is. But all I know right now is that the people who were supposed to be "watching" her today had her in a cage under their carport in the driveway. Out of the sun, but it's HOT here and just like people, the very old and the very young have a hard time dealing with these temps. So when another neighborhood kid brought her over here, DH brought her in the house. She perked up quick in the cool air, plus some water and a bite of food. We kept her in our bedroom/bathroom all day but she's out exploring the house now, much to the utter fascination of our two cats!! Should be an interesting night trying to sleep.....

Today is going to be full of all the usual Monday stuff. But the sun is shining!! The leaves on our Poplar trees have been turning yellow for a few weeks now. Anyone know why? I had my DD convinced that we were going into an early fall. But I really don't think that is the case. At least not with the 100 degree temps we have been having.

I'm debating whether or not we're going to do anything today. I really should take DS out to play, but I'm lacking energy and motivation.

We have been having rain lately. Its like the tropics of Fl. around here. We have been getting an afternoon rain shower/storm pretty much every day.

I wish I had some extra energy/motivation to give you. But I'm running on fumes myself.

I know the feeling of running on fumes. I just had a very long work week, and did a lot of baking / cooking / housework yesterday.

Maybe we'll go out and do some returns I need to get done and then he can play in the playscape at the mall.

All I need to do is find a summer job & I'll be better. A coworker works parttime for this place called Medstaffers. She told me about it before school let out and I started filling out the application, but, never finished. I'll be finishing it tonight or tomorrow.
