I really wish I was more crafty. I had dinner with my friends I'm going on the cruise with. One was making a fish extender (pocket for gift exchanges with other Dis'ers) for the other friend. She already made one for herself. They were so cute! I bought mine for the last cruise. Just not crafty enough. We went to a fabric store and I saw all these cute Disney fabrics. But I have no clue how to sew, so there's no way I can make cute little Disney dresses for my DD's. I'm just happy to be able to make those fleece pillows that you tie together. I am trying to make a ribbon bow barette with cute Disney ribbon. But again, I'm not really crafty... or motivated... so we'll see how that goes.

Sewing is really not that difficult. (I really mean that) Think of it as putting a puzzle together. And there are so many simple patterns for little girl dresses. Little summer dresses would be a great starting point. I used to make my DD's dresses. Once you start sewing its hard to stop.

Hey ya'll. Today is my DD's birthday. She is 20. My baby is 20.... (I don't want anyone to see me cry) She has been such joy. I have been priviledged to experience so many things with her. And I am so looking forward to what we have infront of us. We took her and her brothers to a nice resturant on the harbour for lunch and just spent the afternoon together. Its been a great day. Sunday is when we will actually celebrate her birthday.

I just saw this as I was a little behind on my reading.

I have tech rehearsal for my upcoming dance recital today. But before that, I have many errands to run to get ready for the week.

I wish I knew how to sew. I can knit, but not sew. That would be a great skill to learn.

I can sew if I'm forced to. My mom was a seamstress. I can crochet but can't knit. Knitting takes two hands, two needles which means uncoordinated me can't handle all of that. I have a tendency to trip over air.


This time tomorrow DD & I will be on our way to Cape May. The price came down since my friend isn't coming.

Hey guys! Seems like everyone is having a busy (or eventful) weekend! I'm throwing together an impromptu dinner for family tonight, my sister and her husband happen to be out visiting, so we'll be having everyone over. Sort of exciting and nerve-wracking all at the same time.

I've done the quick (ha ha) grocery run, and the marathon cleaning, and I think I'm ready for a good long bath. Fortunately, DS is sleeping, so that bath concept is not out of the realm of possibility.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday night. DS "graduates" from preschool tomorrow, so that should be a lot of fun. I have to remember to have DH charge the camcorder so I can use it, I think it'll be a great thing to have recorded.

That's so funny! I'm great at crocheting, and I can knit, but I'm not as good at it. I think people are either good or prefer one or the other, I've never met someone yet who likes both equally.

Now I'm defrosting chicken to do up on the grill! YUM-O!

Actually, it's not kindergarten. It's his three year old preschool class. He's actually four now, but he'll do one more year of preschool before he goes to kindergarten because of the way his birthday falls. Thanks for the congrats!
