How does anyone pay for school? Seriously, ridiculous :sad2:

Wow, I really appreciate you taking the time to tell me that. I think that deep down I just can't justify paying that much. You don't have to spend buckets of money for a good education. I just opened a school letter today and my second choice art school (just as equally expensive) is offering me a full years worth in scholarship money. I'm going to take the offer! I'll end up borrwoing a third as much because of this.

That's great news! :cheer2:

You are not alone, my daughter has to take out student loans too. Good luck.

...yup.

...my middle DS just graduated from Bergen Community College a few weeks ago (he got his Associates in Applied Sciences -

) and is continuing his education at William Paterson University...I've been putting off filling in his acceptance papers, since I don't know where the money will come for his tuition....:guilty:

:jumping1: CONGRATS to him!

My daughter is starting out at a community college too. LESS student loans.

PaMom, :grouphug: I hope you are feeling better. Sorry you were down.

Hey SadieDog. Are you feeling better?

Yes, thanks. I took my last pill Sunday night and it's so nice not to feel like you are going to puke every day.:thumbsup2

We have been very busy. Sunday we started working on the kitchen and hall area. We started in the morning and didn't stop til 9:30 at night. I was so tired and it work mode, it was hard to settle down. My kitchen is still a disaster. Stove, corner cabnet and boot trunk all in the middle of the kitchen. The contents of our counter tops are all over the house. We are getting ready to paint. The ceilings are done and the primer is on the walls.

Monday I was still tired from all the work the day before. I went to bed at 11pm and woke up at 2:30am and couldn't get back to sleep. Man I can't tell you how hard it was to crawl out of bed and face 12 kids on 3 1/2 hours of sleep. I had too much on my mind and couldn't let my brain relax. Between graduation, graduation party, trying to get work on the house done before my dear friend, her little sons and her mother-in-law get here on June 19th, I could not sleep. I was so looking forward to going to bed early last night but that didn't work out either. We were at Lowes in line to pay for some supplies when my husband had a little accident. He had 2 strips of metal that you put on corners of sheetrock laying on our cart. He rubbed up againts the metal and slit his shin open. LOTS of blood. His sock was soaked on one side. They have him stuff to bandage it up, we dropped our stuff off at home and headed for the hospital. He got 6 stitches and we didn't get home until midnight. It was so deep, you could see the muscle. Luckily it didn't hit the muscle. I am so looking forward to going to bed and hopefully sleeping well.

Oh my goodness you have a lot going on. Do you think you will have it all done in time? Your poor DH. What a freak accident. I really hope everything falls in place for you. I'm sure you are going to love your house when it is done.

How is your DD holding up? Is she getting excited about graduation?

You are going to have so much fun!

Thanks--with the help of Legomom, I have the title of my Trip Report--and will start it LIVE on my Blackberry on the evening of June 22!

I hope everyone has had a good day. :goodvibes

I think I need to make some room in my ticker for a countdown.

I need one of you with teenagers or older to assure me that I'll live through these years....:headache:

Please??!.....:scared:

.

LegoMom...I'm assuming you are talking about attitude and mouth right now. Wait until they throw in fast cars, big trucks, 4-wheelers, jet skies and boats. Now maybe ya'll have a better understanding as to why I'm like I am. :lmao::rotfl:

We will get what we can done. Both my kids are really worried how the house will look mostly b/c my friends mother-in-law is coming for the night. Then the rest of their families are coming the next day when they get their rental. They want the house looking decent for the graduation party. Our kitchen had lovely 70's wallpaper. We still have some plywood floors but can't do anything about that right now. It would take TOO MUCH $ for flooring. YIKES, I still have the bathroom to try to make look decent. It needs an exhaust fan and is a molding, peeling embarrassment.

I think it's really starting to hit her that it's almost over. Today she told me that tomorrow is her last day of English class. She looked almost surprised. Friday the Seniors take a beach trip and next week is finals. That's it!

I'm somehow making it through with a girl  so you can do it. You really can. ;) I'm not sure how I made it though some days, but here I am. :lmao: Lets see, about 8pm my son informed us that he has a book report due tomorrow and he needs a sailboat as a prop. I am exhausted and all I want to do is go to bed. I had to drive to our camp to look for a toy sail boat we used to have. Unfortunately it is no longer there. I brought home a small plastic boat and we are making it into a sail boat. Yes, we are helping with HIS book report. I just want it done so I can go to bed and I honestly don't care at this point that we are helping him make HIS prop. :headache:

OMG, my son's birthday is Sat and I've done nothing. :scared1: I've been thinking too much about this house and graduation.

And be thankful you don't have girls.

Good morning.

I've had to be at daycare for 7am the past 3 mornings so I I've felt a little rushed. It doesn't help that we only have 1 bathroom.

Have a good day. :)

Good morning ya'll. :goodvibes

SadieDog, hope you feel rested today.
