TRIP REPORT CONTINUES
We made our way toward Soarin'. The wait said 25 minutes, so we jumped in line. We got lucky because a CM came by looking for a party of 3. We jumped up and down and ran to the front of the line. Once we were done there, we headed to Test Track. We grabbed a FP but then saw the sign change from a 40-minute wait to a 20 minute wait. We got on the ride, then jumped right back on again with our fast passes.
Now, it was time for food. We decided to start left near Mexico. We began with our favorite of the day... the beef on a skewer with chimichurri sauce. Yum! It was just a food fest (thus the name) after that. We did skip some foods we wanted because soup in god awful heat just doesn't make sense. We downed lots of expensive water to keep hydrated.
After making our way around the entire World Showcase, we got our shop on at Mousegears. Though I didn't buy anything, I really enjoy being able to shop without kids around. It was around 5 and my friends didn't want to stay for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
They considered going back to their room at Treehouse Villas, but I said I really wanted to continue the kid-free day. I suggested we head to the Poly for dinner at Kona Cafe. When we got there, it was packed. But they said we could order from the Kona menu at the sushi bar. So we ate sushi and the sticky wings from the Kona menu. Yummy! It was a great day of food stuff. For dessert, I had a Lapu Lapu.
We made our way back to our separate hotels with the idea of meeting back up for games, but when we got back we were all too tired. Overall, it was a great mommy's day out.
