I buckled down this weekend and finally decided on a a format for our DIY invites... sorry in advance for the crappy phone pics

This will be the body of the invite...they will be "landscape" style with a folder/ pocket at the bottom for the other info...the main part is a Kraft type color card stock (I thought it brought in a natural element for our tropical feel), Next layer is a metallic light aqua, next is a grey patterned cardstock, next layer is a metallic bright coral, and last but not least the white layer will have all the info printed on them...

I was playing around in photo shop and came up with this...this is not the final wording or layout...One thing I am sure of is the graphic...it's a Hawaiian quilt design...even if people are unfamiliar with the symbolism behind it, it's still pretty to look at ^_^

Something my hunnybunny surprised me with last night while cooking dinner...boy am I lucky

Bec~ You really should...They are gorgeous and a unique touch...i must say that they are a tad flimsy...I really do hope it stands up to the weight of the dress, even if its just long enough for a few pictures ^_^

Pixie~DF got me both ^_^ I didn't include that one since it had our last name on it...I love them both!!! I'm hoping to attempt to make some for my girls. It's on my DIY "to do" wish list.

Tinkerbell~ good catch...hahahaha...It was late at night and its just a mock up. I'm pretty sure it will evolve from this point...a local paper store had a coupon that expired Tuesday so I had to rush together a format so I could buy the paper on sale...I got away with making my own pocket folds for the invites for around .30 cents each! What a steal considering that I have not seen pocket folds for less than 1.50 and up a piece! Happy dance for saving $$$

Hey All! I've been MIA for a while...We've been so busy with life and of course wedding planning....so much has gone on and things are definitely coming together. We got back from our planning session a week ago and have already recieved our BEO! so excited...We definitely need to do some trimming .... updates, pics and TR coming soon....Just wanted to wish everyone Happy New Years and Happy Holidays!!!

Aloha everyone...OMIGOODNESS!!! It has been a crazy few weeks, wedding planning has really started to pick up and time is flying by!!! Here's a few sneak peeks as promised...

our toasting flutes...very simple and chic...I love them!!!

oh yes...they taste as good as they look...my mommy was kind enough to make a few mock-ups of the treats she will be making us for the guest bags...

Awww!! thank you do much for the compliments. DF and I have very simple taste and it suits us perfect! I can actually picture us using this after the ceremony.

OK, OK, OK...i have to admit it...i have a confession to make...I eloped!!! Last week DF surprised me with a trip to Hawaii! We both dreamed of being married there but went for Disney for our families (we're both only children). On January 15th he made my dreams come true...I feel so blessed...He had everything set up...we left on Thurs. 1/13, I was thinking that this was all for our 3 yr anniversary and our birthdays... then on Friday he surprised me by taking me to fill out or marriage license! We were married on Saturday by an ancient Hawaiian heiau (temple) directly in front of sacred healing pools right on the beach...he had purchased a dress for me (something new), luckily I had something old and blue (earrings from my grandmother) and something borrowed (brooch from my MOH and BF)...I'll post pics soon...I had to burst and tell someone...My mother doesn't even know yet...! If you're familiar with my PJ you'll understand why...I just don't want anyone...aka: my family thinking that our Disney wedding will mean any less...my family is super old school and traditional. Anyhoo... it was perfect though...I'm still on cloud nine. Just when i thought i couldn't love him anymore... I'll post pics from that as soon as upload them. In the meantime...here's some pics of stuff that we do have done for April...

Here are the girls clothes...the Grey dress on the upper left and is convertible, they will be accented by gold brooches wherever they would like to wear them, this is what the Bridesmaids will be wearing along with the gold shoes on the lower right. The coral dress above the gold shoes will be for my 2 flower girls. the other Grey dress on the lower left is for my junior BM.

Hi all! Thanks for checking in on my PJ...so here's a few pics as promised...unfortunately, I was an emotional nut job during the ceremony so I'm ugly crying in the few pics I have... these are they few that were "decent" to share...It was truly more than I could have ever dreamed of...I'm still floating from all of this but now it's been down to business...the Disney wedding! 2 months out and the to-do list is still miles long...we're finishing up our invites and having people rsvp by email...i wish there were 5 of me!

so here is the ceremony location...makes me smile whenever i see it...absolutely beyond beautiful

This is me after doing the deed...cheesing from ear to ear and super giddy!!! As you can see I'm still misty eyed!
