*t&j pj* ~ 4/10/11 wp/adh/uk*We're spotlighted on DisneyWeddingBlog!

Thanks all for the dress compliments! The train actually has the same flower details as on the bodice. I can't wait to see what it looks like when I can actually get into it ^_^ The workouts are going to have to be better now...

Has anyone rented points from a DVC member? I'm wondering how it works...We are not currently DVC members so I'm pretty clueless as to how the whole process works:scared1:. I'm wondering if this would be a more economical way to stay in Disney for our PS and wedding week...Any input would be great! Thanks in advance all!!!

Try looking here - http://www.dvcrequest.com/

I think they're a little bit more expensive then others, but you know that they're legit and have been doing it for years.

We looked into it too, but instead of finding it more economical, we found it was just a way to stay at a delux resort for the price of a moderate. If price is all you're looking at you're better off staying at a value. We ended up going with POR, because it appealed to me more then any of the DVC resorts.

BecBennett, Thanks you so much for the info:worship:...We wanted a room with more room that includes a fridge and microwave. We need something bigger to accommodate the wedding traffic in and out of our room...I will definitely be checking the link out!

Thanks for the dress feedback girls :goodvibes. I have another appointment today after work...Wish me well!

Dolly~Thanks for all those links it's so easy to get lost in these forums and forget where you saw thing that might be useful...:confused3...Me and Google are best friends...I have found tropical and vintage inspired weddings but nothing really with the combination of both. I'm determined to make this all work though ;) BTW I love love LOVE your work...You are awesome:thumbsup2! I would love to have some work done by you if time allows...I read a few of your posts and saw your son plays for the Longhorns...i had to tell my DF who is originally from Austin and a HUUUGE Longhorns fan! He was beyond excited ^_^ ! The flag actually just went up in our window (we have a new neighbor who is a Oklahoma fan). We make a longhorns pumpkin every year and he even was trying to push burnt orange as one of our wedding colors:cutie:

Have a great day ladies!

I'm glad I could help...and my UT son got an interception last week. So exciting! Our other son actually played for OU...but transfered. The year they were at both schools, we went to the OU vs. UT game and had to wear black and white and root for the refs. What a fun game to go to though! I think the most fun game of the year.

Back to more important stuff...ahhhh weddings! If I can make a custom design for your wedding somewhere down the road send me a pm. Burnt orange is good for a tropical vintage wedding color. :-)

This is a little late but omg looove that dress! Gorgeous!

bambi0921~Mahalo nui Loa (thank you very much) for the dress compliment...I will be making some tweaks when it comes in but i am super excited...I have to say that was the worst part of this whole process :) Now...Let the fun stuff begin!!!

jtanddolly~Trust me...whenever we can get the Longhorns on TV all the way here in Seattle we are watching them...We saw that interception...it was AWESOME! DF was going nuts!!! I'm actually surprised the neighbors didn't freak out :goodvibes...unfortunately we also saw last weeks game...what a bummer. Needless to say DF needed some cheering up after that and we both drowned our sorrows in some delicious Coldstone ice cream. But hey...the flag is still proudly in our window awaiting the Red River Shootout! It's about to get wild! I'll be praying all week this game is better than the last for DF's sake...lol:cheer2: My next mission will be to find DF some snazzy cuff-links or maybe design a pocket square with hidden Bevos instead of Hidden Mickeys :lmao:or...find some cute Longhorn boxers for wedding night...;)Anyhoo... I will def PM you once I get all of these ideas swimming in my head in order...so the theme so far...picture vintage Hawaiian postcards/ travel posters with Hawaiian quilt designs as our logo/ graphics...a little too out there? would love to hear what you think, seeing as you are the design guru and all ;)

On my first go around with all this planning (we are in round 2, scrapped everything and am starting again!) we had Diane! She was very sweet, responded really quickly with emails and if not, her assistant Alix did! I am hoping to get her back when we sign our LOA again!

Princess85~ we had Diane Mahoney-Brown for our wedding consultant and were just assigned Diane Bowen for our actual planner. Wow! These ladies do it all! :)...thanks for the feedback1 I look forward to actually getting to speak with her. She called and left a message on Friday while I was at work. if you don't mind me asking...why did you scrap your theme?

Well we postponed the wedding for money reasons, I really didn't want to go into debt for the wedding so we pushed it back a couple months. When I had first signed the LOA my ceremony was at SBP and my reception was at GF. Which is about 12 miles away so we would then have to rent a whole wack of transportation...And I didn't want to spend almost $1400 on limos and minibuses for the day. I didn't do my research on everything before hand and its not really the planners job to make you spend less money haha. So we swapped locations and off we go again! Its now all within the BW so we get to spend all that extra money on a DP!

Princess85~ Great decision, I would have done the same thing! Hope your planning is going well :)

The AP vouchers are so exciting! I get mine out and look at them every once in a while :lmao:

AAAAARGH! OK...so I just need to vent. I got into it with my mom yesterday...over ribbon wands!!! I initially sent her a pic just so that she would know what they were. She liked the idea and graciously volunteered to take care of them for me. Apparently she made a few stops around town to scope out supplies and such, she even assembled a few samples. So yesterday i sent her a pic of how I wanted them done. She basically went into a rant about how i cant keep changing my mind when i see something cute...etc...I explained this is how i initially wanted them and that the first pic i sent was just to show her what they were. To make a long story short she began to lay the guilt trip on thick. Basically saying don't shut her out and sorry she thought she was being helpful. She's always griping and stressed out about anything to do with the wedding. I explained that i want very much for her to be part of this but i rather have her happy and do nothing than stressed out and upset. I've said this repeatedly to her via email and text (I live in WA She lives in FL). I'm fed up and stressed out enough as it is. This is our one chance to have things exactly as we want them on our one special day. It's not just ribbon wands...it's always something, this isn't the first time. I try to keep her in the loop by sharing my ideas and keeping her informed but she always has a comment or something to say about everything. It's to the point I'm ready to just elope and maybe just have the Disney portion be a vow renewal and big party. I never wanted all of this and initially pictured something small and intimate on a beach somewhere. We decided to do this for our parents namely our moms, and family. I want to be happy and have my first day as a Mrs. be filled with joy. this is supposed to be a happy time for everyone. I'm contemplating eloping...prior to the wedding something with just DF and I...partly to take some of the pressure off and partly just so i can be in the moment of getting married...opinions? Is this wrong...I'm so confused right now. I would love any help or advice...:sad1:

I'm sorry :( Family can be so difficult! It's also hard because you aren't near her to always explain what you want or to help assemble. Although it's more work for me... I realized early on that I was going to have to almost shut my family completely out of planning and just tell them where to show up. We weren't even engaged yet when all of the drama started. The reason we're not eloping is because we want our families to come with us to our favorite place, and share our favorite things with us. Unfortunatley both sides are out of control and we're going to have to just do everything and tell them it's a surprise what everything will look like :) Hopefully your stress goes away and things work out with your mom. :cutie:

I just started reading and I can't wait to hear more. I'm sorry that you've been having trouble with your mom/families. I keep thinking about this too, I don't want to be stressed out when I should be on :cloud9:. I think Luv has an awesome idea about just telling everyone you want to surprise them! Just try not to overwhelm yourself in the process and do what you and for FI want because after all this is a celebration of you 2.

If it were up to me I'd book the first flight to Vegas and pocket all the cash I'm paying for this wedding. But then my mother would never ever speak to me again! I'm in the same predicament that you are. I've learned that some decisions don't need her imput because whether we are having the big wedding for our family or not, its still our day. And to top it off, she wants us to get married in North Dakota. In the winter. You are never going to completely please you mother because as I have found with not only her but everyone else, DFTW are so over the top and most people only dream of a wedding like this! Enjoy the planning, share with her what you need to but make it all about you guys. In the end, she's going to love it regardless of the ribbon wands! ;)
