*t&j pj* ~ 4/10/11 wp/adh/uk*We're spotlighted on DisneyWeddingBlog!

Awesome PJ girl! Your ceremony location is lovely makes we want to go to the beach :) I can't wait to hear of more of your plans for your Disney wedding :goodvibes

Holy Crap!! :scared1: That's huge news! I can't believe I missed it!

You looked beautiful! And that location is to die for! You really got the best of both Worlds!

Congratulations!! :yay:

Awww! Thanks everyone...I really do feel beyond blessed! I've been so swamped these past few weeks getting ready for the Disney wedding (whittling down BEOs and Floral estimates) :lmao: also a bit stressed and trying to figure out a good way to break these news of being a Mrs to mommy O_O ...Invites are finally done and have been mailed out! phew!!! They were definitely a labor of love, but the end product was well worth it...I'll post pics soon! :goodvibes

Latest project I was able to check off! YESSSS!!! These were definitely a labor of love. I have done friends and families invites before so it was super important to me that our invites set the feel for our wedding and also said a little something about our aesthetic. I'm so excited at how they turned out. sorry for the craptastic phone pics...we custom designed the print on the coral cardstock and we are using the kukui hawaiian quilt design will be used throughout the ceremony and reception. It not only represents the culture but its a bold graphic design that i think people will appreciate even if they are not familiar with it...Would love to hear what you guys think ^_^

The invite itself out of the envelope...everything was DIY-d. even the folders...the envelopes were also lined with the same printed coral paper...

Thanks everyone! Now I just hope everything else turns out as good as the invites:goodvibes... we found out aisle runner...actually just a bolt of material at jo-anns YAY for 40% off!!! I'm going to work on a logo or monogram soon... I bought the bags for our welcome bags a while back..they are a type of nylon material...any suggestions on how to customize these...I'm afraid an iron might melt them. it's almost like a laundry bag or tracksuit material but heavier.

Fabulous invites!!! Did you print them yourself? Do you mind if you ask what font you used? I :lovestruc it!

Hello Mindjoy! I am quite the graphic art / font nut too. I used 3 fonts in the invite. Riotsquad, Affair, and Cider Script. :goodvibes

Absolutely magnificent invites! They are just darling and super sparkly which I love. We used shimmer envelopes for ours as well. They turned really well your guests will love them!

Bickimook2- Thanks! I love all of your DIY projects as well!

OK...so update...The email RSVP are rolling in...I highly recommend having people RSVP this way...it's been a breeze and if we or they have any question the responses are quick! So it looks like we're going over our estimated guest count...I guess more people are making it than expected:headache:...LOL!
Now we have to whittle down our budget even more by the 24th. We're thinking of cutting all personal floral and possibly DIY-ing them...or maybe going through an outside florist...any other suggestions?

The ceremony location is breathtaking! I would really love to see it live some day! And your invitations look fantastic. You did an amazing job and they really go with your entire theme - love them!

33 DAYS LEFT! :yay:

:goodvibes OKAY... now that i've got that off my chest...I've been a bad and not keeping up on my PJ...This have been CRAZY. but I do have a few updates I can share with my fellow DISBrides...

Update 1...First dress fitting
I went for my first dress fitting last Friday, I have been soo nervous that I would not fit into it (I ordered a size smaller since i was "planning" on losing weight) Good news...IT FIT! Bad news....they ordered the wrong size O_O...i'm a month out and i have no idea if they will be able to get the correct smaller size in...I go in today to meet with the owner and finsh up soem alterations I'll keep you ladies posted...The larger size is a tad big needs to be taken in...I'm guessing if it was the smaller size it would have been perfect.

Update 2...We got our DJ
I just recieved an email from our DJ...We got Scott Messina! I am soo excited! I've heard alot of great things about him on these boards...We are deffinitely party people...

Update 3...Wedding shower!
Sunday my girls threw us a wedding shower...It was great! All of my relatives that are unable to attend our wedding in Orlando were able to celebrate with us...I'll post pics soon!

Update 4...Final payment is due on the 11th
WE emailed our planner and her assistant about a week ago regarding our higher guest count and a few general questions...we're still waiting to hear from someone. Times closing in I would hate for them to contact us on the 10th then request payment without us being able to review everything :(

There's still tons of thing on our to do list...
suit alterations for the groom and some of his guys...
programs (reception and ceremony)...
welcome bag stuff (sew kits, ouch pouch, info packets, door hangers)...
escort cards....
guest book...
i still need accessories...
i planned on blinging the heels a bit...
DIY pocket squares...
hankies for the moms and grandmoms...
and oh yah...first dance...

I am also surprising my hubby with a hula. Although I have bee dancing for years He has never seen me a dance. This is a little nerve racking considering It's been about 2 years since i have danced. I'm struggling to find time to practice between wedding stuff and having him around all the time!

I chose a hawaiian song by Keali'i Reichel called E pili mai

`Auhea wale ana `oe Where are you
Ku`u lei o ka pô My sweetheart of the night
Pô anu ho`okahi nô au The night is cold and I am alone
Sweetheart mine Sweetheart mine
E pili mai Come to me

Inâ `o `oe a `o au If you and I are together
`Ike i ke ahi o Makana We'll know the fires of Makana
He makana ia na ke aloha It would be a gift given of love
No nâ kau a kau For all time
`O `oe a`o au You and I
Sweetheart mine Sweetheart mine
E pili mai Come to me

This song is very special to me...in hawaiian songs there is always a deeper meaning than just the literal meaning of the words...to sum it up, its about 2 people finding their way to each other and then proclaiming there everlasting love. I love it...and keali'i has an amazing voice.
