Can you do both on the same night? I'm confused o_O, I have been to Fantasmic but I saw that Symphony in the Stars has been extended thru April and like to do this too even though I really don't completely know what it is other than a dessert party!! Any information be appreciated!!

It's doable. If Fantasmic is at 8:30 for 30 minutes, the Star Wars Fireworks don't start until 9:15 (the times vary depending on your actual date). My plan is to skip Fantasmic and secure a great spot for the fireworks.

Symphony in the Sky is a fireworks show that is probably Disney's best!

You may pay extra for a Dessert party just like the Wishes Dessert party but completely uneccessary to enjoy the show.

If I had to pick one it would be the fireworks, they are amazing and for now shot within the park so they are so close you really feel them.

We prefer nights when Fantasmic is performed twice so that we can attend the fireworks and then the 2nd showing of F! It's much less crowded and easier to move from the fireworks viewing areas to the amphitheater than vice versa. Also, leaving the park is less hectic as most guests hit the road after the fireworks.

One more thing: Lines for the headline attractions are the shortest of the day while most guests are attending the early Fantasmic and/or waiting for the fireworks, in case you have kids that want to hit some rides a few more times.

I called Disney but the CM didn't see it yet offered for April, I read on wdwmagic that it had extended thru April so I will be checking. I really would love to watch Fantasmic and do the Galactic Dessert Party but its not looking promising time wise to do both.

Both the same night.

Did them three different nights within the last 3 weeks.

on mydisneyexperience the dessert party can only be booked up until 3/19.
So if we have the Fantasmic dining package and great seating at Fantasmic we should have no problem getting to the fireworks in time?
where exactly would you go to have a great view of the fireworks inside the park? thanks

I think only the fireworks have been extended. I don't think there is any word about the dessert party extending past 3/19.

I have heard the same that you can do both. Although with the SW fireworks you'd likely not get as good of a 'seat' if you're coming from Fantasmic since some folks have camped out while you were watching the other show.

How long did you have between? My dates have the same 8:30 / 9:15 setup which seems tight with the herd leaving F! And a 6 year old.

We did both last June. During SWW, no less.

It's fairly easy to get a lot done in the evening during Star Wars Weekends. The Star Wars fans arrive at the park pretty early and at wore out by dark. They just want to see the fireworks and hit the road.

Last June in just about 2 hours we were able to ride Toy Story 3 times and Tower of Terror 4 times, plus fireworks and Fantasmic. RnR was down that evening.

Robo, what's the best way to exit to see the fireworks after Fantasmic!? I've seen people recommending taking the left exit, but is that if you're facing the "stage," or with your back to it? (I'm directionally challenged!)

Oddly enough, the shortest line we encountered that day was for Star Tours :)

Audience-right, facing the stage. (South end of the seating area.)

 We're finally going back to WDW as a family mid-April:goodvibes.
DD's a teacher and that's her Spring Break.
Please tell me that the Symphony in the Stars fire works are extended thru April:worship:
Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

:thanks:

There will be some kind of Star Wars fireworks running well into the summer (and likely beyond) at DHS.

Disney Parks Blog said:
April 4, the debut of the brand new Star Warsstage show, “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away.” The new show will play out iconic moments from the film saga on Center Stage (in front of the Chinese Theater), and will feature appearances from Star Wars characters like Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Darth Maul.

Also starting April 4, Captain Phasma will begin leading a platoon of First Order stormtroopers on a march from Star Wars Launch Bay to Center Stage multiple times each day.

And starting this summer, fans won’t want to miss the grand debut of a new Star Wars fireworks show, “Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.”

The current scheduling has the 30 minute gap.

On Monday, I watched from the Echo Lake area and the two people who came and sat beside me had made their way from Fantasmic. They made it to Echo Lake in 15 minutes or less as we chatted for quite a few minutes before the fireworks began.

Exit Fant's amphitheater using the directions Robo has posted above.
