we are going 03/31-4/8 of next year. is it possible that it will be warm enough to use the pools?

Sure. Most likely will be warm enough at least some days. Jan and feb are really the only cold months. And even then one water park will be open many days.

Of course there is no way to predict the weather that far in advance. And it is personal presence on how warm you want it to be to swim.

We are from New Hampshire and have taken vacations at the end of Feb. We always have gone swimming with lots of other people too. It's a rare day when no one is in the pool. They are heated to 82. If you are from the south, then it might be too cold for you.

Yes. It was warm enough to swim when we were there for Thanksgiving and Christmas last year. The evenings may be cooler, but daytime should be fine for swimming.

FWIW, the last 2 Christmas's have been unusually warm (mostly high 80, low 60) when the average is more like 70/50

..and it's not too unusual to have highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's (I even had lows in the 30's before Thanksgiving one year, at least the Christmas decor felt appropriate!)

But by April 1, it should be 80's, but you might get a few cooler days.

Oh my God, yes. Unless you are from the equator, Florida is plenty hot in the first week of April.

Here is the data for the first week of April, 2016:
Max Temperature 88 °F
Average High 83 °F

And for 2015:
Max Temperature 90 °F
Average High 86 °F

From Massachusetts so we should be okay .....thank you.

We went early February 2014. Highs near 80, no humidity. We swam in the resort pool because it was heated but it was a bit chilly with the wind blowing when we got out. Being in the pool was fine though. I'd say April would be fine in Florida.

in FL you can go swimming all year long ( ok at lest in the south part ) but I think I have heard the pools are heated

YES!!! We are from a warm climate and we found it to be hot and did plenty of swimming in our early April trip last year

The pools are heated. Last Nov we swam in the evening when the temps were in the 50s. The water was glorious but the lifeguard thought we were crazy.

Years ago we rented a house in the area and stayed for the month of March, it was in the 80's almost every afternoon and we spent many days at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. If the afternoon temps are in the 80's it's much warmer in the sun and I'm basically chicken I like it to be hot when I swim. Since the pools are heated you'll have more than ample opportunity to go in the pool.
