Sweet Tea Question

OK, I feel so sad for all of my Yankee Dis friends. Until recently I didn't know people drank unsweet tea. lol To me that is like eating raw chicken. IF your tea is not sweet then it has not be made correctly. I always laugh at my friends in the north when I am on the phone with them and hear them ordering sweet tea. To me this is like asking for cold ice. Here is SC you only need ask for iced tea unless you have a cold and are looking for that English mistake on tea. This would be the only time tea should come unsweetened. When it is served hot with lots of huney and a little bourbon

Here is how we make tea

7 small tea bags (I like Lipton) for a gallon

boil water in a pot- turn burner off
put tea bags in the water and let sit 20-30 minutes
In your tea pitcher fill it up about 1/4 with hot water
Put in 2 cups of sugar so it will melt
Once the tea bags are ready pour into the sugar water and refrigerate

Are you sure this is enough sugar? lol I would also serve it with a little lemon, but that is just me.

You know, the truth of it is, we Southerners make sweet tea by just dipping our sweet lil' ol' pinkies into the tea but ya'll can't do that so we tell you to use sugar.

If you live in PA, NJ or DE , Wawa sells their own brand of sweet tea now. It's great!

Also Turkey Hill makes a good one that they sell in most supermarkets.
