Swan vs Poly

We are going Dec 6-13. Currently booked at Swan with AP rate. Waiting on Disney to release AP rates for that time.

This is a family reunion and want it to be nice. If you had your choice, which resort would you stay in and why? (Going with 3 kids under 4)

Also, what is the best rate anyone has received at Poly for that time.

If you are spending most of your time in the MK, then the Poly might be a better location. But the Swan is a great location for Epcot and MGM.

I don't think you'll get a better rate than you've gotten at the Swan with the new AP rates. The best you could realistically expect for Poly with AP rate would be around $175-200/ night for GV. People have occaissionally gotten better rates but those have usually involved special situations such as a relocation when another resort was closed for rehab.

At $139/night for the Swan I wouldn't hesitate to stay there with my family.

We just stayed at the Dolphin with our 3 yo and 1 yo. It was wonderful. If money was no object, I would be tempted to stay at the Poly since it's on the monorail line. But in our case, money was a deciding factor. For me Swan/Dolphin offers deluxe accomodations at moderate rates.

The Swan is so close to Epcot, MGM, Boardwalk. It also is the first stop on the bus line for that route, and the bus ride to MK isn't bad at all. The staff is wonderful and very accomodating. You will be able to do all sorts of special things with the money you save by not staying at the Poly.

Stay at the Poly - it's way better. Swan is nice, but not as nice as the Poly. Being on the monorail is great.
