Great weigh-in Brandie!
I didn't lose any weight. Yesterday at the shower I ate potato salad, shrimp dip with pieces of a bread bowl and a LOT of assorted snack foods  then I came home and had a beer. Too many carbs. ;) But Yummy.

Where is everyone today?

I'm still at work. And no end in sight.

Speaking of thunderstorms, we were out driving yesterday when yet another line of strong storms passed through NE Ohio. It was raining so hard that most people were going well below the speed limit with their emergeny flashers on. I am not most people. We were in the high speed lane of a 6-lane highway when I saw a couple cars in front of me hit some VERY deep water in a dip in the road. I dropped my foot off the accelerator and hung on. We hit the puddle at 60MPH and in a matter of a couple of seconds, we were going 20MPH. The wall of water that I threw made it feel as though we had driven into a deep body of water. As soon as the plume of water cleared, I hit the gas. I figured that, with my luck, some other lunatic would rear end me. Fortunately, that did not happen.

The good news is that I don't need to take the car to the car wash. :teeth:

Good evening everyone. Where is everyone? Still decorating your rooms? :)

Hi MS

Debbie???????? YOU GET BACK IN THIS HOUSE RIGHT NOW YOUNG LADY!!!!! (and check your PMs) :)

Went to see SeaBiscuit last night with DD and a couple of her friends and their moms...it was a spur-of-the-moment mother/daughter evening. We enjoyed the movie and the company :) One of them is having a mother/daughter MaryKay party in a couple of weeks that we ended up committing to  I still remember my first MAryKay party about 20 years ago.........I do not wear much makeup at all, and when I put on all the "stuff" a couple of women that I worked with said "WOW...you look really GOOD with makeup on!" I took that as what my mom called a "back-handed" compliment...do I look like crap most of the time without much makeup? LOL :teeth:

Good morning everyone!

My whole post was just erased because of too many smilies  I don't have time to do it again....be back later

morning

I do not wear much makeup at all, and when I put on all the "stuff" a couple of women that I worked with said "WOW...you look really GOOD with makeup on!" I took that as what my mom called a "back-handed" compliment...do I look like crap most of the time without much makeup?
hehe...i know what you mean. when i worked at the front desk for a hotel, there was this guy that came in daily for dry cleaning pick ups and drop offs. one day, he told me that i looked "really smart" with my glasses...it left me wondering, so do i look really dumb without my glasses on a normal basis? ;)

oooooh...i love mary kay!!! i got hooked on the products just a few years ago. but when i got my divorce, mary kay became an expensive habit to keep up, so i went back to the drug store brands. but my face pretty much rejected them. the only brand i could wear was almay. but now, i've found a mary kay rep locally and i've begun rebuilding my supplies!! my skin thanks me for daily for using the timewise cleanser and moisturizer along with the timewise powder foundation...now to re-establish my eye shadow/liner/mascara collection and i'll be all set!!

i just stubbed the holy crap out of my big toe!!!! it really hurts...it's bleeding under the nail too. i've never done that before...don't you feel sorry for me? :(

OUCH! I hate when that happens. When I was home from work one day I ran to answer the phone and had an unfortunate meeting with a bar stool in my kitchen. Good thing it was my Mommy on the phone - I got to tell her all about it. Turned out it was broken in 2 places!

More cheesecake anyone? How about hazelnut flavored?

so I must look like crap too.....Well my daughter in law gave me a beautiful case with the stuff for my hands in it...first you put this sticky goop on them and rub it good ...then you put on some sand stuff....well it feels gritty like sand.....then you put on something else and rub it in....or is that the number two step....well anyways ..the last step is when you put your hands under water and rinse them off and I actually sounded like that stupid commercial of the girl coloring her hair or shampooring it in the bathroom on a plane......it was that gooooooooooooooood.......then I put on the stuff to make me nice and soft.........oh yah this is mary kay too....maybe I should not get my cheap avon stuff and try the face stuff from mary kay too.....and make me look like a babysitter with stuff on her face........

PUMBA!! You make me ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth:

ahutton.....YOU make me HUNGRY!!!!!!!! :) ;)

yep pumba! that's mary kay satin hands!!! it's awesome, isn't it? extra moisturizer goopy stuff...then you buffer with the gritty stuff...then you cleanse with the soapy stuff...and then you rinse...and then you use the lotion. i LOVE satin hands and i also love the satin lips stuff. mary kay does wonders for my skin!! i will never again deny myself their products!!! oh yeah...and the instant action or triple action stuff is great too. they have this stuff for your eyes...it helps to deflect the light or something like that and it minimizes the dark circles under your eyes. and if you put it on your eyelids, it helps to keep your eye shadow from creasing. and the triple action lip stuff helps to minimize the fine lines around your lips as well as helps to keep your lipstick in place. have i mentioned how much i love mary kay? ;)

This is my first free minute today since I was here this morning!!

well all this make-up talk is making me feel naked....you know....no make up naked :teeth:

I went to a MaryKAy party years ago....it was fun. I went to a naughty nightie party years ago too...it was FUNer ;) OOPS...I got off topic....back to MaryKay....it was waaaay back in my 20's.....the nightie party I was in my 20's too...OOPS...off topic again......so sorry.....anyway we all sat around a table...no make up on and all our hair all pulled back and we all put that mask stuff on........wish I had a picture....it was hilarious....of course the nightie party was hilarious too :teeth:

I hope I didn't use too many smilies....I'll get deleted again

just to make sure there's no misunderstanding in my above post.......by "20's"....I meant my 20's NOT the 1920's.....I'm not THAT old .....yet :teeth:

good morning
another nice one today

maybe i should find me someone who sells that MaryKay stuff....I could use some satin hands.......and feet too

Have a good day everyone :)

I think that my daughter in law mentioned that they do have stuff for feet too......but I am going to try this stuff (satin hands) on my cute little toe toes.....see if it feels as good....only thing I am wondering is how to get my foot over the sink and under the water....hmmmmm...things we do to be nice and soft........OH YAH.....my daughter in law also got me that stuff for the lips too......I do love my daughter in law......she is a sweetie.....
hope you all have a Satin hand soft day.....;)

Too funny Mrs Milo...I was just thinking last night..."eeeww my feet are GROSS this summer!" Not sure why...maybe the joys of aging yet again...even seem to be getting a toe nail fungus or sumpin'...never mind...TMI LOL

only thing I am wondering is how to get my foot over the sink and under the water....
Pumba dear, that's what they make BATH TUBS for......they do have those in Maine, right? :teeth: ;) :teeth: ;)

...and naked nad strikes again! LOL

have a good one.............

i use the satin hands stuff on my feet! i even do DH's feet!! his feet have been through hell and back when he was a kid...broken...burnt...you name it, it happened! so his feet are excessively dry all the time. i'll sit down in front of him and just use a warm washcloth to "rinse" the stuff from his feet. i also use the stuff when i'm taking a shower. i'll start the shower, sit on the ledge and do the treatment while i wait for the water to warm up. then i use the lotion after i'm done in the shower! i've also heard this stuff is great if you have the dry elbow thing going on...debbie...go to www.marykay.com and find a consultant in your area! you can order it all online and the person will contact you for delivery. my mary kay lady comes in to my office building every once in a while...but i do most of my ordering via e-mail and she mails it to me.

btw, good morning!

my sister is getting so excited! she's finally moving to kansas city to be with her new hubby!! he was actually admitted into the hospital the other day...he was having some chest pains. turns out, he's ok...but they have diagnosed him with gurd. so they've put him on medication for it. he tends to eat a big meal and then go right to bed. that's what's doing it!! he has no choice though sometimes as to when he eats due to his hours. he's on call at the hospital a lot...sis was having some problems with the fact that she wasn't with him there...but he flies here tomorrow night and then they'll load up the truck and move out on friday. :(

she is getting extremely excited about our trip next year though! even though she gives me such a rough time over being WDW obsessive, she's getting into the planning. we chat online daily and we always discuss the trip. i've got her to the menus and she's gone through a few of those and mentioned some places she wants to try...and stuff they would like to do...we've pretty much agreed on everything so far. the only thing we disagree on is character breakfasts. she's not a big breakfast kind of gal..so if DH and i want any character breakfasts, we'll be doing them alone. which is fine...and actually, the only reason we would do one on this trip is if his son is with us. otherwise, we've got one "for sure" character meal planned. liberty tree tavern on the night we decide to do MVMCP. and i think that anything else, we'll just chance it...

although...we are debating right now...we can't decide if we should go ahead and rent a car or stick with one of the town car transfer services. we've priced it out and for what we need, it would run $125 for us to do the transfers. we don't plan to see anything outside of the parks...we're doing universal for the first 3 nights, staying on-site there and then moving to the dolphin for the last 5 nights and doing nothing outside of disney. in the past, my experience with the disney transportation system on-site wasn't that great so we used our car most of the time...but that was for the all-stars. how is the transportation to the AK, MK, and DD from the dolphin?

ok...i've just realized i've babbled too much this morning...have a good day!!

Brandie...we've always found bus transport to MK from Dolphin to be great. Frequent enough, and not long at all, though I think they usually stop at BC/YC/BW first. But it always seemed quicker to me then going to DTD. The bus stops at BC/YC/BW THEN Typhoon Lagoon, then DTD, then Disney West Side/PI. If it's after 6 it doesn't go to TL though, so it's not bad. I think the AK bus might stop at Blizzard Beach...but I'm not sure....

Check out the towncar services. They fit 4 I think. Are you talking $125 total for MCO to US, then US to Dolphin, then Dolphin to MCO? That's probably not bad...but don't those transfers stop at lots of hotels and stuff? The last few times we've gone (staying at the Dolphin and only for 4-5 days--we've used Tiffany Towncar. $80 RT (plus tip) they pick you up at baggage claim and you get a grocery stop on the way to the hotel. We can be at the Dolphin within an hour or so of landing! We buy bottled water, beer, fruit/snacks, and milk for our in-room coffee/tea. Saves lots of $$. We bring a soft-sided cooler, or, for longer stays/more stuff we buy a $2.99 styrofoam one at the grocery store. OOPS, getting off track here....Anyway.........if the towncar service will drop you at your universal hotel, but pick you up at the Dolphin, you could check out taxi prices from US to Dolphin..........just a thought. Another suggestion would be to check out the DIS Transportation Board and ask for suggestions......lots of great info and tips there!!!

what a couple of yackers!! :p especially Brandie...thats a long post!!

ME....I prefer to rent a car. The only thing we use the bus for is MK and DD only if I were going to PI and having drinks. other wise we use our car to DD, AK and the water parks.

Thanks for the web site Brandie...I think i'll look into it when I have a spare minute that I'm not tired.

Pumba....you make me laugh

well I'm tired now so I'm signing off....Naked nad....over and out :teeth:
