good grief I hate to get up in the mornings......but I still wake up at five thirty even though I have my alarm set for six fifteen.....hubby left for work and i heard the truck start up at five......hmmmm ....maybe it is him that is waking me up....will have to look into this tomorrow am.....

morning!

the $125 is for 4 people for a town car transfer...we like the price and the idea of the transfers. it's just that i worry about getting bored at universal...i doubt it would happen, but it still concerns me. and our first day, i had originally wanted to go see celebration and then hit downtown disney. but i don't think that's gonna happen now. but that's ok! oh, and i wanted to do cirque that first night, but again, that's not that big of a deal. if it so happens that my stepson can go with us, we plan to splurge and get a regular limo transfer too. how impressed would you be as a 14 year old boy? :teeth: i think the company i've looked at for a transfer is your ride. mainly cuz they will accept a credit card as payment. at least, i think that's the right company. i could be confusing them all! i've looked at so many!! i think that we'll be alright with the transfers to the parks from the dolphin. my concern is the water parks...not knowing if we'll be able to even visit one of them due to the weather! cross your fingers that it's nice enough for a water park visit that week!! anyway, we do plan to hit a store and get drinks, water, and snacks, and probably stuff for breakfast too. try to save a smidge of money if we can!! especially if my stepson is with us...if he's with us, we'll plan on one character breakfast, but then we'll most likely be eating in our room for breakfast each morning.

man...i get long winded about this trip! i know we're still well over a year away, but i'm enjoying the whole planning stage. i want to know well ahead of time what it is we want to do so that we know what to expect to save for!

yea what Ann and Pumba said ....good morning

and I hate it when someone or something wakes me 1/2 hour before I have to get up.....or like having to pee  you get up to go and then lie back down and I don't know about you guys but..... forget it.....I can't get back to sleep then......I should just stay up and have the extra half hour....but if I stay up....I'm sooo sleepy I can't stay awake....and if I go back to bed I can't get to sleep...I'm wide awake  whats up with that????

Have a nice wide awake day everybody :)

OK Brandie, I am still confused! Is the $125 the total for the 4 legs of transfers...or just to and from airport? If it's all 4 legs that's not bad, but if you can get a rental car for a little more, it might be worth it to have the options of going off site or driving to parks at your own convenience. Heck, you could spend over $100 easily for one nice dinner for 4 inside WDW or US/IOA. But if you went out to fast food or even a reasonable sit-down off-site just once or twice, you could easily save the cost of the car rental.............

Debbie...I hate it when that happens ;) :)

ann..that's the gran total for the whole thing...all of it...taken from the airport to the US/IoA resort, then to the dolphin, and then back to the airport...i've looked at rental car prices for the same time of year, based on this year's rates, but i can't find anything for under $200 right now. at this moment...i think that we are leaning towards the transfers...but if i'm able to find a car for a lot less than $200 once the date gets closer, then we'll do that. :)

Yikes, I am so dense..there's actually 3 transfers not 4  So basically you might be paying more for the US/IOA transfer to the Dolphin than a taxi would cost...have you looked at taxi for that middle transfer? Anyway, for the treat of towncar service it's not outrageous...it's just that if you can rent a car for $200 or so, you will MORE than make up the $75 difference by eating just a couple of meals off property ( LOTS of options just outside of WDW or US/IOA/CW or WDW/DTD)....as well as having the car for convenience and off-property side trips like Celebration. Oh well, it's not like you don't have time to figure it all out hehehe :)

DD and I are going out to "consult" with a photographer for senior "portrait" She wants this photopgrapher who specializes in outdoor photos, she doesn't want her "head on a blue/gray background" for her senior/yearbook pic. WHY does this sound like big $$$ to me?

Ann, we're doing the senior picture thingie too....only Mike really isn't interested in having it done.....of course he will....cuz I said so....he's going on the 9th of Aug. You and I will have to exchange a wallet size of our teens ....OK? :)

and yes Ann...you are dense....but thats why I like you....you're like me :teeth:

I still vote for the car....keep looking....you got time

SHEESH.....if I buy all the 36 proofs and a package of one of them like the package I usually get (the normal school "head on a blue/gray background" ones)......it will cost me at least $300.........
That being said, this ladies' work is absolutely gorgeous
.......sigh.......

of course we can exchange pics Debbie :)

I'm sooooooooooo tired lately...not sure why...oh yea, maybe because I try to go to bed by ten but then sit there reading Harry Potter or lay there waiting for the social butterfly to come home..........YAWN

well I don't know what the temp was but it was hot and humid here....air conditioners on

yes very busy today...grocery shopping first......then I cleaned the pool...went for my 3 mile walk.....took a shower......drove Justin to school to play basketball....came back and and swam a bit.....went back to pick up Justin....bought supper out and finally finished up by helping Jerry with the basement cleaning. The dumpster gets picked up Monday....30 yards and its almost full  and we didn't even get to the attic yet

and wouldn't you know it.....just because Verizon might be going on strike tonight....my phone stops working right.....all static ....can't here a thing...so I've had all my calls forwarded to my cell phone...and I have to wait till Wednesday for a repair man .......thats if there isn't a strike...if there is...I suppose I'll wait longer

now I'm going to ggo get some tequila and make me a margarita :teeth: maybe I'll be back

I went to North Conway NH today with daughter and two grandkids.did some school shopping at this huge outlet shopping center..........got some good deals .especially a store named Aeropostle.or something like that..kaitlynn got 9 shirts for 4.99 each.most of those are usually 15.00 in Maine............so she thought she got some good deals.......I am bushed..shopping takes alot out of me.........and my pocketbook..

I have shopped there many years ago...I've camped there before too....I love it up there

I'm having my margarita now :)

Sorry... SSB has indeed not been around very much...

Had my older brother in town for several days, then friends... so have been in the parks quite a bit, and some work mixed in.

Today took oldest son for "Pirates"... a great time! (and my second viewing of flim)

Hope that all are well.
