Well hello fellow Swolphins!! Glad some of you came out of the woodwork today

pumba, we have an Aeropostale (or however it's spelled) here....DD has had some things from there but methinks she favors American Eagle more now....(of course she does, it's more expensive ) That is a GREAT deal on the shirts!!!

DH and I did I little shopping this afternoon, ..just Target for light bulbs and "stuff"...Sears for a filter for the shop vac....nothing fun.

We are feeling "hostage" to the coming grandbaby.....we will go to Avery's house to take care of him while his mom and dad go to the hospital for labor and delivery...then after the birth DILs parents will switch with us...we go see baby and they take care of Avery. Baby is due Wednesday but it could be any time (they've been saying that for over a week) Thursday's check-up -- 2cm dilated and "fully effaced"...whatever THAT is...I don't remember that term from 17 years ago, but I guess it means READY. Meanwhile, DH and I feel like we can't really go anywhere too far...like outlet shooping or over to the beach for lobster....sigh......

hello my fellow swolphins!!

nothing exciting here...we did some house stuff today. we have our final selections appointment friday and we needed to verify some prices before we go into the appointment. well, i'm certainly glad that we did!! we got the new price sheets and the cabinets we were going to get shot up in price! we were originally budgeting about $400 some odd dollars...well, they are now $735!! my mom gave us a good idea though...i think that we are going to redo the cabinet doors ourselves. along with everything else we're already planning to do! ugh...i will just be happy to get into this house...i don't care what else we have to do to it...but it will be worth it!

enjoy that margarita!! drink an extra one for me...

No margarita for me (that was Friday ) But I did eat almost a whole pint of Ben&Jerry's ...it was on sale for $1.88 (usually 3.19!) so I got DD her Phish Food and got myself something called ...........(are you ready??!?!) ................

i've lost 10 pounds now on atkins!!! woo hoo!!!

well, this is the week for our final selections...and we have now decided on everything! including what our inspiration is for decorating! we've watched trading spaces way too much...we've learned that you find one item to use as your inspiration and draw your colors from that. well, this weekend, we found our inspiration for the entire downstairs, as well as our bedroom. i bought these coasters from kirklands and a photo box from there too. i guess we're going with an italian wine vineyard type theme downstairs. since the downstairs is all so open, the rooms need to flow together...so we've chosen our furniture (well, couches and chairs) and the colors...olive and a darker purple...and we will be deciding on the wall colors. we're wanting to use different colors for each "room" but colors that will compliment each other. it's going to be fun! then in our room, i think we're going with a west indies/polynesian kind of theme. mainly yellows, reds, greens, oranges...it'll look awesome when we're done!!!

my mom thinks that we should go and register at places for stuff we want for the house. like we did when we got married. but this time, my family will be able to get us what we need for the house for christmas! we like the idea...we're just trying to figure out where we can register...

What kind of dinnerware (dishes) do you have? Pfaltgraff (stoneware) has a grapevine pattern that is really pretty and would be so nice with your theme!! They have a website...gift registry...and lots of accessory/decorative items to go with their dish patterns.

Really icky sticky weather here today...off and on showers, downpours, peaks of sun, thunder rumbles........not too hot but huuuuuuuuumid icky sticky!!!

Greetings! I got back last night from a fun weekend at Riddle-Con! It was great to see old DIS friends again and meet new ones. It reminded me a lot of the first Cheerleader meet 2 years ago at about the same time - except the theme park was Cedar Point instead of WDW.

The summer has sure flown by! Hope you all enjoy the remaining few weeks before the kids return to school.

Hi Nancy! It sure has been a fast summer so far! I saw some of those RiddleCon threads...looks like a great time! Hard to believe it's been two years since that first S/D c/l meet...the reception...the inaugural DATW.....the tour....**sigh**
I feel so lucky to have been back 3 more times since too

hockeymom--WELCOME glad you found us. We originally met on the Resort Board.....and got moved over here because we were too ..um....off topic over there after a while that was several years and 4 or 5 150 page threads ago
Grab a heavenly bed and make yourself at home. A few of us met up in June at our favorite resort....the only one with a trip "imminent" is possibly Gail (CookieGVB)..we are awaiting her dates so we can live through her for awhile. But we always find something to talk about here.

(Watch out for Mickeyfaniam(Debbie) though. She is a BIG troublemaker. I, on the other hand, am known as "the always kind NHAnn" )

well almost innocent......I am Marie and I crave I mean literally crave hot rice crackers that I first got many moons ago at Epcot in Japan....I now get my orders thru their distributor...I need them to keep going..and red tootsie roll pops.....I had to have YUCK grape tonight...that really was going to be jacobs...I ran out of red ones..if I had not sucked on that tootsie roll pop...I would of eaten another handful of those lindt chocolate truffle balls......I am in chocolate overdose....welcome to those who just moved my bed.....

Now Ann and Marie...with all that ice cream ......making whoopie.....and all those red tootsie poops.....I mean pops.....and one yucky grape one and those crackers and Lindt chocolate....aren't those just heavenly......not heavenly like the beds though....heavenly like yummy in the tummy.....chocolate in the bed would be messy....unless you were......oh never mind.....I can't go there, here ........now with all that eating...you ladies are going to get LARGE and ill maybe.....you're going to make me that way cuz I read it and then I need to eat it so stop it!!
