yes it is Tuesday isn't it....I suppose thats better than Monday....however not as good as Wednesday

well try to make the best of it :)

hello Amber....good to see you........
and Teri and Sue....get out of the woodwork....people might start to think you're termites or something :p

 what?! TERMITES?!!!! ACK!!!!!!! ;)

welcome welcome welcome hockeymom!! i'm brandie and i am not an original member...i was kind of adopted! i found this group one night...the topics were making me laugh...and i just never left! that was a year ago now! wow...does time ever fly?!

 morning everyone!

i can't believe you guys are eating chocolate in bed!!! last night, i was eating a sugar free ice cream bar and no matter how careful i was, i still ended up with chocolate all over me! lol (debbie...don't go there...) ;)

we haven't decided on our dishes yet. we haven't been able to agree!! he wants stark white dishes. he's always wanted that. but i keep thinking with our color palette that white just wouldn't look quite right. i'm leaning towards an off white color...i think...who knows!! the dishes we have right now are pretty ugly! they came in one of those box sets from walmart. you know...where everything is thrown into one box for you? :) he will be so happy to be rid of those things!! i'll have to go check out the pattern you've suggested! thanks!

we settled in and watched some pre-season football last night. well, i started to watch it...got to about halfway through the 2nd quarter, and fell asleep! matthew said that they didn't get much more played anyway...one of the guys had a pretty nasty looking injury and was carried off on a gurney. it turned out to be just a neck sprain, but he sure didn't look like he was even moving as they were tending to him...and after that, they had halftime and when the 2nd half started, along came a pretty nasty thunderstorm with ugly lightning. so, they called off the game. but the chiefs won!! 9 to 0...GO CHIEFS!!! (i personally like the ravens but for DH's sake i'll pretend to like the chiefs too!)

Thank you thank you for the warm welcome. I promise not to make a mess, and I'll always clean up after myself!

Debbie

you can make all the mess you want in your own room and you don't have to clean it either....just close the door ........
better yet....borrow Ann's bubble boy....he cleans up nicely and i'll bet he loves chocolate too Brandie ;)

wow..it has been raining SO hard here this afternoon that at work some water got into sumpin' on the roof...and sumpin' shorted sumpin' ...we lost our power around 1:30 pm............a few of us caught up on work that didn't need computer or calculator for awhile... but the heavy rain and clouds were making it hard to see so at 3:30 I left...most everyone else was already gone...........

NO chocolate in the beds? OH NO!!! A few weeks ago someone needed explanations of how to get their sheets changed every day. I explained the "throw them in a heap" method and they'll change them out for you. The reason I knew this worked so well was due to the chocolate croissants at CL at the Swan! Lets just say they make very good midnight snacks, but don't do so well on the sheets. You try to brush off the crumbs and WHAM, there go the sheets. Ok, My story is out.. I ate in bed.....I should be thrown in S/D jail or something, eh?

Debbie

no need to worry hockeymom, there are definitely no chocolate police here on the thread. You can eat all the cyber-chocolate in your cyber-bed that you want!! :)
Now, housekeeping at the resort, well that's another story. You rub in the crumbs, then you gotta do what you gotta do ;)

Goooood Morning everyone!

I am first again?? I cant believe it!!

Have a great HUMP day. :teeth:

Happy Hump Day to all! :teeth:

Welcome hockeymom - welcome back, Amber & Nancy!

My niece got married last Friday, and looked bee-YOO-tee-ful. Of course I cried...they used to live with us back when they were younger, and of course the vision of a little 5-year-old came to me that night. My sister looked absolutely stunning in her gown - I thought she was one of the bridesmaids! :earseek: Then I remembered they were wearing red, and she was in blue. ;) During the reception, my new nephew danced with his mother to a Barry song that I helped them choose, and I cried again. Ahhh...I love weddings!! :)

It's official - I'm heading to WDW in 13 days - woohoo!!!

i'm so jealous gail!!! i still have...well, way too many days to count until i get back tot he World :( oh well...at least by that time, hopefully some of you cheerleaders might be able to come along too!!

DH was eating a chocolate ice cream bar in bed last night  but at least there was no chocolate mess! had it been me who was eating the chocolate in bed, it would have been EVERYWHERE...

2 more days until our final selections!!! yippee!!! then they can start building an actual HOUSE!! :bounce:

has anyone been watching Big Brother this season???

Sounds like a nice wedding Cookie!! Which Barry song did they dance to? Inquiring minds want to know ;)
And I am SO happy for you (Jealous, but happy) about your trip :teeth: DON"T FORGET THE SQUEEZE BREEZE!!!!!!
And remember, we want e-mails from Innoventions!! :teeth:

..........no power still when I arrived back at work this morning and some of my co-workers got the raised-eyebrow (or as DD calls it "Mom's look of death" ) from me for leaving yesterday afternoon when we all have plenty to do that does not require electricity......I don't EVER want to hear ANY of them babbling about organizational "teamwork" EVER again ! Some sections were actually told via phone call that they didn't even have to come IN til it came back on  Anyway, we got power back around 11!!

happy Wednesday to all :)

Not sure Brandie...but "That user has specified that they do not wish to receive emails through this board. If you still wish to send an email to this user, please contact the administrator and they may be able to help"
Maybe it's a familiar pest , we can wait to see if we want to call and exterminator :teeth: ;) :teeth:

The little waving smilies are cuter than these guys though!

Nope, no cyber-termites here in OUR house :teeth:

Nice song Cookie! BTW , I think I have heard that song, on RadioDelilah...she plays lots of obscure love/comfort/tissue type songs ;) ...and I mean that in a GOOD way! :)

OK, I am in need of some hugs. Well DD is really the one, but me too. To make a long story short, her biological father is playing head games with her again. It's just so painful -- for her--and so hard to not be able to make the pain go away. She was supposed to spend some time with him and his family Friday and Saturday, she had a Saturday sub lined up for work, who cancelled on her Monday, she spent two days calling and grovelling and pleading but no one can work for her. So she told her dad tonight (after we both figured she better get it overwith) and he gave her such a hard time, saying she should just quit her job if they won't give her the day off, using foul language, ughh. This from the guy who passes our exit on the highway at least twice a month enroute from his home 90 minutes south of here to his vacation home 90 minutes north of her....and doesn't even call on his cell phone let alone stop in for a visit or take her for a meal! Then lays guilt trips on her about not "fulfilling her family obligations to 'his side' " . He's never even come to see her in a high school soccer game and not been to a horse show in about 6 years :( He expects her to be at HIS house at HIS convenience to "fulfill her obligations" to him. And when she's there he "drinks beer and watches TV, that's quality family time for sure" to quote DD.
I haven't spoken to him more than a few times in the last couple of years because I refuse to listen to his nonsense...and I had told her if he started in on the phone that she should just hang up......so she did after the first "f-bomb" as she calls it. So DH hugged her and we all talked awhile and she calmed down and went out to her girlfriend's hottub...then the phone rang and I told DH "I'm NOT here" It was him and he told DH to tell me to call him in the morning due to a "problem with DD". Fat chance....I'm NOT calling him. :( :( :(
Sorry...way too long and confusing a post, I know...just had to vent.

WOW!! Hope you feel better Ann and M too!!

Sounds like a great wedding Gail and I'm also happy and Jealous about your trip :p but wishing you a great time!!

Ann get rid of those bugs!! YUCK!!

A masked termite????anyone mind if I take a guess....its its its....
SUE....I just know it is!!! COme on out now Sue....you know you want to get in on this chocolate in bed conversation :p

So Brandie...I'm surprised you didn't go get one and drop it all over the place and then ....well remember what I said??
OH thats right.......I didn't say it....didn't think I should go there!!! :teeth:

thanks Debbie...I was just LOL when I saw at the beginning of my post that I was "making a long story short" heheehehe

Should I delete the termites? I was looking for a cute exterminator but couldn't find one ;) Guess we could give bubble boy a can of bug spray.............

I though the Termite visitor might be Sue too.......then I thought maybe Teri......then I thought maybe Christine (she likes those waving smilies ;) )......
then I thought...it was sort of an ejiggie thing to do.............
I just don't know ! :)

I want some chocolate croissants right now. I have no chocolate in the house when I need it!!!!!!!!!!
