SW Coke rewards question....

Has anyone actually used these rewards? I am cutting it tight on my booking timeframe so I was curious...Once you reach 100 pts on Coke Rewards - do you cash them in and then receive an email with a coupon code to use on SW?? TIA

Yes, if you have the needed Coke Rewards points you simply redeem them and you get an email with the discount code. You use that code on the Southwest website to get the discount off the roundtrip ticket being purchased. Keep in mind the travel validity dates on that offer and the holiday blackout period.

Thank You so much for your information!!!! I would think each person in the party would need to accumulate 100 pts in order to rcv the discount? It wouldnt take $20 off each person on the reservation with one coupon code...would it? Wishfully dreaming on my behalf !!!!

No, it's $20 off, period, not $20 off per person. I think you can cash in more that one. I didn't know it was just 100 points until just now - we rarely have Coke/Coke products at home but have a few codes every now and then from having soda for guests. I have enough for 3 coupons!

Couldn't you book each persons travel seperately (if you have enough coke rewards) and thus save $20 per reservation?

Also I think there are restrictions from Southwest-no Ding fares

That's what I'm hoping. I just got 3 reward codes. I hope to book all flights separately when the time comes.

Yes, you can use one per roundtrip reservation.
Only valid on Wanna Get Away fares, not on regular fares or Dings.
Tickets must be purchased by 1/21/11.
Travel must be completed by 2/16/11.
Blacked out over Christmas & New Years.

The 100 Coke Reward points is a good deal. AirTran recently had a similar offer that cost 315 points for a $25 discount. It was, however, valid on one way tickets.
