Survivor Thailand! (Possible Spoilers)

I can't believe Clay is still there!!! I thought he was gone as soon as Ted won immunity. The way he treated Jake after the last TC was enough to do him in (or so I thought). The others seemed to disapprove of his attitude, but kept him anyway. I'd love to know why

Can someone re-cap for me? i just saw the vote, but missed the actually happenings on the show.

SSB thinks that they were just finishing the "business", of final elimination...

Would surely think that Mr. Clay better win immunity challange next week, or could be big trouble... haha!

I thought Clay would be gone as well. I can't believe they still stuck with him. He will be the first to stab them in the back.

I'm glad that they all got to work with their loved one on the immunity challenge. And you can tell that Jake is sooooooo in love with his wife. It was so sweet. But why did he vote for nutty Jan  oh well.

I can't believe they didn't get rid of Clay either! Esp. after the way Helen was talking about him to Brian. So now the entire jury is the old Sook Jai tribe. Clay is such a weasel, so they'll get rid of him next week (unless he wins immunity). That means Clay will probably have a good shot at swinging the final vote.

Unless........MAYBE they're keeping Clay around so that he'll be one of the final 2, figuring that if it's Clay vs. (Helen/Jan/Ted/Brian) the jury will remember all of Clay's weaseling and vote against Clay for the $1Million. That's the only thing I can think of.

But Kelly tried that back in Survivor 1 and it backfired on her and Richard won.

Yuck!! I doubt I could of even eaten the ants!! My DH said he knew if it was me, he would of just said bye to me as soon as he found out it was the family and not the survivors that had to eat the creatures :) I was sooo hoping Helen had convinced everyone to vote off Clay. Jake seems like such a nice, genuine guy. I hope I remember to catch him on the morning show tomorrow.

Hi all! I was so sure Clay was outta there. Sigh... I liked Jake.
When Ted's brother Quane (sp?) bit into that roach, and the juice splurted out... I thought I was going to lose it! :o

I'm glad they let all the loved ones come back for the challenge. :D

*Edited because I can't remember names!

Wow. That was an interesting show.

Clay really showed his tail after TC!

As Ted said, "That was messed up." Or something like that. And Ted was right. What Clay did was uncalled for. And what Jake said was right!! I *did* like Clay, but I was hoping he would be voted off instead of Jake after Clay's episode. I thought for sure he would be gone with Helen strategizing.

Anyway, I too think Clay's days are numbered (and rightfully so)
unless he wins immunity.

The eating bugs part was icky. I felt sorry for Jake's wife after all she did to win. There's no way I'd have done it. That was some gross stuff. Ugh.

Well... the last person I thought "worthy" of winning just said goodbye. I don't know if I'm going to bother watching the rest of the season. Probly will if only because I enjoy watching the challenges (well, except today's bug challenge) and because I'm curious now, but I don't really care who wins now as long as it isn't Clay.

I'm still betting it's Ted and that this whole thing is rigged.

I'm *so* glad they let the survivors get some time with their loved ones!

I missed what Clay did...?

Rajah, I don't know if you saw the TC where Jake brought up that the tribe said they keep people based on performance. He said he would base his performance against anyone's there. And Clay went bonkers over it afterwards. Said he didn't like the comment. He went on a tirade that lasted a good while. It wasn't pretty. None of the tribe liked it.

I was puzzled by Brian's statement (while voting) about "...getting more positivity in your life." Aimed at Jake. Jake's statement was true! I guess it may have hit Brian rather close to home too. Brian just hasn't been as abrasive...

Helen said she thought Clay went nuts over it because it was true and it hit a little too close to home for him. She said Clay doesn't do anything there.

I think that's what sparked Helen trying to oust Clay. Although she hasn't been a big fan of Clay's to begin with...

Now that it's down to the old Chewing Gum gang it certainly will get interesting.

Did you guys see Penny rolling her eyes over there on the jury? She drives me nuts, and is such a sore loser. When Jake got voted out she just rolled those evil eyes of hers again..... I was thinking what in the world are you rolling your eyes at????? You stabbed him in the back before any of the remaining chewing gum tribe did!............. Ughh! I am so glad she's out, too bad she's on the jury.

Yes, PRINCESS VIJA --- I did notice Miss Penny.

How right you are about her. I'm glad she is out too.

Annemarie

I ignored Penny.

Did anyone else not recognize the cop (Ken?) when he came in? Or am I just totally out of it after missing a week?

Did the thing with Clay happen in the first 10 minutes, because I missed the first 10 minutes. I came in as they were bringing out Clay's wife.

Yes, Rajah.... it was at the beginning of the show... with them using the "night cameras" to film it. I always think those sequences are kind of "freaky" due to the red glowing eyes... HAHA!!

I missed Clay's tantrum too. Did anyone else notice when Jeff announced it would be the FAMILY member eating the yucky stuff that Helen's veins started popping out on her neck and she pointed at her dh and said "EAT IT!" LOL I thought, "That poor guy must be scared of his wife!"

I told my dh.... there's only a week left.... I wouldn't have eaten ANY of it!:D

Mermaid, that's exactly what I told my dh! "Sorry, honey, see you in 8 days!" And, he agreed. He said he would've not even ASKED me to eat the first one.

But, I'm so sad that Jake is gone. I was soo hoping he could have won immunity. No one that's left really deserves the million, except maybe Jan, IMO. I hate seeing people who backstab and weasel their way through things come out winners in the end. :(

LOL Mermaid...I thought the same thing about Helen and her hubby. She was barking orders at him!! Don't you dare...swallow it!!!! Hehehe. Guess we know who runs that household. And I agree, when Ted's brother bit the projectile roach I started gagging (good thing I had not eaten dinner yet...it was close). I would have looked at Tommy and said "hey you know I love ya, but I am NOT eating bugs". I would have just resigned myself to the fact that it was nice to see him.

Did anyone else notice Clay leering at Brian's wife when she first came out? I think that man must have some explaining to do to his wife after she watches this show! Especially the part when he would leer at Erin and talk about her body. If I were his wife I'd be killing him about now. He is really creepy, and I hope he goes next week.

I was really rooting for Jake and his wife to win immunity. After all she ate for him, they deserved at least that. He seemed almost at peace with the decision though when he got booted out and came to the conclusion of what is really important in life. I'm going to miss him next week.

The first segment that showed how big of a baby Clay was acting... that sealed it for me. I truly liked the guy, but he went way too far. I appreciate that Ted was straight up with him and told him that what he said was wrong... too bad it didn't have any impact.
I cried when Jake's wife lost the challenge... you could see that she was trying sooo hard, it was just so sweet. I feel bad for Helen's "wife" because she berated him until he finished each course. Like if he had lost he would've been in big trouble or something... but he kept reiterating that she wasn't all tough like that at home. Her attitude during that challenge really turned me off... where was the supportiveness? I felt so bad for Jake - his words were so sweet and he was so understanding -- it broke my heart. Wasn't it funny how Brian's wife barely finished the first course and Did Not Touch the second course? You knew even before they started the ants that he knew she wasn't going to win that challenge!
Jake really came out to be such a good person, a good loser, and an all-around great guy. When he saw his wife on the beach, there was soooo much love between them (and everyone else had their own moments with their loved ones). So when he was voted off, he had the best words to say... I'd love to see how he and his wife are doing now. It's a shame he lost... I think he deserved to win.
So now I'm placing my chips on Ted to win.
