Survivor: Nicaragua Wed, Sept 15**No Spoilers**

I really don't think it's editing. She actually said things like, "Kelly B better be careful or I might through her leg in the fire." That's not editing. I think she's not a very mentally strong person. She's a bully because she is insecure - without someone to bully, she falls apart.

The editing came into play with the choice to show her talking about her divorce - I guess in an effort to humanize her. It didn't work on me - I still think she's a nasty woman.
Oh, I agree with you but editing also comes into play when they just show bad things about a person. Not to take up for Nay but I'm sure that there had to be some times when she was "nice". We just didn't see it.

I used to work with a lady that was mean and nice. If she liked you, it was all roses but if she didn't, she was just as mean as Nay. The editors would have shown her to her disadvantage just like they are doing to Nay because it causes more drama and gives us someone to hate.

With that being said, I'll be glad when she's gone. While I don't like how mean she has been, I dislike her wimping out and talking about going home more. And it looks like Dan will be doing the same next week.

If Brenda has any smarts about her (they are playing her up to have some), she will find a way to get rid of Marty soon.

Jeff's blog:

TELL THE TRUTH
You knew the tribe switch was coming when Marty said: “It would take something extraordinary, off the charts and completely whacked out to destroy my plan.” Marty, did you forget what game you’re playing? This is Survivor. We invented the “twist.” The only thing you can count on with Survivor is to never count on anything.

TELL THE TRUTH
You’re a little glad the switch happened because now maybe the challenges will get a bit more aggressive… and oh yeah, the Medallion of Poooowwwer is gone!

TELL THE TRUTH
You shook your head in amazement when Tyrone started bossing his new tribemates around. Another unaware Survivor making a critical mistake.

TELL THE TRUTH
You were annoyed when Marty and Jill started explaining the “protocol” at their old camp, hoping to influence the youngsters.

TELL THE TRUTH
You yelled at your tv and jumped up and down in frustration when Naonka talked about how things have “changed’ between her and Alina, and that they are now tight.

TELL THE TRUTH
You turned to the person you were watching with and said “What is he doing?” when Marty admitted to having the Immunity Idol.

TELL THE TRUTH
You grew to like Brenda a little bit more when she gave a no holds barred lowdown on Marty’s idiotic move to reveal to the tribe that he had the idol.

TELL THE TRUTH
You first laughed… and then after a moment, had a touch of sadness, followed by another fit of laughter when Naonka cried to her new best friend, Alina, about how tough it was to be out in the rain.

TELL THE TRUTH
Initially, you wished Chase would have stayed quiet and not tried to talk Naonka into staying in the game. “Let her quit” you yelled at the screen.

TELL THE TRUTH
Once you heard Chase’s story about his father, you forgot about Naonka and thought about your own dad and your family and those you love, and you liked Chase a little bit more afterward.

TELL THE TRUTH
When Naonka said, “I’m not a quitter… I think I’m done” you jumped for joy and said, “Oh I hope she quits!”

TELL THE TRUTH
You knew Tyrone was in trouble when the tribe said they wanted to kill the chicken and Tyrone said, “So we going with that?” But when he then followed it up with “I think we should keep it,” you knew he would get votes. But when he said “just be conscious of your neighbor” and then took the biggest piece of chicken, you knew he was done.

TELL THE TRUTH
Thus far, this isn’t your favorite of all the blogs I’ve written.

TELL THE TRUTH
Guys: From the Espada tribe, who do you find the most attractive? Alina? Yve? Naonka?
Women: Is it Benri? Chase? Dan?

TELL THE TRUTH
The last question was pretty pathetic.

TELL THE TRUTH
When Naonka shared her story of divorce, you had a moment of thinking “Hmm.. she does have a conscience. Maybe she’s not as bad as I thought.”

TELL THE TRUTH
When Naonka said “there was not twenty-four hours in that day…it was like twenty-six, but it felt like forty-eight.” You laughed out loud, because that is a funny line.

TELL THE TRUTH
The moment of the night was when Benri knocked over the bell at the voting booth after proclaiming “Benri’s here baby.” Instant classic.

TELL THE TRUTH
You won’t really miss Tyrone. You’re glad Naonka is still around… and… you’re asking, “why didn’t you include Brenda in your “attractive” question?

Sorry so short, it was a busy week and now it’s late. I really do hope you are enjoying this season of Survivor!

Thanks for posting the blog!

I know that Tyrone was annoying but really? Vote him out and not the guy that can't walk? Seriously? What a bunch of dopes! :sad2:

They have been letting able bodied people go before Dan. They are not playing very smart.

Here's hoping Marty gets the shaft next week.

First they edit Nay as a total evil person and now they are editing her as a wimp. :rotfl:

I don't think editing had anything to do with Nay being evil. She flat out is a low class piece of trash and there's no amount of editing that can change her own actions and the stuff that spews from her mouth even if that is only 10% of her footage that is enough to make her exactly who is portrayed on the show. Personally I think she realized that she lost her advantage and that her actions are going to start counting against her. She's over there with one of her enemy's and a whole bunch of people who are not going to put up with her crap.

And I agree Marty needs to go, he is too cocky and that never gets you anywhere on survivor.

He didn't wanted to eat the chicken and then he ate most of it, he made several mistakes.

Actually I wouldn't have killed the chicken either, the Rooster yes but why kill an egg producing chicken all the rooster is good for is making more chickens...not a big concern when you only have 28 days left on the island. Obviously no one on the team is from the country LOL

That's we thought too! :thumbsup2 We have 13 chickens and a rooster. Do you have chickens? The chickens are going to continue to lay the eggs whether or not the rooster is there or not there. He's only good for fertilizing the egg when you want baby chicks. My co-workers did not know this.

It's funny. My sister is a Dairy farmer, and when they have calves and a boy comes out she calls them useless males since she can't use them for milk. Same thing could be said for chickens. Why keep the uselss male and kill a possible egg producing hen. Not smart. Of course this year seems to be filled with particularly dumb players.

Ha! You don't have to be from the country--my 11 year old daughter called them on that immediately! They should not have let Ty go no matter how annoying--they should have gotten rid of Dan (although I wish they got rid on Na:rolleyes1) Chase's story was sweet, but it made me like Chase, not Na--she just doesn't have anyone to bully at the new camp! Did you see her about in tears when her name was called to go to the new tribe? Man, that tribe really doesn't stand a chance, do they!?!?

I have no chickens but my grandparents were ranchers and dairy farmers and I spent a lot of time around farms. I'm basically a city girl with country connections.

And even though they said that the one guy ate a lot of chicken, all I saw him doing was nawing on the bones. Once the others had eaten the meat parts I'm sure there was plenty of stuff to chew on the bones, so I'm not too sure he really ate all that they said he did.

We were saying the same thing.."Hellooo? Really, you're going to kill the CHICKEN? The one that lays eggs instead of the rooster??"

Those people are dumb. And pretty much annoying. And then there's Danny, who's not done a thing yet and he remains...Seriously? Has he participated in a challenge since the first day?

I thought Tyrone had potential, but after his dumb mistakes on last night's episode, I don't think I will miss him.

I'm not at all glad Naonka is still around though. The sooner that girl goes, the happier I'll be.

Whether Brenda is attractive or not; eh, don't care one way or the other, and I still don't have all the guys' names down, so I can't answer the previous attracive question... yet. ;)

ITA

I have to say I haven't been loving this season so far. I hope mixing up the tribes livens thing up a bit.

Yeah, my husband walked through the room and said, 'idiots, eat the rooster first. They are all going to die.' he's a farm boy and hates the show but that little bit of stupidity did not get by him. :)

I too thought they were idiots for killing one of the chickens instead of the rooster - the rooster might have even been bigger meaning more meat for everyone.

The reason Jeff didn't include Brenda in the attractive category is because she is one of those women who KNOWS that she's hot which makes her NOT hot. I would take Alina any day of the week over Brenda.

I was thinking this morning that this is one of the most boring seasons of Survivor I have ever watched.....

I was really sorry to see Tyrone go. Yes, he was kind of bossy when they went back to camp, and he didn't want to kill the chicken but yet he ate his share or maybe more, but he would be strong yet for challenges. I think they should have gotten rid of either Dan (since he has trouble with his knee) or Naonka. Let's hope she left the idol hidden at the other camp, so she doesn't have it anymore.

DH and I gave each other a puzzled look when they killed the chicken and not the rooster. Duh. Are they all that stupid?

And I'm really getting tired of Naonka getting so much air time. There are still players that I don't even know their names because you never see/hear them. :(

Totally agree... I know they know it's screenworthy but it's getting OLD. :rolleyes1
