Smart move to keep Jenna, if she's as sick as she says.

Rob is such a sneaky one. And he deserves to win for it. Has anyone else heard that he wrote a thesis on "how to win at Survivor" ?

Maybe if they didnt make such an issue of how they were younger, cuter, prettier etc than the other girls this issue and names would never have come up. There has never been a season of survivor where there were people so stuck on themselves and didnt come into the game trying to use their sexuality the way these girls have. Yes there has been 1 person occasionally who thinks theyre better than others but not to this extent. These girls get everything they deserve. Hopefully by luck Jenna will not be in the final 2 and god help us the winner. That would only make her head swell even more than it is. She is a spoiled only child(dont take me wrong not all only children are spoiled but she is). She gives a few tears every time she doesnt like something.

Boy do I sound bitter or what.... I'll get off the soapbox now...

Just to clarify, I called them that because I thought I heard Rob call them that and it seemed pretty funny after all their talk about being younger and prettier than the other girls. Also pretty sure I heard Jenna call Deena a "fat pig". My apologies to those I have offended by calling them what I did.

Wow, you people really don't like Jenna and Heidi. I am no fan either, but I have been thinking, why is it ok to call them twigs (or sticks)? If they were both overweight would we be calling them logs?

I have been wondering the exact same thing!

Heidi is on the Early show right now and about to take viewer questions.

For anyone who missed it, the callers were pretty negative towards Heidi.
She said that Deena first called her a "panty waist", and the other older women were "all over" her with remarks. She said that the cameras didn't show those "attacks", but only showed her "striking back".

I laughed hysterically at that - her lost Zeta shirt that she had had 5 whole years. I was in a Sorority and the only thing that's truly "heirloom" is your initiation pin which you hope to pass onto your daughter. And, if something is that precious to be considered an heirloom, you certainly don't take it on a show like survivor where the elements can destroy it.

Miss Jasmine, as far as the Twigs references, you must have missed the earlier episodes where these girls kept making demeaning "fat and ugly" comments about the other women competing on the show and how they should get special privileges due to their "thin cuteness." Rob coined the phrase "Twigs" for them and it's stuck.

Oh the old two wrongs make a right theory.

I remember Rob calling them twigs but if he had called the other girls fat pigs everyone would be up in arms, just like you are over Heidi and Jenna saying that. Think about it. Just because it's a reference to a thin girl doesn't make it right.

I thought that once the fire got "involved" and burning, it looked a little too staged, like it might have been able to have been controlled by the Survivor crew when they noticed it, but it was much better letting it burn everything up, to cause conflict etc. JMHO

And the name twigs etc., they deserve the nicknames, and they sure liked to call others morons, fat pigs etc. I think most everyone on this board is a good person who doesn't resort to name calling, this is just everyone having fun discussing the shows and rooting for their favorites or dissing their non-favorites.

Jenna does whine way too much anyway and kinda deserves the treatment she gets. And let's not forget, this is a television show, and who knows how much of it is "real" and "staged" for our benefit. Someone on these shows is always the "me, me, me" person, it wouldn't be entertaining without some villans along the way

I felt too that they let the fire burn a little too long before putting it out, which they obviously did, because at one point the flames seemed to be getting out of control. I doubt a fire that bad just went out on its own.
I also saw Heidi on the Early Show this morning and she did get hammered with the phone calls. She just defended herself saying that they never showed her working and the other people calling her names. Who knows it might be true, but she was not shown in a positive light on Survivor.
Out of the final four, I think I'd be happy with any one of them winning, except Jenna. I can't wait for Sunday

I didn't realize how much I enjoyed Rob's presence on the show till last night when his name came up at tribal counsel. I found myself thinking "oh no!" that he could get voted out! This Survivor sure would have been different (and more boring) without him.

In Heidi's final comments she said something about hoping to see Jenna in a few days which almost sounds like she's hoping Jenna is voted out next.

I can't believe (well actually I can) that Heidi is so incredibly clueless!!! Her tribal counsel comments, and the expressions on others faces, were priceless!

Matt is destined for the final 2 since he seems to be able to win all the challenges. I would love to see Rob as one of the final 2 just to hear the questions the jury would ask him!

The crew never seems to get involved. They let the flood in a previous episode wash things away, as well.
I think Butch just put too much wood on the fire. It got too hot, and the dry palm fronds were bound to ignite.

I don't care for Heidi or Jenna, but I won't refer to them as Stick or Twig. I won't refer to Deena as Fat Pig, either. Just because someone coins a phrase doesn't make it alright to use that phrase. If I used the term "Fat Pig" in place of "Deena", I bet I wouldn't be allowed to have too much fun around here.

That is one thing to remember about this show. Almost every person who has been interviewed after this show has said that the producers can (and have) made them look one way through the editing. Those people are out there for almost 900 hours with multiple cameras rolling making for maybe 3000 or 4000 hours or footage that is edited down to around 20 or so hours... The only thing we, the viewers, have to base our opinions on, though, is what is being shown to us. Based on what I have seen, neither Heidi or Jenna deserves to win. But I am sure we haven't seen it all, if you know what I mean.

One last point, IMHO, Butch will be the next to go unless he wins immunity. Butch has offended no one and for any of the other remaining three to go against Butch during the final vote, they would certainly lose. They have to get rid of him next, if they can.

I don't buy into the theory that the crew just stands by and does not get involved, ever, but then this is JMHO.

We are having so much fun on this thread with cheering/jeering our favorites, non-favorites, and poking fun at the Survivors and their antics, why do we now want to start arguing about how several of them are being referred to? Again, JMHO. Have I personally called them those names, not to my knowlege in any post I've posted, but it doesn't bother me in the context of our discussions here. I really don't think anyone posting here is an unsensitive person. Heck, I would love to be referred to as "twig or stick" but unfortunately, I'm more of the log type

I agree. I don't think anyone here would just be zeroing in on what Rob said had Heidi and Jenna not made repeated comments how they are better looking and more deserving because they are SKINNY cute girls.

BTW, Heidi sounds like such a LITTLE teeny bopper, talking about "the boys and girls". Hasn't she figured out that grownups are called "men and women"?

There's a difference. An overweight person would not be flaunting their heft, whereas these tow flaunted their thinness. Remember the ice cream sundaes they weren't sorry to miss, because they didn't need the calories? This after being how many days into the show?

We're not making fun of them as much as we are making fun of their own self-awareness.

As far as the fire goes, I'd really be surprised if the crew allowed the fire to get out of control to the point that it would endanger the environment. They must have some responsibility to the local population.

Ok, the Fantasy League didn't give me bonus points! I had Jenna on my team and picked to cry, yet I wasn't awarded the 40 pts. Not that I was even close to the leader....oh well, no Saturn for me. Can't catch him/her now.

Butch is almost certainly gone at the next Tribal Council, unless someone besides Matt wins immunity. If that happens then Matt is a possibility. Rob is almost guaranteed to be safe since everyone wants him beside them for a final vote.

I loved the Early Show! Heidi seems so shocked that people aren't just looking up to her and calling to say how everyone wishes they could be as beautiful as she is!!! What a hoot!!!

Heidi admitted she didn't work much because she was mad. She's obviously trying to twist and turn things to make herself look better.

And she said she was voted off next because at this stage of the game you have to vote off people who are a threat! LOL!!!!

My opinion of her is she's such a shallow person.
