I agree - thanks for no spoilers. I really don't mind if it's in the text - I don't click on until after I've watched. What gets me is if the thread title gives it away! People here have been great about this lately. It's great, especially for the people living in other countries that see them much later.

I'm headed over to the Survivor site to see what's up! I'm anxious to hear how your Survivor game goes even though I'm not participating.

Just have to say regarding boiling of buffs. She (Jenna) not only boiled her buff but her UNDERWEAR!!! I hope it is NOT the same pot that they boil their drinking water in!!! YUCKO!!!

I can't believe they boiled water to wash their buffs and undies. Do we know how much water they got? They haven't talked about a water hole so I'm assuming they will need to boil the river water to drink unless they are given a certain amount every few days. I would rather have water to drink then a clean buff.

She didn't look at all bony or gross to me. She looked like a typical 21 year old girl. Like my DD and her girlfriends.

Jenna is from my hometown and I got to see her audition tape on our local news. I liked her. I don't think she made a good first impression on the show, but then you only see what they want you to see. I not ready to write her off that quickly.
Rob annoyed the heck out of me. I won't be sorry to see him go.
I felt so bad for Christy. She felt SO left out.
My uncle was deaf from birth, he was a great lip reader. I never thought about how the darkness would hamper that.

I finally got to see it last night, and I have to say I enjoyed it. I was surprised at how unorganized the women were, I would have thought that shelter would have been their main concern, I know it sure would have been mine. And after the first three days they still didn't have anything! sheesh. I expected our deputy DA, Deena, I think her name was, to take charge, but on the flip side I can very easily see her ticking a lot of people off.

I felt bad for Christy too, I hope they give her a chance.

I look forward to next week's episode and I am curious how long they will keep it men Vs. women.

For those of us that know - I am trying to figure out why that would cause such an issue. And why would a tribe member put it there, and not keep it hidden in her personal belongings?? Doesn't make sense to me.

That's exactly what I was thinking....that the communal chest is a really odd place to HIDE something!!

Well, I had to go look to and see what ya'll were talking about. I agree, why would someone hide something like that there where anyone could find it?

Does anyone remember the locked box in the communal box that the guys found? It had a message on it that it was to be opened only when they were told to open it. Wonder if the girls had one too. They didn't show them going through their box from what I remember from the show.

Christy being deaf could be a hidden asset. Since she can read lips, she can possibly "spy" on the guys. I hope that she isn't taken out early just because she is deaf. That would be wrong. She looks very strong, much more than some of the others. The only reason I can think of that her deafness could hinder her is in some of the challenges where she will need to know some of the backgrounds of the other players.

I personally like Joanna and Butch the best at the moment.

Another tie-in with Australia -- you remember that one guy who supposedly sneaked in beef jerky or something? He apparently *didn't*, but everyone thought he did and he got voted out because of it?

I suspect this is a plant to create something similar -- I wonder if the girls are getting along *too* well for the producer's comfort and so they threw in something to spice things up? I doubt any of the girls would a) smuggle that in, and b) leave it in the box if they did.

My thought was that it was in the box because the person that brought it had a guilt attack and decided to share it with everyone, anonymously. But the plant thing is a good point, too. I think Christy will have lots of friends when they need her, ie the first time they have to go to tribal council. Two more thoughts: One, that Mark Burnett will find a way to switch the tribe's camps, so the women will get a shelter and the men will have to build a new one. If all the women get sick shortly, it won't be much of a show. And I think not casting any women with survival skills was his fault, seemed like he picked personalities and came up with the men/women split idea later on. Lastly, does anyone remember the book "Lord of the Flies"? It immediately came to mind when the "boys" showed up at the challenge wearing their machetes! Can't wait to see how this plays out! Hope noone considers all this spoiling, it's complete speculation. Isn't Survivor fun? Diana
