Yes, we missed a big portion of the tribal council I think, for Tai to feel comfortable. I've heard they go on for hours.
Another editing mystery was that challenge last week that Debbie was so upset about. They showed her doing the balance beam and being really slow at it, while Hayley went across quickly. Yet Debbie was yelling that she didn't get to do it. ???

Ya, that did not add up. Debbie offered to do the balance beam, and Culpepper just said ok. We saw Debbie do the balance beam and she kept falling off. So she gets back to camp and flips out? I am thinking something was said, a person does not flip out, unless provoked and we caught the tell end.

Anyone else think all that was scripted? The IC word being 'metamorphosis' and even Zeke used that word. If so, no way would I take that deal, whatever deal they offered... if Varner agreed to that, Wow!
Nooo. I genuinely believe that Survivor isn't scripted.
Here are some spoilers, BTW. I need to word vomit my feelings about this. I'm trying to be as vague as possible, though. And I'll hide it.
I'm feeling really conflicted about this. I really like Varner. I think he's gotten a really likable edit for the most part - he's villainous but in a good way. But outing someone like that is a terrible, terrible thing to do. And he deserved to have his entire tribe call him out for it. But I also hate the all-or-nothing mentality a lot of people have that doesn't leave room for errors. Yes, he messed up in a HUGE way and deserves to be called out on it. But he was also desperate, and hungry, and he made a terrible mistake in a high-stress situation that makes people do and say things they might not in real life. That doesn't excuse it - but it does explain it. But now people will hate him for it, and he's so much more than a stupid mistake. Zeke seems to have forgiven him, which I think is the only forgiveness that should matter (and should allow Jeff to forgive himself). I don't know. That's all I can really say right now. Not that anyone cares what I think about this.
