Survivor 23--South Pacific--No Spoilers**Wed 9/14**

They didn't do the truibute to the other players last year either. I did not miss it.

I too wanted Ozzy to win. And didn't like any of the ones left.

The next one starting in Feb. Looks interesting with both living side by side. I hope there is no redemption island or old players this time.

My family and I were hoping for Ozzie to win it all, but that said, who prevented him from winning the challenge, and making it to final 3? Coach? NO!!! Prince Albert? NO!!! Sophie won the challenge. She deserved the million based on that.
Never cared for Brandon, but his family sucks, and we really felt for him at the reunion show.

I agree. I'm looking forward to the next season that begins in February. The living side by side will be interesting. I hope there is no redemption island either.

I'd like to see them do away with two tribes and do one BIG tribe with individual immunity...or the ones up for elimination are the ones who come in 4th place and beyond. They can even it out by making the challenges more mental than physical.

The thing I don't get about Survivors (the players, not the game itself) is the indignity and self-righteousness. The Savaii 6 would have done the EXACT SAME THING to the Upolu group at the merge (systematically wipe them out one at a time until only Savaii members were left and then they would have had to turn on each other) had they been given the opportunity. Edna was 100% right. the game is about lying and manipulating. EVERYONE does it. You have to to make it to the end.

The jury tends to be more about sour grapes.
Yes, exactly. I feel that it wouldn't have mattered which Savaii member was in the final 3, that person would have won. Well, except maybe for Cochran but he would have had a good chance.

Jim is still mad over the whole deal but I can understand why. He was playing an end game and others just at the moment. Russell had the same complaint.

I think the two tribes are an important part of developing the "characters"...their loyalties, their conflicts, the strategy of when to vote people out (before or after merge), the resolution of their conflicts with their tribe by changing their loyalties to the other tribe members. I don't think I would like one big tribe, but I think the two tribes side by side, I assume with access to each other and the ability to see what's going on in the other tribe (who's working, who's not, who is bonding with whom, etc) should be a really good twist.

They didn't? DH both immediately commented that they didn't do it last night, but we didn't recall that they had never done it before.

I thought I wouldn't miss it, but then seeing semi-familiar faces at the finale last night and not having seen the tribute to prior players, I really couldn't remember their stories on the show. As annoying as those tributes were, we always said "Oh yeah, I forgot about him/her."

I didn't realize how young Brandon is, only 19

I didn't like Brandon the whole series but I do feel sorry for him- he seems like he is just young and simple minded and trying so hard to please his family.

I really hoped for an Ozzy win. He may not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but physically he was way better than the others.
I can totally see why the jury had a dilemma about who to vote for. Coach was a hypocritical slimebag manipulating players by their faith, Albert was useless...he kept coming up with "game-changing" strategy, then never implementing it, and Sophie was indeed an arrogant b**ch. Too bad they couldn't vote "none of the above"!

I was sort of hoping to see a 3-3-3 tie. I wonder what they would do if that ever happened. I know it wouldn't seeing as the third person in the finals never seems to even get one vote but wouldn't that be interesting?

yes!!!

Was there nine on the jury? I didn't pay attention. I guess they all would have had to build fire!

I wonder what they'd do. :confused3 Somebody call Jeff Probst, pronto!

I also wondered if Jeff would introduce his new wife. I guess not. :confused3

That would be funny, build a live fire on the set LOL. I wonder if it would have been you has got most votes during the show

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, with 3 people in the finals, they're always at risk for a two person tie. (4-4-1) I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet.

I wonder if the winner would be the one with the least votes against them during the season. That's kind of how they do it in soccer at tournaments we've attended...if there is a tie between teams, they go to "goals against".

I'm disappointed Ozzy didn't win. I was super happy he won Fan Fav. For the final 3 I think Sophie was the least deserving. Coach should have won out of those 3.

I felt really bad for Brandon. I wasn't a fan of his game but it's very crappy his family didn't stand by him. He seems to be a good kid, he just has some growing up to do.

I've said for years I'd like to see them play this game in a cold climate, with snow and everything. It would make a totally different game (and think about having to be cooped in a house/structure with teammates 24/7!)

Watch Big Brother! (although it's not in a cold climate)

I just came on this thread after the finale (I don't think I posted before that :confused3) because some people really didn't understand the concept of "no spoilers" in prior season's threads I had been on. Did people really keep it to "no spoilers" this time?

I think so. I didn't see any boot list info posted or challenge info prior to the challenge.
Some people consider it spoiler info to talk about the show while it's airing but to me that isn't a spoiler.

Oh, I know. As long as it's being aired on the east coast, then the west coast should understand that if they don't want to find out what's going on, they should wait until it airs out there before looking at the thread. I just mean stuff that people have read or heard about what "might" happen. I think one of the arguments last time I was on one of these threads was that "they (spoiler sites) don't always get it right, so it's not really a spoiler."
