Surprise ticket price hike

Did anyone know about the ticket price increase or did Disney really keep ot a secret this time????

Before someone leaked that it was coming.....I wish I had known and I would have renewed our annual passes....now they will cost us $20 more x 2

The increase was a surprise to everyone, including Mousesavers, unfortunately. Like you, many are very unhappy.

It was a huge surprise. Disney didn't announce it until Saturday evening, and even then it wasn't clear if it would be just 1-day ticket prices going up, or all tickets.

Well thanks to the chatter in here followed by the Mousesavers email yesterday, we were able to get the tix from UT for $133 less than buying direct from Disney.

Yes this price hike has many wdw lovers upset. I was really trying to make wdw an annual trip but it's just so expensive anymore. Think we will be sticking to every 2yrs

I was so happy to still be able to get the old price on UT through your site yesterday, it's a big difference on a 10 day NE PH WP&M ticket. Thank you!

Wow, that's unbelievable. In June they still had tickets at the old price for at least a week. Now I'm REALLY happy I got the ticket yesterday.

UCT announced today their old inventory is gone already.

Wow! It must be certain tix they are sold out of tho bc my MIL literally 20 mins ago just bought the 3+1free tix via Mousesavers link. (I sent it to her) I'm glad I got mine yesterday...

Disney officially raised their prices on Sunday, February 23. As we have done in the past, we continued to sell through our Disney ticket inventory at the old prices for as long as possible. But due to the unexpected announcement, we have already sold through this limited inventory and raised Walt Disney World ticket prices on our site.

UT is still selling their stock of tickets priced before the hike, but they are only available through the mousesavers link. You can only get the link in their newsletter, and they only send it out on the 15th of every month. If you go through the UT website directly, they are using current pricing. I saw my update email yesterday and bought my ticket ASAP for my cousin for our March trip! Whew!

Disney has done this the last couple times. The best is to assume a hike sometime after Christmas and have what you need by then. Price hikes use to happen over the summer.

Bump and thanks, got our tickets 10 day hopper/water for the new price but at least locked it in. The 10 day hopper/water was $20 per ticket more so lost out on $40 but at least have them locked in now ....

UCT announced today their old inventory is gone already.

Yikes! Feeling lucky we had just bought our tickets from UCT thru the Mousesavers link about 2 weeks ago, received them and got them linked to our MDE. Now if the the March 7th date to book FP+ off site holds true I'll be doubly happy.
