Tam, what a GREAT Disney day. And I love the countdown calendar and I see absolutely nothing wrong with that lunch. It looks yummy to me and I wish I was there to have it too.

The kids loved the lunch and ate it all... and that is what really matters. They had a great time decorating the calendar. The OCD part of me wanted to do it myself but this trip is theirs too!

I made the batter with a little less liquid so it wasn't quite as runny and it puffed up better. Then I used my mickey head cookie cutter that I got from Disneystore.com I think I am going to make some mickey cookies with it soon!

Thanks. Now if this stupid weather doesn't make us all sick again. We are going to be in the mid-70s this week... after the high 40s last week. UGh! This back and forth is bad weather for us all to catch colds.

It wasn't half bad for a throw together! Thank goodness I am quick on my feet sometimes! I am not sure we will have more Disney days as time allows. I just don't think I will really plan them. I hate when I plan them and then life gets in the way... that shouldn't happen to anything DISNEY!!!

Maybe you could do a little purse size one that you could pull out everyday and take a mickey off of... then do a little dance. No one would know what you were doing!! As I said before our trip was meant to be a surprise but I am so glad the kids know. I don't think I could keep it a secret. Everyday we talk about it... especially when Gavin isn't feeling well. Its one of the few times I see his face light up on a rough day.

I had intended to free hand the pancakes too... but then Jon started them for me and they were circles. I could let him so how disappointed I was so I grabbed the cookie cutter and fixed things.

I got those stickers at Michaels. They were on an end cap near some Christmas stuff. You can't really tell from the picture but they are Christmas themed.

I guess its time to move on to day number 5. Actually this is probably the day where I start to say to myself "Self, we only have 5 more days left, so lets make them count".

This day will be entirely spent at Hollywood Studios. They have EMH at 8 in the morning. We were originally going to shoot for making them but if the kiddos are too tired we will sleep in and get a later start. I really am hoping for FP to TSM. I think both of the kids would get a kick out out of it. You all know how much of a fan Gavin is!!

We have a lunch ADR for Hollywood & Vine so that Gavin and Brenda can see the characters. I originally booked this BEFORE Manny and Oso. I had heard rumors here that Manny would be coming and Gavin LOVES Manny. So, I snagged lunch ressies in hope that we would get to see Manny... and then they added Oso!!! Both of the kids love to watch Oso. You would think from all there favorite characters that they watch a lot of TV. Well, PA winters are harsh and in addition when Gavin is sick, its always a TV day. It keeps him calm and gives him something to do.

The other thing I am really hoping to see today is Lightening and Mater! Gavin will be in his total glory!!! He cold watch Cars over and over... and over... and over. I haven't told him they are there so I can't wait till we get there and he spots them. That will make this whole day! Don't get me wrong, he loves all the other characters but Lightening and Mater are his all time favorites. That is the decor in his room too. So every night he says "goodnight Lightening" to his little stuffed Lightening McQueen (the little one from the Disney store)... and he says "Later mater to the Mater on his pillow. Its too funny!

We are hoping to catch the block party on this day too. This really will depend on if either of the kids are tired at this point or not. It seems that all those afternoon parades fall smack dab in the middle of when they may need to nap. They don't really nap here anymore but I am betting dollars to donuts that they will need naps there.

Our plan for today is to end our day seeing the Osbourne Lights!!! I am most excited about this. I am sure the kids and Jon will LOVE seeing the lights dance but this is tops on my list of things I want to see. I figure if it is a chilly night we could grab a hot chocolate and sit and watch them for a few. I know that when they first start things are busy but I have heard the crowd thins out as the night goes on. We won't really rush enjoying the lights. When it is done we will slowly head to the bus and go back to Pop.

Thanks. Somehow the countdown makes it all seem more real. I think because everyday I have a visual on how long it is till our trip. The kids were having a play day in that they never really did get dressed beyond the t-shirt and cotton-y pants...and Brenda's hair wasn't done. That is how you know she is having a play day!

I so so so can not wait to see the Osborne lights!!!

I can't wait to see Gavin's face when he sees life size Cars. That will make his day. I might have a problem pulling him away from there.

Originally I was going to hold off a day or two to post another day. I wasn't really sure I had anything "important" to say about Day 6. In fact, I was pretty sure today wasn't going to be an update day at all. I wasn't really having what I would call a bad day... but it wasn't a really good day either. I guess it was just a normal day. Both of the kids are feeling pretty good. We went to the indoor play/ climb area we have near here. They played, Jon watched them and I went and did some coupon shopping... which was good since I saved a bunch on groceries! Still, my mood was just normal. I was happy that I picked up tooth brushes, tooth paste, soap and other toiletries for the trip... mostly for free or near free with coupons... these were going to go unopened into the Disney box. I picked up some Purex sheets for the Disney box for $1.97 (again, with the coupons)! Was happy about that because I know we will be doing laundry while we are there. So still... just a normal day. Brought the kids home, got groceries away, dinner cooked, ate and let the kids watch a little TV while I did dishes. Then was bath and bed for them. So, as you can see this was a pretty normal day for our family...

UNTIL!!!!!!!

I got the kids down, and like most nights I start by getting my yahoo e-mail. Nothing too interesting there. Then I hop over to my DISboards folder. I start clicking through and reading everyone's posts. I hate when I fall behind so I try to keep up with each and everyone. I saw that there were some posts on mine so I came here and replied... posted some replies on other threads. I never noticed the little Private Message: 1 at the top. I read Tracy's PTR and posted how great it is that she got into the D23 Magic and Merriment event, which by the way sounds awesome!! I am still not noticing the message in my PM. So I skim and reply to a few more posts and there I notice it! I have a PM. My heart skips a beat because I know so few people that actually PM me here. I open and start to read... and the tears start to well up in my eyes. I am reading and crying. Jon immediately wants to know what is wrong. He thinks something is hurting me and I try hard to read him the PM... DO I HAVE YOU ALL IN SUSPENSE YET??????

Well, the PM was from Tracy. Her and Bill are giving Jon and I the adult MVMCP tickets!!! They are attending another one and also the one for the D23 event. Wow! I am floored! I can't believe anyone would be that nice to me and my family... especially after my own dad was so mean about it. All we have to do is get the kids tickets, which is in the budget! Even as I write this I am typing through tears in my eyes. I just can't believe my family is going to get to go to MVMCP!! I don't have to avoid the Halloween party commercial on Disney 365 anymore. We are going to the PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am!!! Jon has since had to go to work... I told him I wanted to wake the kids and tell them. He thought it was a bad idea... Especially since they never knew they weren't going. I never really sat down and told them we weren't going. I just couldn't break their hearts that way. So glad I don't have to now!!!

So, On Sunday, December 5th... this is our day....

The night before we will pull the curtains very tight trying to keep it dark so that the kids don't wake too early. Hopefully the kids will sleep most of the morning... or at least sleep in. If we are up and dressed and ready to get moving by lunch we will head over to Beaches and Cream. This is where I lose the Mom of the Year award. We are going to split the Kitchen Sink for lunch... Yes, I am going to allow my kids to have nothing but Ice Cream for lunch. They will think I am the best mom ever.... Me, well, I will most likely need some therapy after this! Its vacation so I know every once in a while its ok to have ice cream for lunch. This was actually something Jon has seen and really wants to do.

After a Kitchen Sink for lunch we will head back to Pop. We will be lazy once again... trying to get the kids to nap if possible. If not we will relax around the resort... till close to 4 when we will head to MVMCP!!!!!!! I know once it get closer to party time, our first line to hop into will be the 7 dwarfs! Even I am over the top excited to see them!! I know how rare they are all in one place. One of the things Brenda has said she wanted to see was Doopey. I know she will be so excited to see them all. We will catch the parade and fireworks... We will have so much fun that we won't even notice the night slipping away. And, since the kids have relaxed and slept late...and napped... we will stay till the end! We will have another magical night, all thanks to Tracy and Bill!!!! Thank you!

I have to tell you all...!!! Brenda and I were watching the Disney channel this morning and the Disney 365 Halloween Party came on and I looked over at Brenda and tears started to roll down my cheeks again. Yes, I know there is a different atmosphere between the Christmas and Halloween parties but wow!!! We are going to DIsney!!! And we are going to MVMCP!!!!!!!!! I still can't believe it today. Its like I am waiting to wake up form a dream. I am on !!!!

I spent most of my non-sleeping hours last night trying to find the design for hte MVMCP shirts I want to make us all. I picked out a cute design when dad was going to pay for us to go. When things fell through I trashed the idea. So, last night I found the file again. I got the graphic from the Disigns board. They are a talented bunch. I will have to post a picture of the shirts when I get them done. I think it will be so cool to have matching shirts at the party. I know we will most likely have coats on but we can take the coats off for a picture or 2!!! I am like a kid today!!!
