Surprise... It's Someday!! A Dec 2010 PTR!!

The DIS rocks!! I just saw you over on the MVMCP thread and had to hop over here quickly to catch up on your little bit of magic! :wizard:

Yahoooo for Tracy and Bill!! :hyper: :jumping1: :hyper: :jumping1: :hyper:

Great plans! My mom and I will be at DHS on the 4th also. I would get there as early as possible to get Fast Passes for TSM. They run out early and I think your kids would really like this attraction! Also, if you plan on doing a meet & greet with Buzz and Woody, the one in DHS is so cute! The line and meeting area look like Andy's Room.

We'll also be at MVMCP on the 5th too!!! I'm so happy for you and your family! That was such an amazing thing for Tracy and Bill to do for your family! I'll see you in line for the dwarfs! We'll be wearing the green shirts that say JOY where the O is a Minnie head! I made them a couple weeks ago. Can't wait to see the shirts you make! :wizard:

What a wonderful surprise!! Enjoy the party!!:yay::yay::yay:

It really was the best surprise I could have asked for yesterday.

It felt so good to go over there and be able to post that we were going to the MVMCP!! I ordered the kids tickets today so its all a go now!!!

That is AWESOME:woohoo: What wonderful thing for someone to do for your family.

Simply amazing!! Tracy and Bill are AWESOME!!!

Thanks for the pointers on DHS. I know that if we don't get to do TSM there is another morning planned for here. The meet and greet with Buzz and Woody is a MUST!! Can't wait!

Hopefully we will bump into each other. I have decided to make shirts for us. I will post a picture soon as I get them done so you can see what we are wearing.

Ok everyone, think of this as Indiana Jones...its time for some audience participation!! :rotfl2: I have not put in a room request yet. In fact, we debated on putting one in at all. We do have the request for bed rails and a medical fridge so I am not sure if they count toward my 3 requests or not. If they don't... where would you request??? Just some info...

I think we would like to be near the buses and everything pop... but the goofy jet pool sounds good for the kids. Hmmmm... Then you have what floor should we request??? I was thinking first floor till I heard the stories of snakes coming in the room... and let me just tell you I am TERRIFIED of snakes!!!! Then I thought ok, go with the top floor... but we also have the double stroller to contend with.

So this is why I am wondering...
1. Is it even worth putting in a room request now??

2. If so, where would you suggest??

3. Anyone besides me getting overly excited right now?????? :rotfl:

I am sure there is an award to be awarded for anyone that gives me the right answers! :rotfl:

Want to post some pictures from our visit to the pumpkin patch/ fall harvest 2 weekends ago.. that is if you all aren't tired of seeing my kids! if you are tough bootie! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I am requesting building 1 because Emma loves Lady (I'm such a nice mom :) )

so I think you should ask for that too so we will be close for one day :thumbsup2

Are you kidding, never get sick of picture of the kids, if we were now we would be in trouble when you start your trip report

Tammy, I've missed an update or two (I've been trying to get my own TR updated, plus keeping up with every one else's).

I have to tell you that I had tears strolling down my cheeks when I read that Tracy and Bill gave you the adult MVMCP tickets. There are some WONDERFUL people here on the DIS and their generosity knows no boundaries. I am so happy for your family.

I can't offer advice on whether you should ask for a specific building, floor, etc., as we have never stayed at your resort. I think you will be fine anywhere.

That is so awesome of Tracy and Bill. I kept thinking too, before hand thaqt I wish I had extra money to help you out.

As for snow white and the dwarves. I am 99% sure they don't come out for the MVMCP. I think it's only the Halloween party.

As for requests. We love poolside 1st floor. But some don't like it because of the noise.

Hi Tammy!! Well, it's taken me awhile but I've read your entire PTR! I am sooo very excited for you and your family being able to experience WDW at Christmastime!! Your kids are absolutely precious!! And how nice of Tracy and Bill to give you 2 adult tickets to MVMCP! DISers are the nicest people around! Your plans are looking great--can you believe how quickly your trip is approaching?! :goodvibes

First off let me say how happy I am that you get to go the party. It broke my heart when I thought about you not being able to go! I am so glad that there are people in the world who still help each other out like that! Yay for Tracy and Bill!!

Now, about your room request, you can make as many request as you like, no need to limit it to 3. I looked at the map and decided exactly which room I wanted, and then I wrote up a letter with all my requests, and then gave them examples and faxed it over about 5 days prior. I got EXACTLY the room I wanted. I requested #9137, it was close to the playground, buses, and goofy foutnain. It's in the 80's section, bottom floor end of building 9. It was a fantastic location for us. If you google "pop century room map with numbers" one shoudl come up and then you can choose. Our room was also really close to the computer pool but we never took advantage of it. On the Pop thread there is a copy of the fax that jensieb uses when she faxes in a request, and I based mine off hers!

I was thinking of pulling up pictures and showing hte kids hte icons for each section and letting them pick. Maybe that is what I will do... I am pretty sure we would end up in Lady.... now if we were at Movies I know it would be a Toy Story character stay! I here the new hotel that is being built has CARS! Not that we will get back there while Gavin is still into the whole cars thing, but you never know.

I so understand missing the updates. The last few days has been super busy here and I really don't want to fall too far behind on the other reports I follow.

I still get teary when I think about what Tracy and Bill have done for us. I just can't believe it. I have to admit, a little part of me is DIEING to tell my dad. I know, that is evil. I figure I will let the kids break the news to him soon... It seems so much more innocent that way. Hopefully he will see that he didn't get to ruin a day of our trip after all! So glad we aren't depending on him for anything else! :rotfl:

Thank you for thinking of us. I am so overwhelmed sometimes by how sweet and caring the Dis is. I can't even begin to imagine the stinky trip we would have if it weren't for me stumbling across here. I mean, even with the Party tickets aside, I still would have NO ADRs and no special things planned. I wouldn't have known... and then to add the party tickets on... WOW! What a completely different time my family will have.

I thought the 7 Dwarfs were only at the Halloween party but according to Beriloz (sp?) they are going to be at the Christmas party to. She works there and has a character list. She started a thread a while ago about the party. That was how I found out about some of the things that happen there. I figure I will keep my fingers crossed and hope that nothing changes, since I know things change all the time, and just be prepared incase. I won't even mention it to Brenda till we are actually in line for them... and then I might just surprise her. I think Snow White is at a different Meet and Greet though... not with the dwarfs. :confused3

I was thinking about 1st floor too.. Then I read all about the snakes that sneak there way in while Mousekeeping has the door open. I have to tell you, I am terrified of snakes. I would probably make a mess in my pants, grab the kids and run for all I can... Guess Jon is on his own to run! :rotfl:

Welcome to my PTR!! I think am I learning more form writing this than I could have gotten just form reading the other parts of the Dis. Everyone here has been so very helpful! At first I wasn't too exctied about this time of year. I want to see the parks without all the Christmas-y decor but I am so glad we are going this time of year. It really is a once in a lifetime trip... in a lot of ways.

I can't believe how fast things are coming now. I remember when I first had a ticker on it was over 250 days, I think... Now we are down to a little over a month. In fact, 1 month from today we will be at the In-Laws while Jon sleeps. Brenda will be having her final fittings on her dresses... and I will be in tears looking at my daughter, looking more grown up! :lovestruc

There certainly are some nice people here on the Dis.

I will have to google and take closer look at the map. I guess my real problem is I have no idea where I really want to stay. There are some positive and negative things about everywhere I think about. Thanks for the info on googling. I never thought about that!

***********************************************
I am going to try to get a fall update posted this evening after the kiddos are in bed. Jon is working so there won't be much to do after the kiddos are down... Did I mention how much I love the hours my hubby works in the fall?!? (sarcasm) Hopefully, complete with pictures from Trick or Treat at the Mall last night. They look so cute in their costumes. Brenda is Silvermist and Gavin is a Dragon. I think next year I really need to push for Brenda to wear one of her Princess gowns and Gavin to go as her Prince... that will probably be the last year I can pull it off! :rotfl:

If Snow White and the Dwarves are there for the Christmas party....I am so jealous now! And mad at the stupid Hip Dr all over again!

If Snow White and the Dwarves are there for the Christmas party....I am so jealous now! And mad at the stupid Hip Dr all over again!

I also heard the Dwarfs will be making an appearance this year, and I don't know if we are going to the party yet:sad2:

I am so happy you got the kids tickets :banana:.

I suggest not getting too specific with the requests, I would request an area or building but not a room number. We always request close to the busses and food court, it helps a lot at the end of the day when you are worn out.

Brenda is Silvermist... I am so jealous, she is my favourite Fairy

I must say she is the cutest Silvermist I have EVER seen!!! But than again I am so partial!! :lmao: She even left me curl her hair so that when it hung down it framed her face a little. Soooo cute. I can't get Photobucket to take the picture right now. I think there might be some kind of lag on our system. I will try to upload it tomorrow again. Sometimes it takes a few tries.

If Snow White and the Dwarves are there for the Christmas party....I am so jealous now! And mad at the stupid Hip Dr all over again!

I'm sorry... I'll just tell you they aren't there. I hate for you to be mad at the dr... You have to at least put on a good face since you need him to replace Skip's hip. When I get back and have pictures, and Skip's hip is healing and well.. then you can get mad at him! :rotfl: Its been all the talk over on one of the MCMVP threads, but I am going to wait till at least the first few parties before I get too excited. I am just happy to be going to the party. Its really the parade and fireworks that is sucking me in.. and I know the kids will be crazy for the dance parties and characters.

I also heard the Dwarfs will be making an appearance this year, and I don't know if we are going to the party yet:sad2:

I will have TONS of pictures, so even if you don't make it you can still see them that way. I know its not the same but at least it is something.

I am so happy you got the kids tickets :banana:.

I suggest not getting too specific with the requests, I would request an area or building but not a room number. We always request close to the busses and food court, it helps a lot at the end of the day when you are worn out.

We are still OVER-THE-TOP! Everyday I have been running to the mailbox to see if we got any Mickey Mail! :rotfl: I know, I know its way to early to expect the kid's tickets but it's so exciting.

Hmmm... Close to the bus does sound like a good request.... especially considering there are some LATE nights that I am sure the kid's will be carried back to the room. I know we will have the stroller, but I am betting they fall asleep on the bus back to the resort. It might not be too easy to unfold the stroller again and get them in it before going to the room. I really need to get off my hiney and decide where to request.

I am really hoping that you all want to see more pictures of my kiddos. If not, you should put down the mouse and walk away from my PTR. :rotfl2: I love, love, love sharing my family with all of you. They are my world! :lovestruc

As you recall this would have been our 45 day celebration. It was such a CrAzY day though that we did not get to have our Mickey Party... But that is ok, because we had such a great day that we turned it into a family weekend.

A local farm has a wonderful fall harvest weekend. Our day started out with a trip on the wagon. It takes you out into the middle of a pumpkin patch. The kid's loved the ride out and were so excited to be able to pick there own pumpkins.

This is one of my favorite pictures of the kids. I just wish I didn't have them looking into the sun.

I just love the way Gavin is looking up to his Big Sister!

Brenda was first to spot the pumpkin she wanted. She decided she would sit on it till we all found ours... only she got up and started to walk around and couldn't find the pumpkin that was hers. We laughed so hard. I know, I know... bad mom, laughing while she is frustrated but it was so funny. She did eventually find one that made her very happy!
DSCF0250.jpg

Then it was back on the wagon to the area where other things were taking place. Here are the kid's with their pumpkins. Somehow they got switched because Brenda's was the bigger of the 2.
DSCF0255.jpg

Here the kids are sitting waiting for Jon to come back. He was taking the pumpkins to the car so we could do other things.
DSCF0259.jpg

Then it was on to a little petting zoo... full of Rabbits. Those poor, poor rabbits! They were carried around (and dropped) by all the little ones that went in. I made Jon go in so that Gavin could touch them. I didn't think he would be able to pick it up without some help. They were pretty hard to catch and hold.. probably after being dropped all day. :rotfl2: I should also mention that Jon is allergic to pet hair! :lmao: We didn't really think much about it till he was sneezing the rest of the day. He LOVES animals though! :lmao:
DSCF0270.jpg

DSCF0273.jpg

They also had this little barrel ride for the kids. These cut barrels were pulled around by a tractor. The kid's loved it and Gavin didn't want to get out.. till he saw the FUDGE stand that was giving out samples! :rotfl2:

DSCF0279.jpg

If you didn't feel like riding the wagon out into the field and picking our own pumpkin, there were plenty there to pick from. They had these cute painted pumpkins to take picture of the kid's in.
DSCF0281.jpg

Gavin drew his face on (I drew the mouth he wanted) and then we cut it out for him. I forgot to pick up those great little safety knives... but he wouldn't have been able to cut even with those knives.
DSCF0282.jpg

Brenda's pumpkin... She decided that she wanted to draw. She couldn't face cutting into the pumpkin. She was afraid to "hurt" it. So we left her just do what she wanted with a sharpie. After all it was her's.
DSCF0285.jpg

And since I had already been planning pizza for dinner that night we decided to go ahead with the Mickey Pizza.
DSCF0287.jpg

The kids were pretty tired at the end of the day. The next day was Sunday, so after Church we went out and did a corn maze at another local farm. Once again the kid's had a blast. I can't get that media card to download onto Photobucket tonight... along with Halloween costumes so I guess I will have to post those in the next couple of days. I think sometimes our system has too much lag in it for the download. Usually Jon is the miracle worker with the computer but since he is working Super Crazy Hours this weekend, I have to figure it all out myself. So... those will be coming!

This was a super weekend. I think one of the best parts was that we had Jon home all day Saturday until 11 pm on Sunday. It was so nice to a weekend as a family. I think that is one of the things I am looking to most at Disney. We get so little time as a family sometimes, especially in the fall.

The award for the best weekend ever in this CrAzY families PTR is the Fall Harvest weekend!!!

My DD (6) wanted to paint her pumpkin with pink giltter glue! and I let her:lmao: We set it outside and the next night it rained and wouldn't you know.....No more giltter glue:confused3 Kadence was mad! LOL

Looks like you had a great weekend!
