Support group for us no pin people!?

Just, FYI. I finally got around to booking our trip with the White Rabbit pin. It was a mess b/c I had so many addresses in the system. Took an hour on the phone to get the reservation made.

That's why I want to delete a few of my accounts, but Disney has made that impossible.

I was able to delete three of them because I randomly kept the "welcome email" in my inbox on those accounts and I was able to just click "disable this account" from my inbox.

Unfortunately, with the other 7 accounts I created, I deleted my welcome email so I can't delete those accounts :confused3

So many email addresses, I assume you mean? I wonder if I should get rid of a few? Of course if I ever get a pin, I might be more tempted to get rid of a few of them!

I'm not sure what Calliaz meant, but we had trouble because of having more than 1 HOME address in the system. The e-mail addresses weren't the problem.

Makes sense. I created one account with my parents' address, and if I get a pin on that one, we'll see what happens. I assume that you were able to work it out, though, from what you said, and it seems to depend on which CM you get on the phone. Someone else suggested changing your profile to reflect your preferred address, if need be. I guess I won't worry about it unless I get a pin, which would certainly be nice!!:goodvibes

Actually we weren't able to work it out. Strangely enough, we had 2 pins come on the same day to 2 different e-mail addresses, one with my husband's name and OUR home address, one with MY name and my parents' home address (and I've never received any pins in the past). Neither CM that I talked to would allow me to use the one with my parents' address associated with it (even though, on the Disney account page, it shows MY home address). Now, if I hadn't had the 2nd pin, I may have pushed a little more and been able to get it worked out. But, we were able to use the one with my husband's name and our home address so it didn't matter. Our other issue was that they'd only allow me to book 1 room using the pin. But, after being on the phone for 2 half hour sessions with 2 different CMs, the 2nd CM allowed me to book my parents' room under the same pin we were allowed to use. But, like I said before, I know others have been able to get this worked out even if their name was associated with a different home address. And, again, maybe if I would have pushed, I could have too. Don't know.

We did have a problem with both the multiple addresses and emails. The second address was our old one (which we still own). It must have been on one of the profiles. They also had my husband and son on a separate account from me. She got it worked out, though. I didn't have a problem using the pin since it was in my name. And, I booked my parents' room too.

Thanks for all of the details. I wouldn't have used my parents' address at all, but I am planning a trip for all of us. The reservation for them will be separate, since they haven't decided where to stay yet (whereas we're all booked), but it sounds like the whole thing could be problematic if I ever do get a code. I would imagine that what will end up happening is that I'll never get a code, but a public offer will come out that will cover most of our trip dates (Oct. 9-16). So I'll call at that point to try to apply the discount to our existing reservation, and the room type that we currently have won't be available. I should probably consider other options now in case that happens, such as what else are we willing to take if we can't get what we want. Sorry - rambling to myself here!!

I've been planning the trip for my us, my parents, and in-laws too. So, I didn't think it would be an issue since I'm doing all the reservations and paying for all of their trips (they're paying me back but wanted me to take care of everything all at one time). I had thought about signing up with my in-laws' address too but am glad I didn't. It would have just added to the confusion. So, because of all this, I didn't even try to book my in-law's room with the pin. They were going to stay at a different resort anyway and will have a car. So, they'll end up waiting it out to see if free dining is extended. If it's not, they'll just stay off property and pay out of pocket for some meals. They'll be driving to our resort to meet us either way. The only problem there will be that they won't be able to use the extra magic hours and my plans are to go to those twice for various reasons. But, now I'M rambling....;)

Okay I set up a new account with Disney tonight. I used my same gmail but just added a . in the email name. I used both my first and middle name for my first name and used my parents address. will see.

Okay...I have a "fresh meat" account set up with a new email address, name, birthdate, and street address.:cool2:

I went in and browsed some dates/resorts. I opted not to save the offers, but instead backed out and got the pop-up survey several times (yay!). Selected "not good value" of course.

I created an itinerary with "need accomodations" selected.

It's been 24 hours. Do I go in and save an expensive offer, then wait 24 more and delete it? Or should I delete the itinerary I created yesterday (or change it to offsite) and stay off the site?

I know everyone is sick of these questions, but I'm so confused and this is my LAST CHANCE at this as I'm pretty sure Disney has all my other accounts figured out/linked.

TIA!!! :worship:

I kind of had an epiphany a few minutes ago.

I've been trying EVERY trick posted on The Dis, trying my darndest to get a PIN sent to any of the 4 email accounts I have registered with Disney. We go almost every year, have stayed at all ranges of Resorts, expressed interest in the DVC, etc., etc., etc. So I was left asking...what the heck does it take to get a PIN if my continued support of Disney & it's parks doesn't cut it? I pay full rack rates every year while others get multiple PINs monthly & I get nothing more than a "Hello" from Disney Destinations. Kind of defeating, to say the least.

Then I got to thinking...up until 2-3 years ago, I had a completely different email address registered with Disney that we used on our trips, DVC information, etc. from an ISP we no longer used. So, I went on Disney's site, logged in with my old info & sure enough, it was still active. So, I created a new Gmail address, changed my info on the old account to my new info, played the tricks of saving vacations & itineraries, ordered maps & now I shall wait.

If I get a PIN out of this, I'll assume I've been getting them all along on an email address I couldn't even access anymore. :)

I'm almost afraid to answer this question if it's your last chance and I wouldn't just take my word on it, wait and see if anyone else answers for a consensus. On the account on which I got a pin, I saved offers only for maybe an hour, but mostly just priced things. And I had two itineraries saying, I need accomodations, and staying offsite. Then I did stay off that account for like a week.

IMHO, I'm not sure it matters.
I got pins doing both - my first one was without any saved offers; and my 2nd one with an expensive Poly saved offer.
The thing that worked for me was my home address. My Australian address gets nothing, my husband has an address in San Diego, for which we created an account and it gets nothing, and I have a work address in Chicago, which I used for a third account - and that gets piles of everything.
but I followed the same technique as you.
The one difference : I left the accounts alone - for days - longer than 24 hours.
here's hoping!!:goodvibes

hey jgallant!

you've really started something here - this thread is still going!

I wonder if you are planning something really good for the 1000th post!! :yay:

You guys rock. Thanks for the advice. I am going to try the "cold shoulder" approach and not touch anything for a week. I think I've done all I can do.

"Que Sara, Sara...whatever will be, will be..." :hippie:

I see that! I am very surprised at this, and I sincerely hope that it works out for those who are wanting pins!
I have been terribly busy this week helping a friend paint her house, and we have a wedding shower tomorrow... but next week... is all mine! ;)

It's only a matter of time I believe, that whoever is really earnestly trying ALL different methods ... WILL get what they are waiting for! I am sure of it!

I see tons of emails for tons of deals out! It's smokin hot!

FREE DINING through to December 24th! Did you see that one Bridge???

I am still hoping for you! You too larryz!~

Good Luck all!:thumbsup2

Still here:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: for you!

Nothing for me... trying all the instructions posted here. I guess this means we'll plan some other vacation this year, unless they extend the deal past October.

Thanks for the :goodvibes :goodvibes: , but I've given up. I'm going in December, and I'll be spending my thousands of hotel dollars with someone besides Disney. I'm committed now.

And I'll very likely spend most of my $40 per person per day (times four) for food somewhere else as well. Not my choice - I like eating en propertie as they say in France - but Disney doesn't want to work with me here.

I probably won't even buy my tickets direct from Disney -- they'll get the lion's share of the ticket money, of course, but I'll be supporting some local non-Disney workers with my ticket purchase. Again, I'd LIKE to be able to do a MYW package, but if I'm not staying in a Disney hotel... you get my point.

I sincerely hope no CMs lose their jobs because I'm not staying in a Disney resort.

Sigh. This may be the last trip to WDW for a l-o-n-g time. If I wasn't already committed, I'd even reconsider THIS trip. I still haven't been to Yellowstone...

Oh, yeah -- Kungaloosh! :furious:

Set up my new email using a different physical mailing address last Monday.
Did all the other steps and still nothing. Received the Welcome email from Disney and that was it.
Did receive a Create your own Stationary email at one of my other email address and just some general Disney email to some of the other email addresses but nothing else.
I'll see what happens this week. :confused3

No pins for me either :sad2: I'm going to call and see if I can get a AAA discount on the room. Thanks everyone!

I have an AAA room discount of both of our rooms at POP. It's 10% on each room so instead of $82/room we are paying $73.80 before tax ($83.10 with tax per room) Two rooms is $166.20/night for the 4 of us. That's still cheaper then any other resort even with a 30% or 40% discount and we get 2 bathrooms. If we did get FD we wouldn't have to pay that much more for rack rate to get the FD promo and for 4 of us FD is really worth it.

Still hoping for the Disney Visa or general public offer to extend past Oct 2nd.
