Support group for us no pin people!?

Yaaaay!! I'm so happy for you JB

Like I said before.... it seems to be the use of a completely different address that does it. That's the only thing that worked for me.

For those still trying....

Try spelling your name differently too, so that they don't relate you to your old address. For instance, if your last name is "Smith", try spelling it "Smythe".
You can always change it after you get your PIN.
In addition to the new address and different spelling of last name, do NOT add your phone number, simply use a newly created email account and check that as your main source of contact (they may be able to link you to your old phone number).

I firmly believe they are targeting "new" Disney.com users with the thought that existing members in their system who have already booked trips in the past are already "hooked".

I agree! I put my full middle name in the profile, which isn't on my othe profiles. and I did NOT put any phone numbers in there.:thumbsup2

That's great Disney JB!! Finally :cool1:

I also used an alternate snail mail address on my last attempt and put a middle initial in there, but only the Welcome Email for me. No phone numbers either. I think it's hopeless.

Hmm. If nothing happens, then go back in and redo your itineraries, tinker with your profile (like change your hotel preference), and look at new packages, save one, and delete it the next day. Or maybe you've already tried all of that. Sending you some good vibes!!!! :goodvibes Also, if they send you any emails, I think that you should click on the links and do whatever they suggest. Even the public offer discount emails. Try that - can't hurt!

If it makes you feel any better, I got an unpleasant CM this morning who basically told me that there wasn't really much available with my code for mid October. No villas at all except OKW, whereas we're currently booked at BLT. And then he kept saying things like "you'd have to travel only on the dates listed, so you'd have to shorten your trip." So I said that I assumed that we could add the extra day or days from a given blackout period, but that we wouldn't get the discount on those nights, at which point he agreed. Jeez - like Disney really wants us to shorten our trips!! Anyway, the point is, a lot of room categories do not seem to be available with these codes! If that's the case, I don't know why they are sending them out, but maybe that makes you feel ever so slightly better about not getting one. He also said that more rooms will be released for the discounts, and more fall promotions are coming (didn't say public vs. pin, but I think public). Good luck!!!!!!!!!

:yay: I finally got the white rabbit pin!!! OMG! It was on the account that I set up with my parents address, and it's clear to me that that's what did it. So if you don't have a pin yet, you'll need to use the other tips, but set up an account with an alternate mailing address. At least that's what I firmly believe.

Our original plan was for my parents to come with us, and that was the plan until just about a week ago when they opted to book a cruise instead. So now I need to go into the profile and change it to my home address before I call Disney. Hopefully that will work okay.

Here's exactly what I did in my Pin Quest:

5/7 Set up new account on Disney with new Yahoo address (cleared cookies first). I put my parents address in, which Disney doesn't have because they always book thru AAA
On the profile, I put that I preferred the Boardwalk
Created two itineraries for different weeks - Oct. and December - both saying that we needed accommodations/ buy tickets on site
Looked at packages and saved a Boardwalk package with Deluxe Dining for December.

5/8 More Disney Park Magic Ahead email
5/10 Explore Your Resort email (Boardwalk for dates in my profile)
5/12 A Disney Gift for You email (download a snowglobe)
5/15 Thanks from your Pals at Disney email (stationery)
5/18 Choose your Disney deal email (current public discount offers)
5/19 White Rabbit PIN at 5:19 PM (Eastern time)

I would also note that last night after I got the Choose Your Disney Deal email, I clicked the link and checked out various October and December dates, and then saved two packages which I deleted this morning. I only went in to tinker around one other time, where I saved a Grand Floridian package briefly before deleting it, and I changed my preferred resort at that time to the GF also, which didn't seem to do anything. The White Rabbit Pin came at 5:19 PM today, and it's good for select dates through 12/16/10.

I'll let you guys know if I have any trouble using the pin after I change the address on the profile. I'll change it tonight and call tomorrow. My bigger concern is that the room we want in mid October won't be available with the discount, and our son, who was recently diagnosed with a thyroid disease, and for whom this trip is really for, does not want to stay anywhere but BLT. Not complaining though! We'll figure it out. Thank you all everyone for everything!! :cool1:

Oh I am sincerely happy for you!
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I know how hard you have been trying, and how long you have waited on this!
Congrats congrats congrats!!!!!!

I have spent several months following the directions to get a pin. I became so obsessed and stressed with it all. I read several posts on Tuesday that
said they just called Disney reservations and asked if they had a pin
attached to their name. I also read the same posts 2 months ago and called and had nothing. On Tuesday I called and OMG! there was a pin. I almost screamed ! I had booked in January for 7 nights stay at Poly gv Nov 26th -
Dec 3. This pin was for 40% off but was not good for the 26th and 27th.
I had to change my dates to Nov 28th - Dec 5th and gv was not included
with this pin.. Only lv and tpv. I still saved 40% off the lv room. Changing my
dates and using the discount I saved $800 and moved to lv room.
CM said I should have been sent the email but i never got it. Please just call and ask them. Worked for me. Good luck to all of you and thanks to the people who posted that info.

Congrats Denise!!

I got a snail mail PIN sent to me in my mailbox today. Of course... it was for Disneyland.

Now that I have a WDW trip booked with the GP rate, I'm actually pondering this DL offer.

DL Paradise Pier Hotel $174
Disneyland Hotel $192
DL Grand Californian $264

Offer good June 18 thru August 31.

Anyone else get this mail-out?

Pretty good rates for the height of summer.

Hey nothing wrong with a DL trip followed by a WDW 2 months later chaser :cool1:

Think I'll call Disney :)

Hi Craigdarroch

thats the same as the current public offer for Disneyland. I too was stunned as it is the height of summer! Still - the price is still 2 or 3 times more than all the hotels around Disneyland - some of which are actually closer to the gate! So they have a lot of close competition

The DL hotels are easily worth 2 to 3 times the perimeter hotels too. We've stayed at at least 7 of the non-Disney hotels that are close to the maingate (Fairfield Inn, HoJo, etc.) and last year we bit the bullet and booked at the DL hotel. It was worth every penny and then some. The rooms, pools, resort feel, convenience made us feel more like we were constantly enveloped in the Disney experience.

When I called with the PIn yesterday, they quoted me $155 for DL hotel (not the $192 on the PIN mailout). I kept my mouth shut and booked the room for 5 nights

I finally got an Explore Your Resort email! It is on the email account I created yesterday spelling my last name wrong and using our old address. But they had the wrong vacation time down, hopefully that won't matter. I hope I get a pin!

Good luck! I'm gonna try once more using an old address and a misspelled name. One more attempt can't hurt anything but my sanity, right? :rotfl:

Great Rate!! :cool1:

Thanks for your thoughts on the value. Because of the rate I booked GCH and had that niggling feeling that I would be paying too much simply for the brand. Nice to read that you enjoyed it. :goodvibes

Hi everyone - I just wanted to post to let you know about my experiences trying to use a Pin Code that was sent to an email address that is attached to a Disney account that I had set up using my parents' home address. Once I got the code, I immediately changed the Disney profile to show my correct address, but Disney seemed to have the pin code tied to my parents' address anyway. The first time the guy just gave me some pricing, but he wasn't nice at all and he put me on hold for a while. The second time, a few days later, the woman simply quoted me some different options with the discount, but she didn't say anything about the address issue. When I called back a third time with our final decision (couldn't apply the code to our existing Bay Lake Tower reservation, so we had to make a change to take advantage of the discount), the CM told me about the pin code address not matching the one on our existing reservation, and he put me on hold for quite a while. Eventually, he said that because the prior CM had given me quotes with the discount, they decided to honor it.

So, the bottom line is, if they send a pin code to an email address where you've set up a Disney account with an alternate mailing address, then they may give you a hard time when you try to use it. And if they don't, then book your trip, upgrade, whatever, right then and there, because the next CM may not do it for you.

Good luck to everyone still trying for a pin! :thumbsup2

I have done everything there is to do and, Mickey old pal if you are listening, I am still pinless in Kentucky.

You all aint gonna believe this. As soon as I left here I went and checked email and still nothing, I checked my spam mail and there was the elusive white rabbit. It is using my old mailing address but hopefully I can use it. Send me lots of pixie dust.

I have tried all the tricks and still no pin here in Texas. I give up. I will hope for a decent general public discount or we might not go this year,

Pinless in Pa too. Still check the 9 email addresses everyday but have given up on playing the game.

Waiting for a new FD Disney Visa offer or public offer to extend past Oct 2nd into our travel period. Not really interested in a resort upgrade. We are set on 2 rooms at POP. I worked the numbers and that is still the cheapest and best deal for the 4 of us. We don't want to share the same room, everyone is too old for that and the next best thing is Ft Wilderness Cabins but that is still more expensive than rack rate at POP with a 30% off moderate discount. Right now we have 10% off at POP with AAA discount but if FD comes out we will have to pay rack rate. Still cheaper than any other resort upgrade for the 4 of us without having to share a room.

Just to ensure I'm not an idiot...what am I looking for on the PIN emails? Is it from Disney Destinations? I just want to make sure I'm not accidently overlooking things in my spam folder.

If you're not scrutinizing EVERY WORD on EVERYTHING from ANYTHING Disney, yer doin' it wrong. ;)

Seriously, all my pins came from "Disney Destinations" with an email of vacation@registration.disneyworld.com.

All the fluff came from other addresses.

I get plenty of fluff. :(
Can I register with my name on as many emails as I want? Won't they ban me?
Also... after I book can I still get a pin?

People have received pins after they have booked and even after they have paid in full.
