Support group for us no pin people!?

Sorry guys, I will have to leave the support group. I got a PIN code!

I had done the whole multiple email thing and no luck. I finally bit the bullet and made a reservation under one of the new emails I had set up, I made the reservation on Sunday. This morning (Tuesday) at 5:07 am Disney Destinations sent me an email to my original email that I usually make my reservations through for 40% percent off!!!!

It says "Enjoy a fairy tale Walt Disney World Deal":

20% off
10/10-10/23
10/31-11/13
11/21-11/23
12/5-12/11
12/19-12/24

40% off
10/3-10/9
10/24-10/30
11/14-11/20
11/28-12/4
12/12-12/18

I changed my dates a little bit, we were going to come in 11/26 thru 12/3, I changed to 11/28-12/4 (so 1 less day) so I saved $600 with the 40% off! I was able to get this for POR-I was surprised, I was thinking that 40% off I would have to pick a Deluxe which even with a discount is out of our price range.

Wishing you pixie dust your way for PIN codes!! Thanks to all of you for your suggestions!!

How long have you been trying for a pin? I have been trying for a few weeks now with no luck!

How long have you been trying for a pin? I have been trying for a few weeks now with no luck!

At least a month-checking every day, all day, in between stuff at work, first thing in the morning, before bed, weekends, blah, blah, blah.

Like I said in my second note, I did look at the email more carefully and saw the PIN was actually in my sister's name-so I don't think anything I did may have caused this to happen.

I did however make the reservation under a new email address, and then the PIN was sent to the email address I usually use and I gave my original email address for her when I made her reservation last year. Do you have an imaginary sister you can make up? Just kidding!

I just can't believe it was for 40% for a Moderate! I am still stunned and haven't been able to work all day...

Do you want to come in my suitcase??? Are you bendable enough???;)

if you use your parents address and they aren't going.. don't you have to prove the address or the pin is void at check-in?

I doubt it because my information was all messed up in their system anyway. The e-mail address I got the pin under was associated with my parents' address in their system (according to the CM). However, when I logged onto the Disney site using that e-mail address, it was MY home address that was really associated with it. The first CM I talked to would not let me use the pin because it was associated with my parents' home address. So, I don't know how they could make you prove anything considering their system was jumbling things up anyway.

GAAAAaaaaahhh! I finally got the pop-up survey...but I wasn't logged in! And all my cookies were cleared out, so they couldn't have known it was me.

Drat! Guess at least now I know I can get it...

Just to let you all know I'm still here - Pin-less in NC!

I've done everything with my 3 e-mail addresses including staying off the Disney site for more than 2 weeks - no luck....sigh.

I really want that Fairy Tale e-mail that would rock!

Did you try the fake address? That's the only thing that worked for me.

Good luck! :wizard:

Here's a question (OT but I really don't know who else could help me since Guest Services at Disney.com couldn't help me).

I want to delete some of the accounts I've created at Disney. I went to Guest Services on the site and it gives you very clear details as to how to do this.

Click on Guest Services.
Login to you account.
Click on Account Details.
Click on Modify Account.
Click "Delete Account"

Sounds simple right? It's not.
Once I got as far as Account Details and Modify Account, it just had fields for adding a new family member or changing your password.
I've scoured all the areas associated with my account and nowhere does it have a button to click that says "delete account".

Have I lost my mind? Anyone have any ideas?

"I would like to delete my account?

Please visit the Your Account page and log in using the Account ID that you would like to delete. Then click on the Account Details tab and click the "Delete Your Account" button. Please note: you must be the primary account holder, Head of Household or Parental Authority to delete an account. "

Nope, youre not crazy. The only way to get to account details was through "Manage Account" which they didnt mention, then all you can do is link an account or add an account. No option to delete.

Thanks, I thought I was losing my mind.

So there's no way to delete an account with Disney.

Scandalous!

I thought someone in here once said that you can delete an email account with Disney by going to your initial "Welcome" Disney email they sent you when you opened it....and I think there is a "if this account was set up in error" link....I don't know if that would do it for you...but its worth a look. I haven't checked myself...so I could be wrong...but thought I would throw that out there! lol

How many pins have I not received? Let's count...

There's the White Rabbit pin (20/30/40)
There's the free dining pin (superceded by the public offer)
There's the free dining thru December (book by 5/24)

Hmm... any others?

It's disheartening, to say the least. Do they seriously want me to spend my money in someone else's hotel???

Ah, yes -- the official pin-less salute -- :furious:

When are you 'planning' to go?
Where do you WANT to stay and how many in your fam?

I know ?'s ?'s.... just curious!
How many accounts and how long have you been at it?
(( Method to my madness, I would try to get a pin FOR you! ))

Part of the excitement (( for me )) was the pursuit of the elusive pin!

Chin up larryz!

You should be able to, I have been meaning to, but haven't yet.
I SHOULD! But what if a PIN gets mailed to one of those that I can use next time I go????? ;)

I've all but given up hope.

I have accounts with Disney under 4 different email addresses (2 personal ones of mine, a work one of mine & a personal one of my wife's). I've done all the "tricks" listed here & still...nothing. All I ever get is my monthly "Hello" from Disney Destinations.

We've stayed onsite for at least 8 days each trip almost every year since 1993 (took 2 seperate years off due to my wife being pregnant) & we get nothing. Kind of a bummer to see people getting PINs every month & we still watch & wait.

Larryz, I am in the same boat as you. Just call me the 'codeless wonder'. I have done everything I can think of.

Yep -- four accounts, done the tricks, called and wheedled, no effect. I've got $$$$ to burn, and I'd like to burn them at the YC/BC or maybe even the WL, but it's starting to look like someone else will get my lodging money. I'm not stupid -- I'm not paying rack rate at a Deluxe when literally thousands of others are getting deep discounts. Considering my long-time Disneyphile status, it's not just galling -- it's insulting!

All the lodging pins I've seen cover my dates, and I'd be seriously tempted for the dining plan pin in December, but -- haven't got one.

Just, FYI. I finally got around to booking our trip with the White Rabbit pin. It was a mess b/c I had so many addresses in the system. Took an hour on the phone to get the reservation made.

Yes. We have 3 boys--but the older ones are counted as adults. We stay at POR and free dining is the only way we can afford to go. So we wait.....:confused3

So many email addresses, I assume you mean? I wonder if I should get rid of a few? Of course if I ever get a pin, I might be more tempted to get rid of a few of them!
