Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

Good job on the packing, LL!

I can't see the shower curtain from work! :sad2:

I love your earrings! I had the gold pair from QVC but one of them got away and I've never found it yet!
Thanks! I'm quite proud of my packing! :lmao:

I love the shower curtain! I was going to say that it is very subtle and not too over-the-top. Very cute! :thumbsup2

Be sure to post your project when you are finished!
I will post photos but probably not until after I move so you can get the "full" effect of my Disney-fied bathroom.

I love your shower curtains! And if you want, I can upload and post a picture of my pin corkboard to give you an idea of what mine what looks like. It's very plain, just basically a 12" x 12" piece of cork -- no frame around it or anything. I got four of them in a pack at Target for around $8-$10, and it came with adhesive.

Didn't you love that snow today? :headache: I couldn't believe it came after a few days of such nice weather.

I know I've said this before, but your kitties are soooo cute. I love how big Sully is! :rotfl:

ETA: I just wanted to add that if you do end up buying the pieces of cork with no frame, like I have, you might want to take a pin with you just to make sure that the back won't go all the way through the cork. I can't tell if mine do or not.
I saw the pieces of cork that they sell in packs. I was thinking about that because it might give it a "cooler" look if they are in a pattern or even just spaced apart a bit. Hmmm. I'm still thinking.

I am SO OVER SNOW. I think I was destined to be a Southerner. My grandmother was from Texas and I think I just need to move South.

He is a big kitty and he loves to jump on you when you are sleeping. So much fun!

Alrighty, all caught up! I am also a ride chicken, no EE,TOT or RR for me. Great purchases! Good luck with the pin board!
I think there are a lot more ride chickens out there then I thought!

That's what I was thinking.;) :thumbsup2
:thumbsup2

Love the shower curtain and great job on all the packing! :thumbsup2 Your two kitties are adorable!
Thank you!

Thats a cute idea too, using the shower curtain as the "fabric". :goodvibes Smaht thinking!
I'm trying to think of all of my options before I buy anything else.
Wow, you sure were a busy a bee...I didn't do much at all this weekend!! I love the shower curtain...I'm so jealous!!!

I can't wait to see all your finished crafts!! I'm going to have to send you a package soon so you can continue to be all crafty and that sort of thing.

I was bummed because being sick meant I only got one page of scrapbooking done. I attempted to go but I ended up coming home early and haven't unloaded the scrapbooking stuff from the car yet, which will make grocery shopping fun to say the least LOL!!! But I have been given a raincheck and will be scrapbooking with my friend Jennifer on Friday so we'll see how I'm feeling and wish for the best!!

I have missed you, I'm glad you have been busy and I love to see those creative juices flowing...great update!
I am in a very crafty mood lately, I think it's because we are getting ready to move and I'm in "make it pretty" mode. :lmao:

Just a thought, if you use the fabric from the shower curtain, you may not see the pins....they may blend in, you know? Hmm....still thinking here, LL!!:goodvibes
I'm worried about that too. It's amazing how much I am thinking about my bathroom. :lmao:

Maybe a solid color shower curtain to cut up, so you can see them better?
I have a pin board here at school, and believe me, it makes looking at those memos and schedules much easier when they are tacked up with a Splash Mountain or Soarin' pin! :)

Have fun with all the decorating. We'll need to see pictures of it all, of course!
Solid color is a good idea. I have a wall of pictures at work with wedding photos and Disney photos. It truly makes my day so much better when I can stare at them in between work frustrations!
Very cute shower curtain. Just the perfect amount of Disney. I have to second the idea of picking up a spare. If you love it grab another while they are still around.

The pin cork board looks really cute. I think if you just touch up a few spots it will look fine. Just think really the edge is what people are going to really see. The rest of it will be covered with pins so it won't really be on display.
I'm really not liking the current corkboard. I tried to like it and I even started to touch it up last night and BLECH. I'm still working on what I will do now.

I'm thrilled with your new Disney bathroom!!!! I think the pins is a really fun idea but does your bathroom have good ventilation? You'll have to watch them to make sure that they don't rust
It has a ginormous fan but I will watch to make sure they do not get yucky or rusty.

So....

I'm debating changing my ADRs again.

It's a sickness I tell you.

I have not made any final decisions yet but I am mulling things over.

I'm trying to make my May Trip a little more economically because Marc & I are debating about a late September 3 or 4 night trip in the Fall. NOTHING is set in stone yet but if I can save a bit of money on my ADRs then I can put more towards a September trip.

I was going to call Disney tonight but I'm not 100% sure on what I want to do yet.

:rolleyes1

Share, share!!;)
I'm debating canceling Crystal Palace. I also wonder if it's "morally" wrong for me to keep it and maybe just explore MK without going in to eat. The verdict is still out on that one.
I am 99.9% I will cancel Yak N' Yeti. I'm not crazy about the food, just the lights and I haven't reached that point in my light-mania...yet. I could justify going with Marc in September or during Gnomefest in April so we will see.
Maybe getting a fantasmic package so I can see fantasmic with a little bit less stress...:confused3

Thoughts? Opinions? Clarifications? Pointing fingers and laughing at LL's indecisive mind?

I feel like the emphasis on "nothing" was meant for me. :rolleyes1

Regardless, I am ignoring you. ;)

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: It's really meant for myself so I don't get too excited. I've also set another goal for myself that I have to meet in order to go in September so it will be interesting to see if I make it.

Definately cancel Yak & Yeti if you're not crazy about the food! You saw all the beautiful lights from Soliel's report, G got great pics, live vicariously through those for now!!

Crystal Palace seems very expensive and from what I've read, it's not worth the money...I say save the money, if that's what you're looking to do?

Not laughing at all, you need to think these things out!! I'm with you, LL! I'm doing it already with my trip 6 months out!!!

I am not wading into the morality issue... that could be a minefield on the DIS:scared: But it doesn't sound like you're feeling Y&Y and will have an opportunity to try it on a future visit so I think that is a good plan. I don't know anything about the Fantasmic dinner package but I certainly thought the candlelight processional package was well worth it!

No pointing fingers or laughing... we all do it... multiple times!!

I've also set another goal for myself that I have to meet in order to go in September so it will be interesting to see if I make it.
Well good luck! I'm sure if you set your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!!!

Thank you for not thinking I am crazy because I'm starting to think I really am. :rolleyes1

I've had CP breakfast last trip and it was really yummy but I think it's something I rather do with Marc. I know I keep saying that but it just seems Marc & LL-ish. If that makes sense. We had such a great trip in September, I'm afraid I'd feel sad if he wasn't at CP with me. Yeah, I'm weird. :upsidedow

I'm really leaning towards canceling CP as well. I think getting there at rope drop will still give me plenty of time to get everything done that I want too. I am just over thinking everything and worrying about time crunches. I have 8 Glorious Nights in Disney. I'll be fine!

Wouldn't you like to do a late OCTOBER trip instead????

Not at all!!!! I'm a little worried about that kind of thing for my next trip, the last few have been with my DH and the last two with my kids, too, so worried I'll feel like I can't do something without my family....I'm already having that guilt!! I understand!!!:goodvibes

Definitely make changes if you want to... I am having the same dilemma as you, so I understand...

Wanted to let you know I have now "caught up" on your PTR! RE the Pin board, I would recover it with fabric, etc, use it as the base, if the paint doesn't look too hot.. Don't know about ventilation...

I agree LL, if you're not crazy about Yak and Yeti live through the other pics that 'G' had posted! You know the lights were what made you make your ADR in the first place. I would save up toward your "possible" september trip. Especially since Marc isn't going this time, if you save the more luxurious dinners (CP, etc) for Sept, Marc can eat there with you and isn't that better anyway!?

Good luck deciding though, we're behind you!! :thumbsup2

You don't have to cancel CP quite yet... just think about it for a while if you are not sure. It is easier to cancel later than decide you want to go later.

Hehehe. We even though about going in November or December. Who knows, it could change 1,001 times before then. You know I'm like that! :rotfl:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like that! Thanks!

I'm so confuzzled about what to do with it and the vetilation and all that! Oy! Who knew it would be so confusing. I also had a brainstorm last night about putting the pin board near my desk area that will be in the living room. Perhaps I could just have a "Disney" Corner. Oh No!! Where will I put my countdown calendar!? :scared1:

It is. I love that you all understand where I am coming from. Even when I mentioned to Marc that I might be making changes he laughed at me.

So very true. I'm still debating. :thumbsup2

LL, it's your trip, do what feels right! :goodvibes
Hehehe, if only I didn't have too much time to think about my trip while I'm at work! :rolleyes1

The penny usually ends up just down by my feet, but I still feel the need to do it:confused3. Wouldn't it be awful if it launched itself and put someone's eye out?!? pirate:

:rotfl:

LL, love the new shower curtain! It's very cute. If you want to cover the corkboard, I would say a solid (or even just white) colored shower curtain would do the trick nicely. I also think the plain corkboard-either with no frame, or with a painted frame-would look artsyfartsy and cool.

I wouldn't overly worry about ventaliation. Run the fan while you are in the shower and for a while after, keep the door open - it should be fine. Just check on the pins every once in a while.

About ADR changes...I bet you could sneak into Y&Y around 11:30 am when they open. There was NO ONE in there when we went in December. You could just polietly comment to the host(ess) that you have seen pictures of it, and you think it's BEAUTIFUL, and you'd just like to bop around for a minute or two to see it with your own eyes...

I bet they'd let you...

And if they didn't - that's just silly.

I understand the whole thing too about wanting to do certain things with your hubby for memories sake. With rope drop versus CP, I bet you'll have PLENTY of time to do everything you want by just making rope drop because you are by yourself. You can go to exactly what you want. From the solo trips I've read, everyone has said that - they get done everything they want in a short amount of time.

Oh, I laughed out loud at the pic of your cat in the box!!!! :rotfl2:

Love the new shower curtain!!!! I'm not sure what to tell you about the pin situation---maybe if you found some picture frames that were a little thicker/deeper, you could display the pins on colored foamboard, and then hang them up in the frames. By having them in frames, you wouldn't need to worry about the moisture affecting them---then you could arrange all the frames all around your bathroom. Just an idea!!!!

If I was going solo and trying to save money than I would do the quickservice dinning plan. I don't mind eating alone, it's not that, I just wouldn't want to waste time having a sit down meal with no one to chat with. Plus I could snack more! Ice cream for dinner anyone???

So....

I'm debating changing my ADRs again.

It's a sickness I tell you.

I have not made any final decisions yet but I am mulling things over.

This made me giggle today. You definitely named your PTR correctly! :rotfl: Just go with what feels right to you.

And I vote for December!:santa:
