Superbowl at On-Site Hotels

Have any of you been at one of the on-site hotels during superbowl? Do the hotels do anything special that day? I'm wondering if they set up tv's or big tv's somewhere for people to watch?

I do know it will be televised on a big screen near the Latin Quarter and at some restaurants at Citiwalk but curious as to whether the hotels offer anything. We'll be at the HRH that night. Thanks

We were at the HRH for the playoffs. They put a big screen tv in the lobby, lots of people sat around and watched, we watched the NFC game in the club lounge and we watched the Patriots win in the Velvet Lounge.

3 years ago we watched the AFC game in citiwalk on the huge screen near the latin quarter, that was pretty cool, too.

If I was going to be there, we would probably watch the game in a cabana unless it was too cold, like it was 2 weeks ago when we were there.

we were at the HRH for the superbowl when the Tampa Bay Bucs played the Oakland Raiders...now I don't know if it was because a Florida team was in the superbowl or not but let me tell you about the Superbowl party the hotel threw...They had set up the big screen that they use for Friday night movies in the lobby. They took all the chairs in the lobby and then some and arranged them accordingly so all could see. They had some type of pig roast going on outside that you had to buy tickets for and got a bracelet.(food and drink included) This had been advertised all over the hotel and could purchase tickets prior to the party. The Heinekin girls were there giving out free keychains and bottle openers and things like that. They had a special on those Heinekin keg cans but they also had a cash bar set up in the lobby. It was an excellent party...being from New England and rooting for the Pats my whole life, although the Pats did not make the Superbowl THAT year, my family did root for the Tampa Bay Bucs, we were in Florida don't forget...we felt compelled to root for the Home team . And of course they did win so the party was even better after all!!!

OK, I just spoke to the HRH concierge and they will be setting up a big screen in the Kitchen restaurant. There will be some food and drink specials also.

I guess I was hoping they would set up a screen out at the pool (I rented a cabana that day) but the night time temp will only be 55 or so, so I can understand why they would do it inside. What a great time it will be---especially if our beloved Eagles pull it off!
