SSW veterans, lol I have a question.

If you are going to go to I Wanna Be a Soap Star Live, when should you get in line for it? I am just trying to see when we need to get in line. Bill and I don't want to miss the one with MEK and Aiden Turner and it starts at 12:30.

Well Faith and I have not done any of the shows....plan to change that this time. I would say at the least 30 mins ahead of time.


I am wanting to see the Super Soap Talk Show Burnin' Up ABC's Hot guys....anyone else interested...maybe that is where we can meet up?

Last year I tried to get in one of the talk shows about 20 minutes ahead of time and couldn't get in, so I am thinking maybe you need to line up at least 45 minutes ahead of time.

I would be interested in going to the The Burnin' Up ABC's Hot Guys show, too. So, maybe we could meet there. Or if not, then maybe at a parade.
Some of the other talk shows sound good too, like the Dysfunction Junction: Love Gone Wrong and the AMC and GH Talk shows.
I have to decide how many shows I want to go to.

Same here, so many look good. I would like to catch the GH shows too. I have been watching that show more than the other two.

I went to I Wanna be a Soap Star and it was cueing up more than 30 minutes before start. To try to get picked I would think you would need to be there way early but I have no clue.

I think you need to line up 1 hour to 1 hour 30 min for ANY of the shows, me, why bother, when I can be taking Pics of Stars by Star Tours, and getting pics by thier Auto graph booths. I KNOW I need to line up early for the Stars and Motocars parade, missed most of it last year and the year before due to too many peeps in the way. I like to stand where the cars come out, by the front entrance to the park!

I haven't decided which talk shows to catch. I think the one with David Canary and Bobbie Eakes would be good.

That show also sounded good to me: "Dysfunction Junction, Love Gone Wrong, with stars from both GH and AMC (Kendall, Krystal, Adam, Zach, Logan & Lulu), at 5 PM on Sat." I'm having a hard time deciding which talk shows to go to, because there are about 4 of them that sound good, and I won't be able to go to them all. I will have to narrow it down to 1 or possibly 2. There is an AMC one in the morning and a GH one in the afternoon, so I was considering that, but I have to leave time for the motorcades and pics of the stars.
Let me know if everyone figures out their schedules and if there is any time for us to meet up.

Does anyone know how the I wanna be a soapstar thing works? When I went in 05 they said I was too young to do it. I am 19 now. I really want to do it. How does it work do they do an audition? I am a theater major right now at Salem State College. I would love to do a scene with the actors

I have never done that one so unfortunately I am no help but I am sure someone here will have the answer.

Shawn, thanks - I do something similar to that - I do it by autograph stations and list the times and stars.

ok...not to sound dumb but since I've never been to a Super Soap Weekend...I have a question (well, a couple of questions)...What is the "Motocade and Star Conversation"? Is that similar to the "talk show"?

Also, is the "Grand Motorcade" - the parade with the soap stars? Will there also be a "regular" parade at 3pm?

Does the park stay open later during SSW? My two friends that will be joining me want to see Fantasmic and I was wondering when Fantasmic would be playing.

The Motorcade and Star Conversation is the motorcade down the Boulevard up to the big hat where they have the stage set up. Different stars ride in the cars and then sit on the stage and talk.

They still have the regular parade at 3:00. The Grand Motorcade is ALL of the Soap Stars at around 7:15 up to the stage for the Street Jam.

Yes, they do have Fantasmic both Sat & Sun nights...you have to check the board for the times. That is a good night to see Fantasmic because everyone is at the Street jam. I believe the park is open until 9 both nights.

How early are you all planning on getting to the park before it opens? I know when I went in 05 I think we got there around 630/7 I am thinking I may need to go earlier this year. I really really really want to meet Kelly Monaco again. I know the GH line is always the worst!

Last year we left around 8:00 and I we were able to get autographs. I refuse to be there there before 7am!!

I'm with you Mickey's Sunshine I also refuse to get there before 7. last year we got there at 7:20 and waited in line for a while. After about 30-45 minutes(maybe longer) a cast member came by and said all the fast passes were gone or almost gone so we got out of line and went on in. Turns out that there were some left! I still lucked out and got Renee Goldsberry and Kathy Brier's autographs. Renee came to edge of the line and signed and Kathy's line was just not too busy on Sun afternoon.
