Super Soap Weekend 2007

I was wondering if anyone else is going to be going to Supersoap Weekend Nov. 2007? I will be going for one day on Nov. 10, and can't wait. I went last year and had a great time.

My cousin is going solo. He is a real soap opera lover. He retired early so I guess he has alot of time on his hands. He used to be the president of the sonny and cher fan club years ago. His dd is suppose to have his lst grandchild right before that so hopefully things will work out and he will be there if no complications. He is going for 10 days and staying at pop I think. My dh suggested we go and meet him there for a few days. I dont know. I probably cant keep up with him, walking wise and I dont enjoy soap opera stuff all that much, he also drinks alot which dh and I dont participate in but maybe we could eat together, I dont know.

I will probably be solo at SuperSoap, because my husband will end up taking my kids to another WDW park or split up at MGM because my kids won't be interested in any Soap stuff, so he'll have to keep them entertained somewhere else. That is what happened last year. My husband took the kids to Typhoon Lagoon water park, while I was at MGM.

I just moved to Florida (Tallahassee) and I'm meeting my friend and her daughter there for the weekend. This will be their 3rd time and my first. I can't wait!

Do any of you have suggestions for me? I am really nervous and I am not sure what to do now. I absolutely love amc oltl and gh. I went to ssw 05 with my mom for my 17th bday and it was the best weekend of my life. This year me and a friend decided to go together. We booked the trip with the help of my mom. She put it on her credit card. Now I have been saving all of the money and everything but this girl i am going with hasnt given us any of the money. She keeps saying she has sent 3 checks but we have not gotten any of them and she lives in the same state as me. So there is no way she sent it. I don't know what to do. Mom doesnt think she could go and I dont know anyone else that likes the soaps. Any ideas on what to do since this friend doesnt sound like she is going to pull through? I really dont want to cancel the whole trip I have been waiting to go since the day I left ssw in 2005. I loved it sooo much but I just dnno what to do now. The only thing I havent booked yet is airfare. I have a hotel room at the all star music and the park tix and disney bus from the airport. PLEASE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I would tell her you need the money now or you need to drop her from the trip, you have plans to make. I would tell your friend you are upset that she has not paid you yet, if she is a real friend she will either fess up that no checks have been sent and fix this or she can officially back out of it.

If you don't mind traveling alone, just change your reservations to you and go by yourself. Everyone there is so nice, I am sure you will make friends while there. My b/f and I went last year and met some very nice people. If you see us come up and say hi.

My mom told her how she didnt believe the checks were sent and she is about to cancel the trip and she just said well I can't make you believe me but I did send them and we have a lot of trouble with mail down here. I think I made the mistake of trusting her. We have been friends online for almost three years through fan clubs, ims, emails, and myspace. She lives about an hour away from me and we have made plans to meet up but they fall through it has been hard with our schedule. She has sent me pics of her and oltl cast members and she has sent me autographs they wrote for me when I couldn't go to the one in nyc. She wont admit that she didn't really send the checks I don't mind coming by myself, but my mom isnt keen on the idea. I will be 19 by that time so I think I will be old enough. Do you know of anyone going solo who wants to meet up? I think she would feel more comfortable if I was going to meet people.

I am going with my Mom. She is not into the soaps but wanted to come along to Disney. You are welcome to hang out with us.

We are coming from South Carolina- flying out of Charlotte. Our flight gets in around 4 in Fri and we fly home Monday. Using DVC points to stay at Sarasota Springs.
