Super Bowl Predictions?

Did you read the Wells report?
I did. And I quoted it extensively in this thread.
you should should be careful about spreading false information. It makes you look bad.
We could debate who looks bad, but I don't feel its necessary. The Wells report is not 'false information'. You might disagree with its conclusions, but its out there, and was considered settled fact* by a multitude of courts.

Here's a relevant section:

Actually, it was never considered fact by the courts and the final results were only based on whether Goddell had the power to suspend someone. The courts agreed he had final power. They did not determine whether the footballs were deflated by someone on the Patriots. You should also be careful about feeding false information to your children just because you do not care for a particular football team. It shows extreme immaturity.

I updated my post while you were responding. It certainly was considered settled fact. See above.

P.S. This is sports bar banter for me. I'm not personally offended by the back-and-forth with you all. Its been fun.

But kid comments should be off-limits.

I only brought it up because you stated in a previous posting on this thread that you were teaching your children about all the terrible things the Patriots have supposedly done. You are the one that brought children into it.
"Thanks for letting me relive this era. This morning I told my 7 year old about the two times the Pats were penalized for cheating (Spygate and Deflategate). "

Please dial back the hyperbole. Here's exactly what I said:

It's a fact that the Pats were penalized for Spygate and Deflategate. Its not false information. I didn't say I was teaching anything. I didn't state anything about terrible things. I told them about two incidents in the Pats' recent history that were less than honorable.

I can only assume that the website listing teams cheating violations has been brought up. The Patriots are Saints (no pun intended) to the Broncos and Steelers. In fact, the Patriots are in the lower half of the league in terms of cheating.

Spygate was a joke. All teams videotaped other teams, and it was perfectly legal. What the Pats did that was illegal was "supposedly" filmed from a section of the stadium they weren't supposed to. As for Deflategate, it's such nonsense it's not worth even discussing.

And, if anything all but 1 of the penalty calls were against the Eagles. All three calls that the Pat fans are crying about were reviewed, reviewed, and explained by the refs each time. Heck, B is such a stickler for rules, if he thought the call was not good, why did he not throw a protest flag any of the 3 times?

It definitely was a game that defense won. Had not the defense finally got to Brady, we might be saying a different tune.

You know, enough. There. Was. No. Deflation. We get it. You all want/love to trash the Pats. How about, trash them for something they did? That your team cheats site is full of information (including teams that cheated much more often or dramatically than the Pats.)

And that sites reasoning is full of more holes than swiss cheese. And you'll find that ordering me to stop and saying enough will get you nowhere. That's true not just of me but most anyone.

Enough with the gloominess, we need cheerful discussions here because .......The parade starts in less than 44 hours!!!!!!

It wasn't called illegal formation b/c of the refs discretion. They considered Jeffery close enough to the line not to call it. It was explained afterwards as well.

Plus there is the fact that most of the time, the outside receiver will check with the line judge to see if he is on the line. I can't say for sure if this happened this time and the judge thought he was, or if Jeffrey didn't check, or whatever. But the thing is nobody called it. I'm sure it's not the first time.

So now that the joy of winning SB LII has set in for Philthy fans, let’s start talking about how they were helped in cheating by the Refs shall we. I’ll start...

Foles reception should have been called back because of an illegal formation. It was so obvious I called it as the play was happening and has since been confirmed.

The Clement TD was clearly not controlled but miraculously not overturned. This has been almost indisputably confirmed ...even from Collinsworth who HATES the Patriots(and we HATE equally).

Cheating? Two judgment calls that are very close is cheating? As for the illegal formation the Eagles player asked if he was ok before the snap. So if he hadn't been he would have corrected it. So no issue there.
As for the TD, again very close judgment call that could have gone either way. Did the "cheating" refs cause Brady's fumble?

Enjoy it. But no climbing up on awnings. :)

Or light poles.

Or traffic poles

And stop eating horse poop.

I take zero responsibility for the minority of fans who do things that I consider unintelligent. Plus I couldn't climb a tree, let alone a greased up light pole. For the most part the celebrations were great. Actually there were less arrests in Philadelphia (3) then in UMass (6) on the night of the Super Bowl. Of course, mainstream media does not report that. Either way, I'll be celebrating responsibly (and enjoying those free Bud Lights thanks to Lane Johnson!)

He did check - the side ref either didn't see him or felt he was close enough, because Jeffrey didn't adjust where he was lined up (which I assume he would have if the ref thought he was off the line.

I don't think any of the three plays were something he could have (or needed to) throw the red flag for. They were all scoring plays, so they were all automatically reviewed. And the pass to Foles wouldn't have been able to be overturned on a formation penalty - booth review can't call penalties.
