Super Bowl Predictions?

You know, enough. There. Was. No. Deflation. We get it. You all want/love to trash the Pats. How about, trash them for something they did? That your team cheats site is full of information (including teams that cheated much more often or dramatically than the Pats.)

kaytie, don't waste your time, anytime the Pats lose the haters come out. Take it like I do as a badge of honor. When the Pats won the Super Bowl last year you couldn't find a hater on this board. Like I said the linebacker that intercepted the ball that was supposedly deflated said it wasn't and that the NFL lied about the things he said after the interception, but the haters will never believe it.

BTW right after the Super Bowl Vegas installed the Pats as the favorites to win it next year.

Pretty sure it was something he did/said ...Rowe was his replacement and he said he found out he was starting at kickoff. Butler was clearly crying during the opening ceremony. You do it Belichicks way or you’re out ...there have been dozens of “good” players that Belichick let walk for principle alone -he doesn’t care how good players are. It’s kind of hard to dispute when he basically takes his team to the Super Bowl every other year.
They also keep internal things internal. The way it should be.

I’ve always been a hater

I don’t care about the cheating scandals. All of the teams have them. I don’t like Tom Brady as a person(well from his public image anyway) and I do think the refs favor them often... Then again I’m a Giants fan. Refs hate us and we have some of the sleaziest players in the biz so :confused3

The Patriots had a great season and a great bowl game. The other team just happened to be better. It all comes down to one game.

I'd explain it, for you. But if you have to explain the joke, it's kind of ruined.
Maybe you should add a laugh track to your jokes. They have been falling flat recently. ( Pun intended)
See, some here talking about deflategate. Man, I make myself laugh sometimes.

In all honesty, I do hate the Patriots, for 2 reasons.
1. My ex-wife married a guy who is a DIE hard fan of theirs. I bet he didn't get out of bed Monday morning.
2. I hate them because they win so much. Which is a hate born of respect for their incredible success.

Thought wearing the white jerseys would had given them an edge. But Patriots had no defense at all.

Neither team did - the game was certainly entertaining, but I swear, it set defensive football back a couple decades. It was like watching an old Dan Fouts / San Diego Chargers game from the 80's. :o

It's just boring by now. It's the repetition that's annoying.

Well, there goes my trip to bet. Did you know, the first time the Patriots won the Super Bowl, the odds were 12:1 the previous March? I swear, my bet is why they made it to the Super Bowl - and won :D

1. Thanks to him and others, there was virtually no traffic coming out of Boston yesterday afternoon.

2. So, maybe envy instead of hate?

Oh, I think both teams had very good defenses, and both teams had great front lines that allowed the gun slingers, mostly ample time to throw. I was not sure it would be a high scoring game, but after remembering the aerial show Foles did with the Vikings, should not have been somewhat surprised most of the TDs and big plays were catches. It was a good game, went to the last second to finally determine whether we'd have overtime or the winner. Momentum went back and forth.

2 million expected for our parade. Ha, even the city schools are closed because of the expected crowds. It will be a chilly day, but that will not stop almost everyone.

Green we are. At least until next year's football. Dog masks have replaced the Boo Birds, for now, as this town lives and breathes sports.

I read 3-4 million expected. I LOVE that it's ending at the art museum although some people think it should end at The Linc. I'm in South Jersey and multiple schools in my area have closed for Thursday. My district hasn't yet. They didn't close when the Phillies won in 08 and they had a 25% attendance rate that day. I think it would be smart to close.

Either way I will be there. With bells on. I'm taking my 17 year old son. I'll be dressed warmly with a flask to help warm me up. I can't wait!!!!

It's so cute you guys think McNally was just relieving himself when he took those balls into an inconvenient bathroom for one minute and forty seconds. He just really had to go (from all those lobster rolls and dunkin donuts coffee)! Nothing at all happened to the balls in that bathroom. And deflating balls has nothing to do with the reason McNally called himself 'the deflator' and insinuated he had a scandalous story to tell ESPN.

Wait a minute....wait a minute......You finally convinced me!! Q.E.D.!!!

After all the litigation, the fine, the suspension, and the lost draft picks, the suspended employees, I agree with you it was all a conspiracy.

Let's go Pats!!

Oh the masses. LOL

My kids (20 and 16) will be there. Me, nope. I will have to write a note for the younger one. Yeah, our close, but northern suburb school districts, are not closing as well, and I don't think they did in 08 either. I did not go to that parade too. Yesterday, my younger one said she was one of the few in her classes. I can't imagine many of the teachers or kids will be in on Thursday. I may telework. Traffic is going to be crazy from early in the morning. Kids will take the train.

Eh, I guess it makes sense to end at the Art Museum. That gives them a nice long route, and easy to then get back to South Philly.

Have a great time with you son. Oh, and all the bars will be open if you need a refill.

Go Eagles.

As a defensive fan, completely agree. Although I feel like the league has leaned more offensive with all the rule changes in past 15 years that benefit the offense. But as an Eagles fan, I'm just happy they are WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!! (pics from the parade to be posted on Thursday).

Wait a minute. I saw the video (which the Patriots released to the NFL) and he went into a bathroom on the direct route from the referee's room to the field. He has to keep the bag of footballs with him at all times so he had to bring them into the bathroom with him. It has been proven by multiple people that the 90 seconds he was in there was not enough time to empty all the balls from the bag, deflate each one, and put all of them back into the bag. The video shows him leaving the bathroom with the bag, and continuing onto the field. His job required him to then be on the field for the entire game with no breaks, so it certainly makes sense that he would stop to use the bathroom then.
Did you read the Wells report? I did and there were many errors in the data that have been proven by scientists. The Colts balls measured at half time were also below the minimum psi levels, not just the Patriot's balls. It was definitely determined that all those footballs measured had lower psi readings because of weather. When the case went to court the NFL's attorney agreed that there were no evidence to indicate the Patriots had done something to the footballs.
I realize you aren't a Patriots fan, but you should should be careful about spreading false information. It makes you look bad.

So now that the joy of winning SB LII has set in for Philthy fans, let’s start talking about how they were helped in cheating by the Refs shall we. I’ll start...

Foles reception should have been called back because of an illegal formation. It was so obvious I called it as the play was happening and has since been confirmed.

The Clement TD was clearly not controlled but miraculously not overturned. This has been almost indisputably confirmed ...even from Collinsworth who HATES the Patriots(and we HATE equally).

I’d go on, but it wouldn’t be fair to all the others. Next....

Absolutely - if the Browns were ever to make it to the Super Bowl (I'll pause here while everyone stops laughing ;) ), I wouldn't care if it's 6-3 or 63-60, as long as my team wins. :D

It wasn't called illegal formation b/c of the refs discretion. They considered Jeffery close enough to the line not to call it. It was explained afterwards as well.

Please, did you hear Collinsworth gushing over the Patriots and Brady all night? There's a petition already to have him banned from Eagles games (won't happen). The Clement TD was very close. And if you don't have indisputable evidence that the call on the field should be overturned, then it won't be. I thought it may get overturned but the review board indicated it was being secured.

Enjoy your 5 titles, we are enjoying this one as WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!
