Super Bowl Predictions?

It was an illegal formation -clear as day ....just not called and not reviewable. The plays that were reviewed, were biased towards Phily. There is no “research” necessary. I know how fans feel, it sucks when the championship you earned gets second guessed. But it comes with the territory....

Cry me a river...

To put this bed to rest. If the Philly Special was illegal, check the tape. Brady tried the same exact play earlier. Oh, and he didn't catch the ball.

If any of the reviewed plays were not correct, only the Patriots' favored announcers and unhappy fans thought so. None of the Patriots, including the coach, objected. I don't see favoritism. All but one of the penalties were against the Eagles, one in particular, extended the Patriots drive that was faltering in a long 3rd, that ended in a touchdown. And, some contact by the Patriots should have been called as a penalty. Several pass interference calls should have been made.

The only people second guessing the Eagles win are the unhappy. I have not heard anyone in the sports' news labeling it a second guessing championship. Eagles won this school yard brawl. Get over it. Heck, the odds makers are already saying Patriots for the next Super Bowl.

It does suck to loose. We have Boo Birds. Enough said.

Go Eagles. Bundle up, going to be a wind chill in the 20's temperature tomorrow. My kids are stoked. So am I, though from the sofa.

So McDaniels jilted the Colts at the last minute... what does everyone think of that?? Is BB going to retire in the next couple of years? I can totally see them winning the SuperBowl next year and Bill and Tom retiring.

One has nothing to do with the other. The Patriots were lined up in a legal formation.

Doesn't matter. This falls on Belichick for not playing Butler. Eric Rowe was awful and cost the Pats the game. I think he forgot he doesn't play for the Eagles anymore.

I think that's the plan. With Edelman, Hightower and Cannon back, if they resign Amendola, if they all stay healthy, they're going to be very tough to beat. McDaniels knows that. They do need desperate help at linebacker, which I would bet they will get. Edelman is really the key though. I don't think people realize just how great of a player he is. Besides being one of the best (and definitely the best slot) receive in the league, he's a hell of a blocker. His absence was painfully obvious this year.

No you're absolutely right. You naturally would know much more than D'Quell Jackson who intercepted the "deflated" ball. That's sarcasm if you didn't pick that up.

Oh and keep ignoring the fact that 4 of the Colts balls were under the "legal" limit.
Disney Ron, I love you!!! In all seriousness, you make the world a more interesting place!!

Otherwise, we wouldn't have the myths of Elvis being alive, the faked moon landing, and that the earth is actually flat.

I can agree that we don't know, in a philosophical sense, what the PSI of any of the balls were. Only God knows that.

Oh and keep ignoring the fact
While we're discussing ignoring facts:

God also knows what McNally did in that bathroom, why he went there instead of the bathroom in the officials' locker room, what's the scandalous story he might tell ESPN, and why he called himself the deflator.

God also knows why TB and Jastremski chose the hours after the AFC championship game to re-kindle their phone friendship.

You know what you sound like, Jacksonville fans after the AFC Championship. The referee even said he was close enough to the line. So your TV has a better view then the referee on the field? Rrrrrrright. How about that Patriots only had 1 penalty (again) or that they fumbled earlier yet the play was suspiciously blown dead (and not replayed). Sore losers aside, it was a great contested game with not much to debate. And the Eagles are WORLD CHAMPIONS finally!!!!

He better hope Bill retires in a couple years, since that's likely his only remaining shot at being a head coach. I've seen a couple columns today that refers to Josh as 'unhireable' now. I like Josh (he's an alumni from my undergrad school), but you do that to a team, nobody's likely to make another offer again.

I think something may be wrong with Andrew Luck still or maybe he just had second thoughts. Either way, the reports are Robert Kraft pushed really hard to keep him. So maybe he is being groomed to be the next Pats head coach, which would be great for New England. Dude is an offensive genius.

He did check - the side ref either didn't see him or felt he was close enough, because Jeffrey didn't adjust where he was lined up (which I assume he would have if the ref thought he was off the line.
Right. That's what I'm saying. Either the ref didn't notice or felt he was close enough.

It happens.

Wrong!

He never lined up under center, he stayed in the shot-gun before walking up to the end of the line. It is legal for the exact same reason the Brady dropped pass play was legal, Brady lined up in the shot-gun.

Sorry ...because it wasn’t Foles that was the issue!

Yep. I would imagine it happens a fair amount during games, especially when teams are shifting players around a lot. Just not something that TV or fans in general pay much attention to in a normal game.

Either way ...the win will be forever tainted!

Anyone need anything from the store, I'm going to pick up some sour grapes for @GAN

It's not tainted, you just lost. Be a graceful person if that's possible. Don't try and push tainted on the Eagles b/c people say it about the Patriots. Has nothing to do with Sunday night's game. Play was legal. Touchdowns were legal. You're a sore loser. FACTS. and the Eagles are WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!

....and that’s why the referees were unfairly biased. You’re proving the point. And just like the Patriots for the better part of 15-years ...you’re going to hear people tell you how they never deserved it!
