SunTerra Resorts--Polynesian Isles?

There will be 5 of us staying in a 2BR at this resort. My parents, DH and I, and our 5YO son. Has anyone stayed here? From anything I can find, the resort looks beautiful. How from from WDW? (Which area?) Any advice on where to eat, etc?

I have not visited this resort but recall seeing the entry sign for the access road. The resort is set back from 192 in Kissimmee, east of WDW. I cannot remember the mile marker but it's before the Publix... maybe 10 minutes from Disney property, not nearly as far as the WalMart. The general area includes Olive Garden, Golden Corral, Cracker Barrel and Macaroni Grill, among other chain restaurants. You'd need a car to get around. HTH.

We drove into this resort just to check it out over thanksgiving. It looked very nice, and the landscaping was beautiful.. the Gaurd in the gaurd shack was doing his job nicely.. we could not drive around put had to park in a special visitor place and we could only walk to the lobby.. which looked clean and in nice repair.

This resort is not as close as some and not as far as others. I think there may be a "back way" into it that is off of Oceola parkway that would make it a much quicker trip to WDW than using 192 with the stoplights. We ate at a Longhorn Steakhouse and a nice seafood rest. called Crabby Bills that were very close to this resort. I'd stay there.
