First time EVER on an Alaskan cruise. 25 Disney cruises under our belt, this is our ‘biggest’ trip. Would love to stay in Vancouver two nights before cruise but find hotels very pricey but would really like to stay close to port.

Second the St Regis, we stayed there on an Alaskan cruise years ago and it was lovely and affordable. Of course, everything is more expensive this year with inflation…I live in the Vancouver suburbs and I can see the port from my office. People on these boards always want to recommend the Pan Pacific as THE option and while that hotel is great and yes literally at the terminal,The closer you are to the port the more expensive the hotel is going to be. However, the thing about Vancouver is that you don’t need to be super close to the port to have convenient access to it.
For staying downtown within walking distance the St Regis on Dunsmuir is a good value, roughly a ten minute walk to the port or a very quick taxi/Uber/Lyft. There’s also the Rosedale on Robson a couple blocks up from there which is a little further.
If you’re looking for a really affordable option and you aren’t planning on doing any sightseeing just staying the night before you sail, stay near the airport or anywhere along Canada line. The Canada line makes access to the port very easy even from outside downtown.
We have reservations for a 1 bedroom suite at the Auberge for $237.53. Our TA got it and it´s about two blocks straight up from the cruise dock. It looks really nice. Thanks everyone, you have been so helpful….taking a look at the Sheraton Wall Centre, but also at others mentioned.
