P.S. I have a HUGE ice cream craving right now...so I thought I'd tell you because you'd understand hahaha. OH and I might try to skip school that Thursday you're home because I have an ortho in the somewhat late morning anyways. And Sue might let me because you'll be home. So yeah Idk why I'm telling you this in a comment but I'm excited LOL.​

Chapter 17- You Are Not the First to Crave the Deliciousness of Norway...Nor Will You Be the Last...​

July 26th, 2011​

I told ya this trip update would be coming real soon! God bless days off!

When I last left you, we were headed to the bus stop, which literally took less than a minute to walk to from our room. It was great! We got on a bus in about 5 minutes! Where were we headed? Here's a hint:

We were headed to Epcot!!! I love this park. It's so unique and full of awesome experiences.

We got there in an extremely short amount of time. I never realized how close POFQ is to Epcot before! It's great!

We hopped off the bus and I whipped out this baby:

These are what the Military Park Hoppers look like. I love them! So patriotic!

Once we got through the turnstyles, we headed straight for World Showcase, because I was on a mission! Of course we had to take some pics on our way there though!

Spaceship Earth! I have grown to really love this ride.

Here are Mike and I at one o my FAVE fountains!

On our way through Future World, I realized how much I love the colors and music and everything about it!

This place is necessary during a stifling Disney summer!

We headed into World Showcase from there!

HELLO! Welcome home! I love World Showcase. I really, really LOVE it. Especially when it's not suffocatingly hot out, which it wasn't on this day. It's so amazing. The culture, the food, the sounds...ahh it's like Heaven.

I was excited.

We headed through by way of Mexico, but didn't stop. I was on a mission!

We got to Norway, our destination at last! We we-wait a minute...

...No, no, no. We have to turn left!

Much better.

That's right folks, after 7 months of true withdrawl, except for Jess' extreme generosity in bringing me school bread back from both her February and April trips, I was MORE than ready to be reunited with the Heavenly food of the beautiful Norwegians.

I was VERY excited.

I practically ran (like a deer) in there and ordered my school bread. The CM could tell I was excited, because she asked if I had ever had it before. I told her it was my favorite food in the whole world. She smiled and said that that was great! YAY! The Norwegians like me! I LOVE them. They are GENIUSES.

Here's the lovely school bread just waiting to be devoured by guests:

I used a snack credit for mine, and Dave and Mike used theirs on a berry cream puff and an apple danish. Uhh...BORING!

We got a seat in their pretty outdoor area and devoured our treats!

Here's mine!!!!

YUMMMMMMMM!!!!!!! This is so delicious. I can't even describe how fantastic it is. It's the perfect level of spice and sweet. And you have to eat it cold because then the coconut is almost like a frosting and the custard tastes the best then.

Here's Mike's:

This was actually really good. Sweet and flaky.

And here's Dave's:

This was light and airy and the berries were fresh and yummy!

Of course I tasted both of theirs, but I would NOT share mine. It was too sacred. I was so ecstatic at this point. I called my mom to share the wonderful news. Here I am on the phone making a particularly frumpy deer face that Mike just HAD to capture:

After that magical moment, we continued on through World Showcase.

Next was China, where we stopped to say hello to my puppet pals! (No, these are not Harry Potter. )

After that, we went through the Outpost, Germany, and soon arrived in Italy!

We explored a few of the shops for a bit, and then went to check in for dinner!

Up next: To get a cute waiter, or not to get a cute waiter? Now THAT is the question!

First up, your real life update Your dress is soooooo pretty! Very elegant and classy I like your hair in the pics as well Don't worry 2 much about your hair not holding it's curl, mine is the same way. The only way my curls stay is if i put a bunch of hair spray in it and then it looks awkward which is why i stick to straightening. Now for the powder puff game!!!! Congrats on your classes win! That must have been super exciting!!!!! Your class will probably be unstoppable next year. Do you have alot of athletes in your grade? I'm similar to you in that i'm not very athletic, so i totally understand the play/spectate aspect of this game.

Now for the disney update! Love EPCOT!!!! I love just walking around the park. I find it so relaxing to be at despite it's large size. My family usually starts and ends each vacation at epcot. We also love the Fountain of Nations and Spaceship earth a lot! My mom loves taking pics of us in the end of the ride when we are seeing our futures. Of course you would head to norway I am super excited to try school bread this trip!!!!! it looks amazing!!!! We are planning on trying out snacks from around the world which should open up tons of food options which is always exciting!!!! I love world showcase as well! I love being there at night and taking tons of pictures there. I pretty much spend all of my extra magic hours in epcot there. Can't wait to see what you think of via napoli!!! I am going there for the first time in January and am sooo excited!!!!! It looks amazing!!!!! now i'm also looking froward to hear whether or not you got a cute waiter!!!! I hear that it is close to a 50/50 chance at that restaraunt.

I've been sick all week so I haven't replied to the last few updates, but I did read them.

Both your dresses (and yourselves) look gorgeous for the homecoming dance. I love your hair curly. I'd love for my hair to look like that, but I'm clueless and all thumbs when it comes to such things.

I love Epcot and World Showcase. The way you talk about school bread almost makes me want to try it. Almost. I just can't stand to eat anything with coconut, to me it feels like eating tanning oil. I guess my brain must have made that connection when I was younger (and tanning oils were much more prominent), kinda like soap gum.

Oh I love PhilharMagic! And I love all the posters they have out front in the queue area before going into the show. I think seeing Hades singing, makes me laugh so much and poor Wheezy... So very very neglected.

Ooooo... great castle photos! It's so very photogenic, I don't think you can find any place in the world to be exactly like that castle. And I love Cinderella's fountain, I really need to go look for that next time in WDW

Awww... darn rain! Well at least it gave you some down time to enjoy the resort. Resorts are definitely a hidden gem I believe in Disney. People just don't understand that Disney is an experience and to really enjoy that experience, you have to make it all about Disney, which includes the various resort offerings And I have a feeling that is a puffer fish maybe... I don't know it's really weird...

YAY EPCOT! It truly is a great park. While my heart lies with the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT definitely takes second place such a great place. And I love the Fountain of Nations too, especially the music that goes along with it, Disney knows their cascading water VERY well. And in one of your photos where you blurred out a guy in the background, it looks really funny, because all you can see is the legs Sorry just had to mention that.

How am I not surprised the whole purpose of rushing off to EPCOT was for Schoolbread? You are one of a kind, Kristen! And I think I've mentioned this before but I've never... had... schoolbread *GASP* I know, I know, I will promise to try some next time, ok? OKAY! But I must say it does look good, my mouth waters just looking at it. Oh, I need me some SCHOOLBREAD! Oh and awesome deer face, btw

I know you can see the legs. I blurred them out too but then the railing looked weird. Trust me, it looks better with the legs. Good eye though! But yes I love the fountain music and all of the beautiful cascading water. It's great.​

Subbing....................Great TR so far, pics are wonderful especially the ones from CM, I have been worrying about whether I should change that ADR or not but I am very excited now about eating there in March. The school bread in Norway looks so yummy can not wait to try it!
