We had a 2 bedroom for Sunday to Friday at OKW and then had a studio for Friday night. I requested, both when I made the ressie and when I checked in, that we not have to move, but just "push" all of our stuff into the studio part of the 2 bedroom. At check in they said they couldn't "guarantee" it but they would try, and we did get to do just that, so it wasn't really like checking out at all! It worked out great, since we had traveled with my parents and had given them the master bedroom, so we were in the studio to begin with!

???

At WDW or the Crecent Lake resort area? We had them pick up our luggage and then return it to out new accomodations. Worked out fine. We were out of our room by 9:00 and at the parks. Called to see when our new two bedroom room would be ready, and it wasn't until 3:45. We ended up waiting part of the time in the Drawing room, sitting around. But it was only about an hour or so.

When our parent came to join us at 5:30 pm, they were told we had not checked in yet, even though we checked in at 3:45. They waited an additional hour until they got ahold of us on our cell phone. It would have been nice if they weren't inconvenienced to sit around for an additional hour due when we were up in our room waiting on them to the incorrect information provided them by the front desk who told them we hadn't checked in yet.

Our accomodations were beautiful, and the rest of the DVC stay was smooth.

We had a 1BR for several nights and then were switching to a 2BR for my parents' arrival. I made a request when I booked the room to stay in the same 1BR and just add on the connected studio to make our 2BR.

When I was checking in, I asked the cast member if there was a way to do this. She called over a very wonderful cast member who helped her make it happen. I was so relieved. Not only did we have our room for the afternoon, but we didn't have to move or anything!

I know this is no guarantee, but at least you know that it could possibly happen. Just ask nicely and see what they can do.

thank u very much 2 all of u that have replied
the positive responses make me feel so good

We had a studio for the first night and checked into a 2bdrm for the remainder of our stay. We actually made the ressie for the studio after the 2bdrm and with MIL's points so we could not link the reservations. We got into our bathing suits, sent our luggage along with bell services, and checked out. We went to the front desk and checked in for the 2bdrm. Of course it wasn't ready so early in the morning, so we spent the day hanging out at Stormalong Bay. We called a couple of times to check on the room, and it was ready by 1pm. A quick call to bell services and we were out of our wet suits and on to DTD for some shopping.
