Strollering Along At The World (Finally!)- A PTR (Feb '12)*TR Started 2/12*

yeah hopefully she will surprise you and come early! :goodvibes

Oh yeah you said that before about the strollers. I forgot

Thanks! Yeah, I don't know what was wrong with me on that trip to not take ANY pictures of my own. My BFF was the only one to take any pictures. I was so miserable and annoyed on that trip. I don't even really remember it. I wish I could go back and do it all over again. It's like my honeymoon. The only pictures I took on t hat trip were of the room :confused3 I started wearing my maternity clothes early too. And I continued to wear them for a good 3 or 4 months after having Alex because they were so comfy and they were easy on my incision. But yeah I hear ya, I was totally ready to have my body back at the end too. I was so miserable the whole pregnancy lord only knows why I want to put myself through that again

I know why!

Cheri :rotfl2:

You can go over to lifers thread and post everything you have to say one word per post

I love the little Disney touches they put everywhere

Anyways, here's what was inside

That's a 9" vinylmation. A pretty exciting purchase! I'm on Khertz's TR and they took their 14 month old (at the time) son to WDW to celebrate his birthday. Well, they had the idea to take a black/blank 9" vinyl with them to have the kidcot people write Happy Birthday in their language on the back and have their favorite characters sign the front. I love the idea so I had to borrow it! I've been looking for a 9" black Vinyl ever since but the only place I could find one is on eBay for $40 :scared1: Khertz's DH told me sometimes they still sell them on the Disney Store web site so I kept an eye on it and low and behold I hit the jackpot!! :woohoo::woohoo: Thanks again Khertz for the idea! We wound up only spending $15 on this instead of the $40 I would have spent on eBay.

And I also treated myself to a special little purchase

It's special because it says "a dream is a wish your heart makes". And this trip is all about the wish my heart made many years ago. :goodvibes Gosh I'm tearing up all over again!

I also found this little gem for Alex at Target over the weekend

Anyways, so there you have it! This will probably be my last purchase for the trip before we leave.

Yay on the great Disney store purchases! That's so exciting about the Vinylmation! What a great find! Love the pics of the Disney box too, totally something I would do! :goodvibes

Seriously I do NOT understand why ppl complain about maternity clothes. They are amazing. It's an excuse to dress in comfy clothes, practically in PJ's, for months at a time. And yes I will definitely be wearing them after she comes too LOL, though I hope to make good use of my PJ's & sweats for a while since I'll be home. I will say, I left the house this morning in a maternity shirt that is WAY TOO SMALL and didn't realize it until I got here. Apparently you can grow out of them in the last couple weeks of pregnancy. Oh well! I'm not trying to impress anyone!

Thank you! :goodvibes Isn't the box so cute?? I just love everything Disney does!

I don't understand why people complain about maternity clothes either. I agree, it's like wearing pajamas for 9 months! And you can get away with wearing sweats or pajama pants after giving birth for a few months too. It's glorious! My Full panel maternity jeans got annoying at the end 'cause my belly was so big the panel wasn't staying put so I was always hiking it but I was still comfortable! It's nice because when you're pregnant that's the one time you get to not worry about how fat you look  That's too funny that your maternity shirt you were wearing was too small. But you're right, not trying to impress anyone. At least you were wearing a maternity shirt! There's some girls out there that don't even do that and let it all hang out!

I knew my DIS buds would appreciate that too. Chris laughed at me for taking pictures of the box

Thanks girl :goodvibes

What a great keepsake that is going to make for Alex!

Thank you! Can't wait to do it! I just hope the kidcot stations don't have huge lines since we only have one day in EPCOT.

hahaha yeah I definitely don't do that :goodvibes And yes my fave maternity jeans need sinching up every time I stand up but at least it has something to hang on to now - I started wearing them way too early and it was pretty silly putting that elastic over nothing. :rotfl: but I still did it!! LOL.

Hey so I stumbled across the TTC thread somehow and noticed you on there. I know you mentioned you had tried for a while for Alex, but I didn't realize how long or that you have been trying for quite some time for a 2nd. Sorry if this is too personal to post here :goodvibes but I just wanted to mention it. I hope things happen for you soon. I have been a part of Babycenter for quite some time, and am still part of a little group of girls that TTC for quite some time. About half of us all became preggo the same month and 2/4 have had their babies in the last week or so, and the other half of girls is still TTC at various stages (IUI, IVF, etc). It's pretty fun to be part of the group, though I think if I were the TTC one right now, I wouldn't be so happy. :upsidedow Anyway just wanted to say :goodvibes and that I'm thinking of you and hope you guys get your LO soon. And thanks for coming to my PTR, because I know how hard it is to read about preggo people when you're trying so hard.

LOL I did the same thing. I think I started wearing my maternity jeans before I even hit the 2nd tri. I was so excited to even have maternity clothes! :goodvibes

Yeah I'm on there :thumbsup2 and yeah TTC for Alex was 5 long years. We've been TTC #2 since Feb of last year so almost one year now. And it's not too personal for me. I'm pretty open with our TTC journey. I have a blog where I discuss it but it's mostly about Alex now with a little bit of TTC thrown in :goodvibes Thank you very much! I'm part of BabyCenter too! Now I'm wondering if you're in my group 'cause there's quite a few pregnant women in my group and quite a few of them have given birth recently. Wouldn't that be funny if it was the same group? I have to say it was a lot harder for me to be "around" pregnancies in a group like that before having Alex. Now the initial BFP stings but the rest of it is exciting because I can relate to it, ya know? Thank you so much for the well wishes TTC #2! I really appreciate it a lot! And I'm happy to be a part of your PTR. Like I said, it's easier to be "around" pregnant women now than it was before I had Alex because I can relate. I love love love talking about pregnancy and seeing new babies and talking about the new things with new babies. :goodvibes I just can't wait to have baby #2 so we can be on the other side of TTC. #2 will complete our family and then I will NEVER have to think about TTC again. :yay:

Are you doing tip envelopes? You can sign them with Alex's name now :goodvibes

Yeah I thought about bringing his mickey ears but he hates wearing things on his head. I guess I could try and see if he will keep them on with all the things distracting him at Disney. We're getting more at his first hair cut too.

We normally don't let housekeeping in the room during the week while we're there so we can keep our stuff strewn all over the room but I may just have to let them in so they can do that. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah I guess if I let housekeeping in I'll have to do the tip envelopes. How much do you even give?
