Stroller Help PLEASE!!!!!!!!

We go to Disney once, sometimes twice, a year and with 4 kids that means we've tried a lot of different strollers (not only at home, but at Disney). What I have learned is the child's comfort is the most important thing. Yes, it's a PIA to haul a double jogger on a bus, but if that means your kids are more comfortable, it's well worth it.

I need a new stroller for home, but I purchased with Disney in mind. I wanted a lot from my stroller and narrowed down the choices to the Britax B-agile and the Valco Ion. I went with the Ion and am so glad I did.

It's very light and folds flat. For us that was important not because of the bus, but because we drive and I need room in my cargo area. The basket offered plenty of storage. The weight limit is fairly good (I could put my autistic 6 year old in there if he needed space and a break). It pushes like a jogger--a high end jogger. And, it has the features that make a travel system worth it. I only needed to add a cup holder. It can steer one-handed, has an adjustable handlebar for the short or super tall, and can handle my long stride. I'm not that tall (only 5'8", but I have the stride of someone who is 6'2"); my bil is 6'5" and he could push the stroller comfortably. The sun shade is the largest I've ever seen.

When we were at Disney, people kept stopping me to ask me about the stroller, and the CMs who deal with strollers kept telling me that is the best stroller they've ever seen.

I 100% agree with this statement! Your DD is still small & will spend a good amount of the day in the stroller so she needs to be comfortable. A comfortable child is a happy child and a happy child makes for happy parents :goodvibes

If you do decide to go with a Mac, please buy an extendable shade, such as a Rayshade, to provide your baby with extra protection from the sun.

We have a Maclaren Quest and absolutely LOVE it for trips to the mall, running through airports, etc. But like previous posters, I wanted more of a "travel stroller" for DS' first trip to WDW (he will be 18 months at the time) -- something roomier with a big sunshade and good-sized storage basket.

I was leaning toward the City Mini when I discovered the Britax B-Agile, which is similar to the City Mini but made improvements to all of the City Mini's quirks. We bought one off Amazon last week and used it the first time this weekend, and we (well, only DS and I have used it so far) couldn't be happier. The sun coverage is awesome, it's super easy to maneuver and has great shocks, and DS is extremely comfortable in it.

I second the PPs above who said to go to BabyGizmo.com and watch Hollie's video review of it, as well as the poster who mentioned the sippy cup straps. We use those for DS' straw cup and snack cup, and they work perfectly.

Ack! This has gotten awfully long, but finding the "perfect" stroller has been my quest since DS was born. I only wish the B-Agile was out when I was pregnant with him; we never would've registered for that darn travel system!

will take up a lot of space whereas the Quest does not. I will not be getting rid of the Metrolite.

First off, hello everyone!

I've been to Disney many times but never as a father. I've never really paid attention to what people were using for strollers and such but in 46 days (woo hoooo) my wife and I are taking our young daughter there and I'm so torn on what to do.

We love the Maclaren Quest Sport stroller. It's perfect in every way except that it doesn't have a snack tray. There is also another stroller we like (Graco MetroLite® Stroller) with a fast fold. It's not much heavier and very easy to fold and it has more storage and snack tray.

My thinking at first was get something small and light but after thinking about it more, the amount of times I actually need to fold that thing up will be limited to getting on and off trams and such so is small and light really that important? Especially when one is 12 pounds and the other is 20? I work out, I can handle it LOL. But I've also read the maclaren can get tipsy when you remove the child. (then again, so could I if you give me enough time in epcot :drinking1

They both recline.

They cost difference is approx $100. However, I can't think of this as a disney purchase. It's something we will want to continue to use after which is why I lean more toward the Maclaren...but the snack tray is a huge issue. My daughter needs that. I've seen people mention a babytrend child tray so I'm going to explore that option when I can get in touch with customer service. You can no longer order parts online because it's a retired product.
If there is anyone that would want to sell the child tray I'd be open to buying it.

Anyway, anyone have any ideas, comments, suggestions. Maybe even a different stroller type that means all our needs?

Ps. My daughter will be 16 months when we leave. A bit young for disney but it's ok. A family trip that other members bailed so we decided to go anyway! She is already prepped and can say minnie and mickey...doofy (goofy), duto (pluto), donah (donald) lol so stinkin cute. She will have a blast at parades and such.

As long as the stroller reclines, has a sunshade, a big basket for your stuff, is lightweight and has good tires, I think it is fine. She just needs to be able to crash in it when she has had enough. We bought our best travel stroller used and have taken it all over the world. It's not fancy, but when the baggage guys finally trash it, I won't cry any tears because it cost me $12.

One more thing... You need to be able to push it without hunching over or having your toes kick the back.

So we ended up going with the city mini jogger! We took our daugther for a test ride and the city mini seemed to be the best. I take back my comment about low handles. It was PERFECT for my height. very comfy and easily to manuever. My daughter seemed much more comfy than she looked in the Maclaren. Plus we purchased the snack tray attachment so we got everything we were looking for!!!

Then we took her to the disney store as a "test run", first thing she saw she said "Minnnieee" lol I have her all prepped. At that moment my wife and I suddenly got very excited. I cannot wait to watch my daughters face with all the incredible things she will lay her eyes and ears on. 37 more days!!!!!!!!!

The baby joggers have good resale value too, worth every penny. I have an Elite that I bought just for Disney. I plan to sell it eventually, when I'm absolutely positively sure we don't need it anymore. It pushes like a dream and we do the "stroller as a wheelchair". Its heavy on the bus, but nothing I can't handle.

Ok, so I'm not yet a mom, and also I'm very frugal. This is the stroller we registered for: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Jeep-Cherokee-Sport-Stroller-Siren/17783191

It folds up very easily and is very easy to push. We won't use a stroller very often at home because we don't have anywhere safe to take baby for a walk. We wanted something that is easily portable, because we won't be using it from home.

I have this stroller, actually bought for one of our trips to Disney. I'm not a huge fan. I do like the snack tray though but it doesn't hold weight very well. I could never push my 40# child in it! Very heavy and does not steer well.

Because I didn't like the above stroller for our Disney trip I decided to buy the Maclaren that everyone seemed to like on this board! I LOVE it! So lightweight and so easy to push! We just took it on our 2nd Disney trip! I was planning on buying another Maclaren for my other dd for this trip also but I came across a Combi for very cheap at my work so I bought it ($20!!). I really liked the combi alot. It also has the higher weight limit that the Maclaren does. It rode super smooth. My 2 year old refused to ride in it ... she wanted the Maclaren :confused3 so my 4 yr. old got stuck in the Combi. It was easy to push even w/ the higher weight. I like both strollers equally. Both were loaded and neigher one ever tipped.

Couldn't agree more about this poster's comment on b-agile. It is our 4th stroller and I absolutely LOVE LOVE b-agile. If only it was out when my son was born, I would definitely have purchased this one sooner. IMO, much better than the city mini.

Another one of my four which I like a lot is the Bumbleride Flite - very lightweight and most compact fold of umbrella stroller but the canopy is lacking.

Also, adore Baby Gizmo's videos!!! They are great in my decision process.

We are taking the b-agile to Disney in less than 3 weeks! :)
