Stripping furniture

I have a black lacquer dinning table.

Has anyone ever refinished something like this?

If so suggestions or reccomendations to do it.

is it lacquer that has darkened over the years
that is what happend to our dining room set and we stripped it and refinished it
could off suggestions about that
if its black lacquer I don't really know
