Good morning, everyone:wave: Here is Wednesday's edition.

If a statue in a park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, that person died in battle; if the horse has only one front leg in the air, that person died as a result of wounds recieved in battle; if the horse has all four legs on the ground, that person died of natural causes. (Whew, that was a mouth full)

Coca-Cola owns the world's second largest truck fleet. (Nice, but who has the largest?)

Cranberry Jello is the only jello flavor that comes from the real fruit, not artificial flavoring.

A Hungarian names Ladislo Biro invented the first ballpoint pen in 1938.

Because of the rotation of the earth, an object can be thrown father if it is thrown west. (Hum!)

There is a brass statue of Winnie-the-Pooh in Lima, Peru. (Odd place for a Pooh)

Almost all villians in the Bible have red hair.

Until 1990 sausages were still legal tender in East Germany. (Not sure what to think of that one.)

The newspaper serving Frostbite Falls, Minnesota, the home of Rocky and Bullwinkle, is the Picayune Intelegence.

And last, but not least for today...................
American Airlines saved $40,000.00 in 1987 by eliminating one olive from each salad served in first class. (now that a lot of olives)

Have a great day. I'm feeling a little frisky today, so don;t be suprised if you see me popping up with other silly stuff over the course of the day.

You're right! That's a LOT of olives!

Thanks....:D

I think you need to add one to this list.
The name of the invertor of the flush toilet was Sir Thomas Crapper! And that's the TRUTH!!!

Actually I don't think that's completely true because flush toilets were actually used in ancient times (but not self flushing and modern likewe have now! ;) )

Thanks for another great set of facts!

Great facts today. So who does have a larger fleet then Coke? Hmmmmm.......

I don't know, Michele. I was thinking probably Fed Ex or UPS.

I'm with JJ, bring on the silly stuff, I enjoy this!

Self flushing gravity "pit" toilets were around in antient times, but not a FLUSH toilet!:) We can still thank Sir Thomas Crapper for that!

Very interesting.

Sam Houston died in his own bed in Huntsville yet his statue in Hermann Park, Houston (He's pointing toward San Jacinto) has him astride a horse with one foot lifted. I guess the sculptor didn't know the rules ;)

Interesting as usual. :) Didn't know that about those statues though.
