Walt Disney was, of course, known for being quite a storyteller. This does seem to be a dying art. In an age when "romance" often seems to mean nothing more than pornography by text and "suspense" just means the graphic murders of characters the reader was never introduced to, it is nice to have a book, movie, or theme park ride where you want to know what it going to happen next.

Do you like to tell stories? How would you rate your skills at it?

I have done a little research and found that there are associations promoting the oral history of storytelling. I am impressed by people who can just make up entertaining stories on the fly like that and am so happy to see the art form being kept alive.

Has anyone here ever attended any of the festivals like those which I saw mentioned in my Yahoo search? It's not just little kids stories either, although that is indeed charming in itself.
